Lets talk about this because I think Taylor’s doing it on purpose. Remember back when the main TS subreddit was complaining about how different the sound was for this album than they were expecting from the aesthetic?

That’s because her MMwM and promo were largely regular Taylor and the award show looks are TaylorSwiftTM.

Just like ☝️ this one is regular Taylor, and ☝️ this one is TaylorSwiftTM in her stage outfit with the pointer she wields just like that golf club during Blank Space.

A persona based on how people see her.

This one ☝️ does the writing, and ☝️ this one does the performing.

And I know this is obvious to us because we’ve been talking about Taylor’s personas forever, but it’s fascinating how much thought and effort she’s putting into reinforcing that message with Midnights.

Enjoy the shapes and colors. How do they make you feel. Use your fucking emotions and brain to engage with art instead of expecting everything you see to perfectly cater to your view of the world.
