(Title: Vas Inanis)

I wish to peel the lining from

Inside my body and burn it.

To pull each rib from the spine

And chuck them into the distance.

I want to grasp the grooved lump

Of cell that is this brain and

Stomp it out beneath my feet. 

I want to pull apart my own

Heart like strong cheese and

Abandon the strips in a sort

Of muddled mess at these feet. 

Maybe I'd empty the miles of

Tunnel that form my queasy

Stomach from my body.

If possible I'd like to remove

The energy pumping through

Each nerve ending then

Douse it in cold, cold water 

Every strand of me that can

Be recognized must be plucked.

Remove every crinkle, all form,

Until I am this smoothed canvas.

Take apart my pieces,

Scrap anything useless,

And destroy me beyond repair.

I do not ever want to be fixed,

Just completely and finally vacant.
