mental: narcissistic personality disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, anorexia, paranoia, chronic anger.Â
occupation: accountant.
residence: provo, utah.
nationality: american.
faceclaim: milo ventimiglia.
zodiac: scorpio.
voice: strong utahn accent. rich, deep voice often softly spoken though when voice is raised it can be very intimidating. often found adapting tone of voice to fit circumstance.
personality traits: impatient, blunt, controlling, reserved, dishonest, anxious, hard-working, paranoid, intense, no-nonsense, intelligent, can be charming, unreliable, aloof, perceptive, harsh, angry, can become frantic, stubborn, organized, neat, venomous, unsympathetic.
hobbies: none, arthur lives to work. prior to danny, he enjoyed cycling but gave it up to focus on work.
style: arthur mostly wears dark/neutral colours, button-up shirts and smart casual t-shirts often alongside smart pants and shoes. heâs very focused on his appearance being clean, neat and everything perfectly in place. he typically smells of soap, cigarette smoke and wears a pungent, somewhat suffocating and musky perfume.
backstory: arthur has lived in utah his whole life, having met fia ( his wife ) at twenty three when heâd entered her familyâs flower shop to buy a bunch for a co-worker.  heâd charmed her and she fell in love with him and at twenty five, he had a newborn son - danny. arthurâs childhood was full of violence.  his father was a boxer, though he often got into trouble with drugs and fights. his mother passed away when he was five, leaving him to fend for himself when his dad was unavailable, in hospital or in and out of prison. Â
his aunt helped out where she could, though she had a short temper and would verbally tear into him when she was angry because she could never bring herself to be violent with him. she often expressed her disappointment in him, however. wanted him to not be like his father, to do something valuable with his life. thus, he pursued accounting. the job paid well enough, and he became respected and very good at it. but it was never enough. his aunt would comment on his imperfections often. she would watch him eat and comment on how and what he ate. would remark on his diet. it led to him becoming obsessive over his appearance and eating. at seventeen, he moved out and into his own, private, cheap accommodation. Â
when he met fia, his life changed dramatically. she meant the world to him, but fia was stunning and arthur had to face other men commenting on her, flirting with her and attempting to woo her. he became controlling, hated knowing his wife would be at work without him, where he couldnât see what was happening. he couldnât face the thought of being abandoned and became paranoid. he would grow frantic when he believed heâd seen her with someone - even if it was a stranger sheâd been stood next to on the bus. arthur could be violent with fia, not enough to cause significant damage but any amount was horrific, and danny witnessed it occasionally. he felt ashamed and guilty for his actions and would blame her. that if she didnât stray then he wouldnât have to behave the way he was.
it led to him forcing fia to give up her job at her family business and stay home as a housewife with danny while arthur worked. it meant he upped his hours, worked into the night and was barely around in order to make enough money for his own family to survive, now that fia wasnât earning. he would see the way danny behaved around fia and would get jealous. he hated that his son treated her better than he did. hated that his wife loved their son more than him. Â
he was critical of danny, from an early age. nothing he did was good enough. he was ashamed that he couldnât be the father danny needed, that he at the time was following his own fatherâs footsteps. danny was excelling, he was handsome and intelligent and extremely well-developed. mature beyond his years, many would say. but he was mollycoddled by fia and arthur didnât like that. didnât like that he was a motherâs boy. paranoid-delusions led him to believe danny and fia were seeking to escape him, that they were planning things when he wasnât there.
arthur would split them up, locking danny in his room for hours if not days at a time to create a rift between him and fia. but it didnât work. fia would slip him food under the door and would read to him until arthur returned. tension would continue to grow between arthur and danny after that. danny went out of his way to protect his mother from arthur. he would put himself between them, would argue back. if arthur made danny feel vulnerable, you could bet danny would be plotting something for days as payback. whether it be bugs in the bed or dog shit in his shoes.
when fia passed away, arthur was left alone with danny who resented him intensely at that point. they lived in the same house but they didnât talk. danny worked hard to earn, to pay his keep and save for his own place. theyâd fight every so often, spitting venom though arthur never once laid a hand on danny. eventually, he reached a point of anger that he kicked danny out. disowned him and told him never to come back. he never saw his son again, after that, and would go on to bury his head in his work.

