I...tried to make a meme and got carried away and made A Thing that is like partially unfinished because i spent like 3 hours on it and then got tired.

I think this is mostly scientifically accurate but truth be told, there seems to be relatively little research on succession in regards to lawns specifically (as opposed to like, pastures). I am not exaggerating how bad they are for biodiversity though—recent research has referred to them as "ecological deserts."

I think a very important unwritten piece of locked tomb canon is that corona and ianthe are absolutely both writing home regularly to mummy throughout the entire series - not with any helpful plot points or anything, they just want pocket money. Their mother, hatefully running a planet that she also hates, has the knack of silently wiring pocket money in an incredibly nasty and hurtful way - despite not accompanying it with a note or anything - just a sort of careful psychic warfare involving timing, amounts of money, the transfer service, etc.

(Although at at one point she asks if one of them has Babs, or if he’s dead or what. Corona ghosts her and ianthe texts back “who”)

Using the bathroom in general is a human right and should be enshrined as such and I'm not joking. Too many groups of people are denied bathroom breaks or the use of bathrooms entirely--disabled people, blue-collar workers, children, homeless people, prisoners, students, the elderly. I'm surely missing other groups. Not using the bathroom when needed can cause serious, long-term damage, not to mention death. Free, clean, accessible bathrooms should be available everywhere. It's fucking cruel to deny someone the use of the bathroom, regardless of the reasoning. I'd rather every student in the world goof off and every homeless person make a mess and every worker "steal company time" than let one person suffer because they're denied the right to fucking pee in peace.

#yeah so I'm somewhat of a homeless person myself #and every time I'm downtown in my city interacting with various homelessness specific resources it is just really evident how lacking #access to facilities are #outside of one of the major shelter complexes was a ton of signs “children supervised in this area: do not defecate/urinate within X feet” #smears & stains on the sidewalks that you can pretend to not know is what it is but ya know #there will be a resource tent every 10 streets with 1 porta-potty & every business advertising its lack of public restrooms. #dozens of folks lined up outside the city's major library waiting for it to open. no doubt for a place to sit but also a place to shit #few months ago before I was evicted I was sat at a bus stop and a group of homeless folks were behind it #one of them crouched to urinate behind the stop and the sidewalk was tilted so I had to pull my feet up so not to get piss on my boots #no judgement to anyone in these literally shitty situations. obviously #this just has to change #it's inhumane for so many people to be living like this

Honestly, Fallout was so ballsy for explicitly stating that before its destruction humanity had a solution, our leaders just decided it wasn't worth pursuing because it was incompatible with capitalism.

I don't know which scorched more Earth, the bombs, or this show's commentary.

the Fallout show has been awesome because it means that people who are watching the show but don't know anything about the game come to me with lore questions. this is incredibly cool for me, an autistic person whose special interest is Fallout, because i love nothing more than an excuse to be extremely fucking annoying about the things i'm hyperfixated on
