I don’t know who I am most days.

Some days I’ll wake up confident with the blood of fearless warriors running through my veins. Other days I wake up with no other desire than to be the warm soft presence that reminds every soul that they are loved.

I don’t where the balance is, but I am ready to find it.

I’m anxious to meet myself finally.

Nobody is shaming you for being vegan until you outright shove your beliefs down everyone else’s throats. Why does it matter so much to you if people aren’t vegan? Smh

Hmmm, why would it matter to me that people continue to exploit and slaughter animals, what possible reason could there be?

Holding hands.

Resting their heads over my shoulder.

Lying on their lap or chest.

Kisses on the forehead.

Playing with my hair.

When they give me that look of admiration.

Them making me laugh.

Giving compliments.

Putting their arms around me.

Making me feel heard and seen without even trying.

Random hugs when words aren't needed.

When they remember the things I am passionate about.

Buying me food.

Them checking on me constantly.

When they respect my boundaries.

When they talk to me about things that reminds them of me.

When they speak their truth.

When they say they love me.

When they lift me up, support me and make me feel valuable and capable when I least believe in it.

there are so many things I want to be before the sun sets on my days, so many truths I hold dear that I often lack the courage to act on...I’m putting some here as a rekindling of spirit towards becoming a human I am proud to be

I want to return to vegetarianism because I want my body to be a garden, not a graveyard

I want to make sure the money I spend supports ethical endeavors

I want to stop putting labels on myself and recognize that I am a human being—not just an aesthetic

I want to enjoy reading again, it used to be one of my greatest pleasures until warped by higher Ed

I want to be slow, willing to take my time to enjoy and savor

I want to seek answers to my spiritual quandaries so that I don’t have to live in a state of uncertainty

I hope this doesn’t sound strange, but I think writing out intention can spur us into action. What are some goals y’all have?
