Heff was right. It was some territorial dispute but the Pokémon settled down after an hour or two

Just a little designing for some ranger base layout ideas

It’s encouraged by the base leader to decorate the doors to give the boring white halls a bit more life (that and to make them easily distinguishable in the dark)

My idea for the bed is that the headboard is a bit more thicker to place things on it so that’s the best I could get too while keeping the bedding simple

Asmo stands beside Stephen in the light drizzle of the rain as the older man glared towards the scene before them. Just a good distance away from the bow of the ship was a wall of storm and pillars that towered far above the Crow’s Nest of the Bullship. The younger man grimaced at the sight of the harsh waves and stones, turning their attention to Stephen.

“Hey, are you sure this is the right place? “ Asmo inquired, gesturing his hand towards the storm front. The other man tilts their head just slightly to acknowledge the kid next to him, golden braid draped safely underneath a bright yellow rainproof poncho. The lanky man lets out a soft hum as their eyes began to shut, enjoying the gentle drizzle on their face. Stephen, the make-do doctor of the Bullship, opened their eyes and returned their attention to the rocky pillars and the deadly waves that crashed against them. A natural barrier for what was beyond. A one stop trip for those with a certain death wish lest they knew how to navigate it.

“This is where she said we should meet up last year. Mentioned she had duty to the people of the Archipelago,” the older man murmured. He tilts his head back before rocking it back forward, large round glasses slipping out from underneath the hood of his poncho. Stephen let out a small annoyed grunt when the lens began to fill with raindrops.

“Do you think in another life we could’ve all happily lived together?” she spoke in a whisper, looking down at her husband.

“Perhaps…. HE surely thinks so or at least he’s made extremely vague references to alternate universes,” the man replied, looking up to his wife from the rock he sat on. A tired smile crossed his face before turning his head to the beach where their daughter was digging through the sand with the help of their mudkip.

“You know, shes going into college soon. She got a scholarship to a really good engineering college”

“Hmm, college. That’s that higher level education you mentioned, yes?”

Wizard chuckles softly and smiles. “Yeah, it is. She’s really smart. I assume it’s from HIS blood magic that influencing her amazing abilities.”

The larger woman hums quietly, leaning forward carefully and resting their upper body on some rock pillars, reaching out and gently caressing her husband’s face with a finger

The other raises their head, chuckling softly and taking her finger in his hands . Bringing forth the finger, Wizard placed a gentle kiss to the tip, tasting the sea salt that dripped off his mate’s body.

“Perhaps in another life we wouldn’t be forced to live so far apart~”