voice: soft, warm and low toned voice with a strong italian edge to her accent, though sheâs picked up the utahn accent in specific words. as she ages, it becomes more influenced by american, well-spoken mostly because arthur insisted on it. dannyâs accent was heavily influenced by his motherâs, though has adapted overtime. never raised her voice and thus was always remembered as calming.
personality traits: patient, soft, passive, shy, reserved, anxious, caring, devoted, intense, overwhelming sometimes, manipulable, quiet, reliable, trustworthy, perceptive, easily confused, respectable, loving, no malice, unwillingly neat, warm, genuine, sympathetic.
hobbies: enjoyed chess, liked reading and was drawn to photography - an interest she would come to share with danny who enjoyed taking photos of her. she also took to attempting to grow her own strawberries.
style: fia typically would wear pullover long-sleeved sweatshirts or tops, sometimes accompanied by a cardigan. thin materials in typically more neutral colours such as navy, grey, brown etc though when arthur wasnât around she tended to stray towards brighter colours like greens, blues and purples. fia would come to forget her favourite colour, dressing more in-tune with her gradually declining mood as the years passed. she tended to wear either smart-casual trousers or comfortable shorts, though if she left the house with arthur itâd be in a beautiful dress heâd bought her. any perfumes she had were bought by arthur and thus tended to smell too bitter or sharp, though danny remembers certain scents such as the lasting smell of flowers on her hands after working at the florist or the sweet, pleasant rose scent she tended to keep hidden.
backstory: born in italy, fia moved to america with her parents to connect with family when she was seven. her mother worked hard to invest in a small, cramped building which would eventually become âprovo flowers,â a pretty corner flower store which fia helped her mother run. fia was determined to carve a path for herself early and thus took on various jobs on top of the florist, such as being a cashier at multiple stores, pet sitting and even baby sitting when she could.
at nineteen, she met arthur johnson ( her husband ) whoâd visited provo flowers in order to buy a bunch of flowers for his co-worker. fia was very quickly charmed by him, a young, smart man with a secure job was the end goal for many women at the time, and upon turning twenty-one, fia was giving birth to a newborn son - danny.
fia didnât have an easy childhood, but her parents strived to give her the best that they could. she was always fed well and received the best education they could afford after a few years of home-schooling. fia was very close with her father, whoâd drilled it into her mind that it was important she married and continued the family legacy, as she was an only child. despite yearning to be more than a housewife, the odds fought her at every turn. fia enjoyed the freedom her family allowed her to have as a child, though feelings of neglect did sometimes stray into her mind when days would pass and her family didnât stress about hygiene, until she was bullied at school for it.
little effort was made to engage with her, to entertain her younger self and while, after some crossing paths with the law, her parents came to step up on their care of their daughter, fia couldnât help the fleeting feelings of loneliness and emptiness. she promised herself that if she had a child, they would never feel how she had. wholly unaware that by doing so, she was securing the fate of a smothered and spoiled child who would be endlessly criticized for unintentionally stealing her attention. other than brief periods of neglect due to lack of knowledge, experience and generally busy lives, fia strived. she was bright at school, earning good grades and gaining positive attention from teachers, while bullies who received lower grades would ambush her in the girls bathroom to make her suffer for her intelligence.
the move to america was a lot, entirely different cultures, a new language and a completely different lifestyle. it was difficult to adjust at first, but having escaped her old bullies fia swiftly found herself thriving at school. when her mother opened provo flowers, she decided to help out among her other jobs.
originally, her time spent with arthur was dream-like. she adored being with him, around him. found him unbelievably charismatic and believed he was the one for her. however, it wasnât long before arthur unveiled some intense insecurities. he hated the way other men looked at her, hated her having friends ( particularly male friends ) outside of him. found it impossible not to say anything, to not get angry when she didnât shun the idea or make an effort to avoid their gazes. he became paranoid and would convince himself of stories and information that never happened or where perceived incorrectly. after danny was born, arthur started to become violent with fia, never once laying a hand on his son but fia would often be shaken to her core - despite there rarely ever being physical damage.
eventually, the paranoia became too much and arthur forced fia to give up her job at her family business and stay home as a housewife with danny, while arthur worked. naturally, her family saw no problem because as far as they were concerned their daughter had married a successful, financially-secure man and had a beautiful child with him. what happened behind closed doors, the control being taken from her, was never noticed or talked about.
feeling distant from her husband, fia worked hard to be close to danny, ensuring he never felt lonely, bored or neglected in any way which led to some intense smothering and molly-coddling. arthur envied their relationship and was immensely critical of danny, from an early age. fia worked to soothe the creases caused by arthurâs criticism, praising and complimenting her son as often as she could. it wasnât enough to combat her husbandâs envy, however, as he began splitting them up and locking danny in his room for hours if not days at a time. but fia would slip in food under the door and would read to and talk with him until arthur came back from work.
