I just find at least a part of Max fans/fandom absolutely terrifying even on F1blr. The way some of the fans are out for blood and dogpile people who don't like Max or are critical of Max is crazy. Especially when younger fans engage in such behaviour, not the best look.

I’ve missed your blog. Also, British bias is 100% real. The coverage they give to Lewis, Lando and George every race weekend is proportionately more than everyone else on the grid. I find it ridiculous to hear the commentators talking about George every qualifying session when the guy is driving for a lower midfield/backmarker team. And in terms of speed, Pierre puts in consistently godlike lap times but gets little recognition for them. It’s seriously annoying.

A much as I love the statistics aspect of F1 races  I nevertheless believe it's not that easy to compare drivers of all eras, as there are for example more races per season now and divers generally tend to be younger (also due to more developed junior programs)

some records are simply easier to set/break today due to the sport evolving (obviously)

I need to point out that the Water is Life phrasing (in Sebs vid and also on the helmet) comes from Lakota. Its a Lakota based movement - the original is Mni Wiconi (Lakota language) and it emerged in response to Standing Rock. Seb (and/or BWT and/or whoever he is working with on these issues) should give proper credit/tell the story as to where this comes from. As an indigenous woman I LOVE that he is doing this work, but I’m frustrated about the lack of attribution/acknowledgment. Said w love.
