I took a gap year due to my mental health but I was able to transfer my credits and I got in for the astrophysics program!

(My light malfunctioned and that’s why the second one is overexposed but I still liked it so I’m gonna post it.)

i will never get over it. any of it. it will forever drag behind me like a very heavy shackle. a reminder i got out every time i take a step, clinging to my ankle. to my heart.

seeing people my age succeed in ways I didn’t makes me wanna die. A guy I took dance lessons with in middle school just got hired by a dance company in NYU. He moved from my home country to NYU. And i. Had every opportunity to succeed but succumbed to mental illness, is taking a gap year from college, estranged from my family after I got r*ped by my first boyfriend, struggling to make ends meet.

I had access to so many opportunities. My parents paid for every single extracurricular class I wanted to join but I never stuck to any of them. I went to a prestigious private school but never succeeded academically and dropped out during my last year of high school after failing to meet the minimum average grade in 2020. I never treated my adhd or my depression or any of my Ed’s. I feel like such a failure.
