Rise of the Guardians: Firefly

I was actually really terrified to color this because I didn't want to fuck it up. I think it came out really well.

About the fic:

After the fall of Pitch, things continued as normal, for the most part. Until a new foe surfaces to once more curropt the hearts of children. In the face of this new threat; once more, a new Guardian is chosen. Firefly. To defeat this new Foe, Jack must face his past sorrows and make room for love again.

About the character:

After graduating high-school, Jamie joins the Airforce. His plane crashes and he is left to wander through the desert alone and wounded, he comes across some small group of orphaned children. He knows he won't make it so he gives the kids the last of his rations and water. He then dies and is reborn as Jamie Blaze. The Spirit of Summer.

The clothing design is based off what we saw in Jack's transformation. His clothes are roughly the same from His crash. I always assumed Jack had gotten the Hoodie after the times had changed, once his old cloak had grown old. Like Jack, Jamie's clothing reflect his ability. Jack had frost covering him, but because Jamie uses fire, I decided there might be little singed bits.

The wings are inspired by Toothiana. I originally wanted to make them feathered and in the original art Tooth's wings are, but ultimately I liked the character concepts from the movie and I felt Jamie Blaze would fit more in the universe of ROTG with Fairy wings. (Also, I realized it fit better because I had already decided his name was Firefly. Happy accident)

The Mask:

I wanted his face covered for a big reveal later, but also decided that it made sense for a character who was in the desert.

Shoe laces:

I mean, he flies like tooth so he never really stands on the ground for long... so why tie his shoes? I thought this would be a bit of extra fun. He is supposed to be a guardian of childhood so there needed to be something kind of cute.

I could honestly go into even more detail about color choices, clothing types and so on. Let me know if you want to know more.

Rise of the Guardians: Firefly

Concept art for a fanfic I'm writing featuring a sorta Canon not Canon Character. Named Jamie Blaze aka Firefly.

I added the light flare in edit, but Im thinking I'll do something similar with the finished product.

This was my experiment with colors. I was going more for a desert camo khaki with the scarf and goggles. But the general idea is there.