fia watched helplessly as tension grew between her son and husband. danny would go out of his way to protect fia, wedging himself between them and arguing back - two against one. danny became a menace towards him and fia was concerned about some of his behaviour, though she was never able to soothe him about his father. gradually, as danny got older he began to slip away. the bond was still there but he was busy growing up, carving his own path. they didnât talk as frequently, and when they did fia felt a strong sense of concern and grief for the demons danny seemed to be dealing with. that she was partially to blame.
by the time danny reached around fifteen years old, fia was in the depths of depression. arthur had her put on medication, though it only served to make her tired and send her into dissociative episodes. she would spend a lot of her time in her bed, alone, staring at the ceiling. a state of total detachment. except for when danny was around - he was the only one capable of pulling her out of the fog. but during a set of weeks where danny was more distant than usual and arthur more invasive and verbally venomous, fia found herself without any pathways to choose and turned to overdosing on medication, prompting her devastating suicide.

this timeline is specifically for my danny johnson portrayal â do not steal or use for inspo.
1967 : Â danny johnson was born in provo, utah. Â an only child to his mollycoddling mother, fia johnson, and verbally abusive father, arthur johnson.
1972 : Â it was approximately around this time that danny joined a school and began his education.
1972 - 1983 : Â throughout his time in school, delusions became evident in class. danny gradually exhibited more and more narcissistic traits. Â roughly around 1980 / 81 ( aged 13 - 14 ), danny was getting significantly bullied, prompting him to torment and scare students at his school with phone calls and letters.
1980 : Â at thirteen years old, danny met newbie student wren fletcher. the two became close friends, spending much of their time together.
1982 : Â he turned 15 this year. Â a well-known girl in his class staged a prank where she pretended to like danny. Â he found he had no emotional interest in her, but rather enjoyed the attention her company gained him. Â approx. a month after first spending time together, she revealed the prank in front of lots of her friends. Â danny wasnât troubled by the prank, although he was furious she felt she could try and humiliate him / thought she was better than him. Â this prompted some extreme harassment on dannyâs part, where he managed to find some dirt on her and tormented / blackmailed her via letters and phone calls. Â a few weeks in however, she took her own life. Â police intervened, investigating rumours of harassment and interviewed countless students, including danny. Â they questioned him due to his previous apparent romantic involvement with her but he managed to avoid suspicion and remained undetected and presumed uninvolved.
1982 : Â following this, danny experienced more and more intrusive and disturbing thoughts. Â a terrible power trip. Â the urge and desire to do it again became more and more powerful until one day, towards the end of the year, he decided heâd go through with it. he picked out a random student he had no connections with and stalked them for weeks, learning their routine and habits. Â he didnât want to get caught and he didnât want to mess it up. Â he debated for a few days. Â then, before he knew it, he was running from the body.
1982 : Â a week after the stabbing, danny still hadnât been questioned or named as a suspect. Â heâd gotten away with the kill. Â it was at this point danny noticed his mother was seemingly sick, having been preoccupied for some time. Â the following day, he debated telling his mother about the murder. Â he decided to. Â upon returning home, he found her in bed, not breathing. Â she had taken her life. Â
1982 continued : Â danny's closest friend, wren fletcher, entered his home to check on him when he began pulling away, unaware of his mother's suicide. what she found was evidence linking him to the recent murder. a scuffle occured, leading to danny threatening her with a knife. he told her to keep his secret, to never tell, or that he'd harm her. wren reluctantly did.
1983 - 1984 : Â following his motherâs suicide, times got rough for danny. Â his father didnât want him around, leading to months of verbal / emotional abuse. Â another murder took place. Â during this time, danny worked a variety of jobs in an attempt to scrounge up enough money to survive on, since his father refused to spend money on him. Â these jobs included mowing neighbours lawns, post and newspaper boy, pizza delivery, retail work ( mostly clothing and book / stationary stores ) as well as running rides ( specifically the carousel ) at summer fairs.
1984 : Â danny began driving lessons towards the end of the year, relying mostly on a workmate to teach him because lessons were expensive. Â he took approx. two lessons with a professional instructor before passing his test first time. Â unable to afford a car however, he relied heavily on lifts from colleagues and transport such as buses to get around. Â eventually, danny landed a stable job as a video store clerk in springville. Â this enabled him, along with other jobs spread throughout the week, to afford an old, cheap car. Â nevertheless, it was a step in the right direction.
