Been so conflicted with the fact that Sephiroth and Cloud are being developed to the point where their enemies to lovers subtext is very obvious BUT where is the Cloud x Zack friends to lovers subtext is? Like Crisis Core was SO obvious with their mails, Cloud having such a crush with Zack and then Zack choosing Cloud over his life with Aerith... Like come on.

This is the reason why the remake should let players decide which love route to take.

But I'm gonna play not thinking too much in What I expect to see, just let our bois have their cute life together

i feel like everyone talks about how obsessive sephiroth is about cloud and even the game devs are leaning into it so hard it really feels like much more than simple homoerotic subtext and yes valid sefikura is good HOWEVER-

not enough people talking about how Totally Straight(tm) it is for your buddy to die in your arms which causes a complete psychotic break to the point that your brain copes with the loss by forgetting he existed and absorbing his memories as your own so you dont have to feel the grief and pain ✌️

Don't want to think too much about FFVII remake because I don't want all those headcanons I have with Cloud and Zack to not be canon... I know it's a ship but I have these little but wholesome moments between them in crisis core that let me thinking MAYBE they could share more moments together in the what if universe
