hey!!! i was gone for too long (fuck my exams) but now that i am back i realised you haven't posted anything for at least a month.I was expecting to find you on my dash when i logged back but you weren't there at all and here your blog seems inactive. I miss your fics (I am totally not pressuring you to post, just curious and kinda missing you) also hope you are good.

🥺 thank you anon for this ask, it sort of made my day. About posting... 👉👈 There are about 99.999% chances that I may not be keeping this blog anymore or writing more fics :( I have recently hit a major realisation that I am not that decent of a writer that I was in my head... The notes/comments I used to receive before made me believe that I could have a decent life as a fiction writer in the future but observing the performance of my latest works... It turns out that my beliefs were just delusional. It was not me or my writing that earned those likes or comments. Instead, it was Harrison Osterfield and the fandom's desire to live vicariously through Haz x Reader fics. I am in the transitional phase of my life rn and have to make the right choices to fulfil my dreams of becoming a writer, else I'll basically end up broke. Now that I have acquainted with my delusion, I guess it's time to actually work on the craft, practice, learn, improve & build my target audience considering my place in a third world country as a person wanting to write contemporary south asian romances and thus having a very localised, non-global audience (unless I just bash the third world and accept the first world as the saviour in my future writing and win a pulitzar lol). So yeah, I guess it's time to wake up and exit the dreamish fanfic space to do nightmarish real stuff. Peace out ✌️ also, for everyone who has ever read & supported my work, thank you so much. I can't express how your engagement has helped me move on with my life and work for my dreams. 💖💖💖

summary ➳ tom has to leave for filming his new movie but he seems to be forgetting something. thankfully (y/n) is there to remind him.

Tom had to be the most reckless person you ever knew. It was nothing short of wonted. You watched him as he stuffed his bag with clothes and utilitarians. You were laying on his bed with your arms out over the space unoccupied by his suitcase as your legs hung off the bed, “got your passport?” you asked him, swinging your legs alternatively.

“Stop worrying so much, (y/n),” He chuckled and lifted his passport up for you to see, “I’ve got everything.”

“Pfft!” You dismissed, “That’s what you said last time.”

“Promise I’ve got everything this time, now stop treating me like a child.” Plopping down beside your head, he placed his passport on the bedside table. You flipped around, perking on your elbows to look him in the eye.

“You know I can never do that.” You mumbled as if he was a child, lost on his way home from a candy shop. His heart leapt a little inside his chest when your hand reached up and patted his cheeks a few times before you pulled yourself up and sat beside him, “I’m gonna miss you so much, Tom.”

He sighed sadly, throwing his arms around your waist and resting his head in the crook of your neck as you did the same, wrapping your arms around over his shoulders. The intimacy was almost too much for just friends, “It’s just… four months.” He pacified by rubbing your back gently, hearing the small hum that left your pursed lips.

Tom hated these moments. He hated leaving you. Hated leaving his family, his friends and you. Well, he never really included you in the friends’ category, you’d somehow managed to bump yourself up to a special place in his heart that he swore solely belonged to you.

“Everything is going to suck without you” You sighed, laying emphasis on ‘suck’. He patted your back dramatically making you feel like a child who had just been denied over the upbringing of take out from McDonald’s.

“We can facetime each day!” He provided, making you part from his embrace only to give him a bewildered expression.

“For real?” You wondered out loud.

“No,” He sighed, watching your expression fall, “work won’t allow. But on the brighter side, it’s just four months!” Opening his arms again, he grinned in hopes to cheer you up.

“Only four months.” You nodded and fell back into his arms.

The next morning Tom had been a ball of excitement, looking forward to his new project, ready as ever to act his ass off. You assumed that was the same reason for him to forget his wallet, the brown leather piece of accessory lay abandoned on his bedside table. You picked it up and rushed out into the living room to give it back to him before it was too late.

“Tom!” You called out, making him stop in his tracks, focusing his attention back to you from the suitcase he’d just pulled past the threshold, “You forgot something!”

He thought for a moment before shuffling over to you, standing barely one foot away. You noticed his cheeks flushed slightly pink but before you could mouth your next sentence, Tom’s lips were on yours.

He quickly yet tenderly placed his hand up against your cheek, the pad of his thumb stroking the skin ever so slightly. You stiffened for a moment but all that went to the sewer as his other hand came in contact with your waist, sending small tingles throughout your body and you kissed him back.

Your hands were still limp by your side, one still clutching his wallet, when he parted to look into your eyes. Your lack of reply was the reason for him further backing up, “Sorry, I don’t know what- I just- when you said that- I’m just sorry.” He stuttered out, feeling bad about his actions.

“Well, you forgot your wallet…” You held it out for him, only making embarrassment gnaw into every inch of his body deeper, “But thanks for the kiss, that was-” You cut yourself off with a chuckle watching as the brunette’s eyes glimmered, “It was really good.”

“That’s great, c-can I do it once again?” He asked, already dreading the fact this would be the last time he’s kissed you in four months, “Please?”

It was now your turn to press your lips against his slightly chapped ones, tilting your head for better access.

Tom wanted this moment to last forever but all good things come to an end. He looked at you with the best puppy eyes he could muster this early in the morning, “It’s just four months, Tom.” You repeated his words from last night before pecking his lips once and yet again holding out his wallet flat against your palm.

Only this time he grabbed it and stuffed it in his jeans’ pocket.

“It’s gonna be four hell of months.”