1984 - 1985 : Â he worked at the video store for slightly over half a year before his father decided to kick him out. Â a workmate offered danny a room at his apartment until he was able to find something for himself, which he accepted. Â roughly two weeks passed when another murder took place. Â someone from the video club heâd gained a membership to a few months back. Â there were no leads. Â over the next month, the three killings ( two in provo and one in springville ) became extremely high profile. Â word was spreading about a serial killer. Â
after that month was up, danny quit his job. Â he took the few belongings he possessed and headed to the town of charleston, leaving wren behind, where his car proceeded to break down - leaving him stranded. Â Â he contacted autohaven wreckers, hopeful that theyâd be able to fix it for him but the price was too high. Â especially when he had yet to find somewhere to stay. Â he was informed by the boss, azarov, that theyâd fix his car up if he paid for it by working. Â this led to danny working at autohaven wreckers for approximately four months. Â Â
over a month and the fixing of his car was paid for but the further three months were due to him learning about the events taking place there. Â effectively, his time at autohaven ups his kill count by a significant amount but he doesnât count these as his own. Â he was there for roughly a month when philip ojomo ( the wraith ) began working there. Â he earned a certificate of participation for his outstanding work. Â Â
after four months, danny decided heâd rather not be there when the cops eventually sniffed things out and left without a word, finding his way to wallsburg, where he decided to apply at the local tabloid for experience, while giving himself access to knowledge of the town and its people / events.
1985 august : Â danny was at wallsburg for exactly three months when the first murder took place. at this point, heâd sold his car and invested in something capable of further travel after deciding settling down wasnât interesting and that he might require a quick get-away. Â the tabloid covered the murder so intently that it took danny by surprise. Â he was requested to interview the victimâs family and help report on the crime. Â it was this specific event that gave him the idea to pose as a journalist in each town he visited. Â gradually building a portfolio of random pieces, none involving the murders, he managed to charm his way in. Â moving to wallsburg prompted the creation of his very first alias. Â gregory pierce.
august - november : Â wallsburgâs kill count was somewhat low due to everything being so new to him, meaning he had to learn and adapt in order to avoid suspicion. Â with a total of four months spent in wallsburg, danny managed to kill three people in two months before police started asking him questions. Â he recognised he shouldâve waited longer, solidifying his place in the community due to it being significantly small. Â he packed up and found his way on to the next town in a zig zag movement.
december 1985 - 1990 : Â during those approx. five years, danny stopped off at a number of towns in and between utah and pennsylvania. Â his pathing was erratic and his portfolio possessed no verification. however, he managed to charm his way into a local tabloid each time. Â five to six months he would wait, silently stalking those within the town and getting a feel for it through his work. Â the killings would begin, the police investigating persistently but to no avail, theyâd get no closer to finding him. Â Â
he visited several small towns, and while the kill counts connected to each individual town werenât massive, the end result altogether was large. Â including wallsburg and provo / springville, heâd killed thirty-five people. Â it was during his time in one of these towns that he decided to take photos of the crime scene. Â since wallsburg he would take a single photo of his first victim to keep on him and found that having incriminating evidence on his person was extremely thrilling. Â eventually, as his grandiose delusions worsened over time, he appeared in more and more photos. Â then, he faded from them.
1986 :  86â˛s halloween, danny was in illinois shopping for groceries when he encountered a shroud/robe on a shelf.  it was the only one left on the shelf and he felt the urge to buy it.  wondered whether he should consider creating an identity to go with the killings.  he took it home with him.  favoured the idea of having something memorable connected to the experience, aside from the fragrances heâd been using for some time thatâd gradually become a necessity to each kill.  he toyed with the idea of wearing it to a kill but decided not to.
1987 : Â it wasnât until the middle of the following year that danny rediscovered the garb thatâd been forgotten about in his apartment. Â he found himself struggling deeply with insecurities upon the release of an article regarding the local murders calling him a coward hiding in the shadows. Â it wasnât so much the insult itself, he couldnât have cared less what those beneath him thought. Â but his freedom was being denied coverage in favour of someone elseâs opinion. Â challenging and questioning his method, like they could do it better. Â
this prompted the white mask's creation, an eerie, long white face with black mesh eyes and a stretched, screaming mouth. the mask accompanied him to his next kill and for the first time in years, he reappeared in the photographs. Â a blank, white mask staring into the camera as he angled it in the air to perfectly capture the brutally stabbed corpse at his feet.
