Spooky nails for spooky season!

I did a split ghost/vampire theme (with some added spooky kitties) because I loved the designs, and though it's fairly simple layered stamping I like how the colors work together. The holo stamping polish over the dark grey makes the ghosts fade in and out in a way that I love. I also love that the holotaco polish worked so well for stamping so that I could match the ghosts on my accent nail.

Lots of fun putting this together, especially adding the splashes of blood at the end!

Hi! I am a man who transitioned at 18, and discovered that when I was comfortable with my gender it made playing with femme fashion more enjoyable. I can't be an egg waiting to crack because I had to realize I wasn't a girl to get where I am.

I'm also not non-binary or gender fluid. Those are important identities in their own right, but I want to specify that just because someone is GNC doesn't mean they're non-binary, and assuming so is still bad. I've had a lot of people shocked that I don't use they/them.

To all my trans siblings out there, you get to determine your own identity and express yourself the way you want! Finding communities online can help inspire you, but don't let those communities just put you in a new box.

I think it's important to let guys be gender non conforming without telling them they're a girl, cause actually misgendering people is still shit even when you are pro trans. "You're a girl, an egg waiting to crack, and that's ok" how about you are a boy and a man and it's still ok if you want to do something that doesn't align with traditional ideals of your gender. You can still be he/him in a skirt and makeup.

Went out to goth club last night. Got to use a lipstick that I don't get to wear often which is this beautiful deep metallic brown/green called Metallurgy from Portland Black Lipstick Company. Dress from Nerdy Keppie, @vaspider on tumblr.

Edit: forgot to mention my earrings are from the Women Helping Women Beadwork instagram page. They sell beadwork made by incarcerated indiginous women in Canada and 100% of the profit goes directly back to the incarcerated individuals. Highly recommend checking them out.

Had a great time dancing with my mom, and ended the night by throwing a cup of water in my asshole dad's face. Definitely a good night.

New week, new Pride nails!

Did a trans flag gradient w/ holotaco polish, then used maniology stamps. Snails are bc I love snails.

(also, all snails are both biologically male and female in terms of reproductive roles, so would be considered intersex, and while not all intersex ppl are trans, I've decided that these snails are trans. Can snails be cis if there is not a way to gender them correctly? Can snails be trans if there's no way to misgender them? Can snails be cis or trans at all? I don't care and neither should you, these snails are trans.)

My dress and nails from the Pride events that I worked last weekend.

The dress is made out of fabric from Twisted Needle Textiles (currently changing management and will have a new name soon, but can still be found on facebook), and the nails are done with holotaco and stamps from Maniology.

I worked booths for my job, the Colorado State Public Defender. We educated people about their basic civil rights, and some queer legal history. For example, did you know that on the night of Stonewall, the police had a warrant for the illegal sale of alcohol, which allowed them to enter the Stonewall Inn and arrest people for crossdressing.

I made this dress out of fabric from my favorite fabric store, Twisted Needle Textiles.

I'm super happy with how it turned out. Fitting clothes is a lot of work, turns out. And it does take extra effort to add pockets, but I've decided if I'm going to go to the effort of making something from scratch, I can spend the extra time to add pockets. :)

More dresses and skirts to come!!! This is one of three pride dresses that I have planned.

Pics of my recent outfit that I wore to the Dresden Dolls concert.

I made the dress myself with fabric from Twisted Needle Textiles (if you want any fabric the store is closing this month so get your orders in soon!).

We waited after the show with the hopes Amanda Palmer would sign an old poster of mine. My mom got me this poster when I was too young to go to the show, and it only had Brian Viglione's signature, and it also had my deadname on it. After some tense waiting, and some mis-information from security, Amanda came out and was just hanging out. She was happy to sign my poster with my new name, and she connected with my mom as well.

Apparently it ended up being a meaningful connection for her as well, because she posted about us the next day!!!! Amanda Palmer is my favorite singer of all time, so its incredible to have had this exchange.

Neverafter Finale pt. 1 nails!

I wasn't able to fit in Rosamund, but I've already done sleeping beauty nails. I did a version of a sweater that Ally wore as Tim, w/ the gay and trans symbols ofc. Then I got my frog designs in so I have a little Frog Prince! This is my first version of Pib. I have better puss in boots designs coming in the mail.

I'm getting more comfortable w/ some free handing, and reverse stamping. Happy w/ how these came out, but also have improvements I want to make.

I'm gonna do a rewatch w/ nails themed to each episode now that I have more designs. :)
