TW: GORE / BODY HORROR (?)

So my stupid ass somehow managed to post this without tags yesterday so I decided I'd just post this again. Idk how it happened I coulda sworn I wrote tags but oh well.

I wanted to draw what I headcanon these dudes look like under their clothes. I never understood why ppl interpret these entities as just normal humans under there (no offense if you do, tho. You're cool.)

My headcanons for these entities is basically they are these weird creatures that resemble humans (at least in shape) but they don't behave quite like humans, and tend to unsettle people unintentionally despite generally being friendly.

Some of their clothing, like their hoodies and masks, are actually somewhat attached to their bodies. The mask is fused to their face, and they have "veins" lining the inside of their hoodie. Not their other clothes tho.

Also their blood is extremely bitter, as a deterrent to most hostile entities trying to eat them.

I also imagine them as being distantly related to partygoers and having some of their traits, like weak venom or smth.

Fun fact: Dire wolves were actually not wolves, as a study in 2021 shows this large and very common Pleistocene dog was actually part of its own genus, Aenocyon, not Canis. Some of its modern day relatives are notable for more reddish fur and even within Canis the integument can vary quite a bit. That's why I showed the animal here not as wolf like as it is usually depicted.

sometimes i feel like people forget autism is a disability. and that’s not a bad thing! i’m all for disability acceptance, im proud of my disabilities. but i feel like we forget autism can hurt.

it hurts that i have to put more time and energy into socializing than others.

it hurts when i need to move so bad, usually cause im overwhelmed by either my surroundings or emotions, that i thrash and hurt myself.

it hurts that i cant be in places that are too loud or too bright, which on bad days can be as simple as a small, quiet noise or dim lights.

it hurts that i struggle to tell when im hungry, thirsty, tired, etc. so i can’t properly take care of myself. it doesn’t help my insomnia and i get very nauseas and get UTIs.

i 100% believe in autism acceptance. i don’t want a cure. but i also want us the acknowledge that it can hurt. it doesn’t mean my entire life will hurt, but some parts will. and i want a community where we can see both sides, see the hurt, and celebrate it anyway.

I finally (got help) slapping Wordpress into shape and Runaway to the Stars is now releasing as a public webcomic! Thank you so much for your support over the years, and sticking with me while I'm slowly chewing my way through this book. I'm very excited to share this story! It'll be updating every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday thanks to the massive Patreon backlog. Patreon will continue to update as I finish pages, which happens on a sporadic non-schedule.

If you experience bugs with the site report them to me. Some things may occasionally break, as coding problems tend to be a very "whack-a-mole" affair; and I'm still getting used to the interface.