1988 ( towards the end of the year ) : Â from that point onwards, the attention his new identity gained gave him irreplaceable excitement. Â regained him the control he was beginning to lose. Â reinstated fear into town residents. Â however, when attention became overwhelming, danny moved towns again. Â the town crumbled into such chaos his alias was never a suspect and he escaped with little trouble.
end of 1990 - 1992 : Â " philly. â Â danny went quiet for a whole year, allowing his pathing to somewhat settle. Â he spent this time plotting and scheming for his biggest series of killings yet. Â he created a perfect alias, zach dellucci, and decided to go for something bigger than a small town. Â his delusions had reached a peak, which was what primarily prompted the risky choice to work as a journalist in philadelphia. Â with a solid, perfect and well-rehearsed plan in place, danny travelled to philly where he stayed for just over a year ( 1991 - 1992. ) this is where he designs a new outfit and takes on the title "the philly reaper", adorning a new, red mask with devil horns and a unique outfit. Â Â
this was his most memorable trip, consisting of countless, huge headlines. Â heâd stolen his final victimâs camera after developing a liking towards it and captured his last night in philly on it. Â itâd been an interesting one, his victim having been tormented by him for months so that when he moved in for the kill they were on the same page and called for help. Â the responding patrol officer showed up as the philly reaper was photographing himself with the kill and was easily overpowered by post-kill danny who knocked the officer unconscious before proceeding to steal equipment from him ( the drop-leg knife sheath. ) Â
the headlines of that kill were spectacular, with the officerâs account of the scene upon awakening and of the reaper. Â dannyâs overall kill count in philly alone was twenty-three people. Â when he left, he decided to travel a significant distance. Â this led him to florida.
1992 ( may 27th ) : Â jed olsen arrived in roseville florida. Â in the beginning of june, he approached the roseville gazette in search of work. Â he worked there for five months before the killings began. in this time and prior to florida, danny began developing a new ghost face outfit, the dreadful shroud, following two other creations made in philly. he was no longer donning the original mask and shroud.
october : Â the killings began. Â in those five fives months of inactivity, danny wouldâve spent his time lightly people-watching, meaning his victims did not suspect they were being watched. Â it allowed him to develop a list of potentially vulnerable people who he could dip into when the urge arose while enabling him to fixate on one specific victim who he planned to write about until he was ready to kill them. Â five months of solidifying his place as jed olsen and his place within the community of roseville and its people. Â it meant alibis and good reputations and kept him from being suspicious while killing directly under everyoneâs noses. Â he stalked and killed two separate individuals in october, two and a half weeks apart from each other, while also stalking someone more specific.
1993  :  ghost face attended a masked party at the roseville university in a unique outfit unseen before, with a terrible grin stretched across the mask, where he proceeded to brutally murder a student among the crowd who assumed the knife sticking out of his eyeball was part of the mask  -  until he collapsed; dead, of course.
october 1992 - april 1993 : Â during those seven months, including the two kills in october, dannyâs kill count within roseville alone rose to eleven.
14th may 1993 : Â jed olsen released â the ghost face caught on tape â article. Â days before this, he proceeded to take a risk. Â he killed two victims in the same household. Â a nod to ghost faceâs capabilities. Â big headlines. Â he knew releasing the tape could lead to the end of his time in roseville, therefore why not make the most of it. Â this indeed made big news, raising his kill count to thirteen. Â it was his second highest, next to philadelphia. on the 28th of may, the ghost face conducts his final kill.
31st may  :  the weeks following olsenâs article, he became suspicious and the murder investigation started to point in his direction.  danny packed his bags and left roseville, though not before leaving a note at the gazette to say he was not finished.  jed olsen remained at large.
june 7th : Â â ghost face disappears â article. Â the roseville gazetteâs piece suspecting jed olsen as ghost face.
june : Â originally planning to travel to another large city after letting roseville quieten down, danny johnson vanished and was taken by the entity. Â his final kill count overall was seventy-two.

â everyone else is more important than me.
you're deathly afraid of being selfish.  you're also deathly afraid of being forgotten.  all you want is to be somebody's  favourite person,  but that feels like a far off dream.  you try and make yourself interesting so that people stick around you.  it doesn't feel like that's working.  you want to hang out more with your friends,  but it seems like they're always busy or that they have  better friends than you.

think my fav thing about my portrayal is that danny's autistic, which means being a serial killer comes with a whole collection of unique issues / sensory concerns. every fictional killer character ive seen tends to enjoy the gore, getting messy, getting blood on their hands etc. but my danny loathes physical contact, is disgusted by touch and the idea of getting any biological substance on him, hence the full body coverings. it's not just for aesthetic, touch and physical contact dead or alive is a very uncomfortable experience for him and i've just??? never seen that explored before?

I canât talk about it because if I talk about it that means it matters. If it matters that means itâs real, and if itâs real that means itâs going to hurt.
I canât talk about it. (via insanelyâcrazy)
