If you see one Joltik, there are likely many more nearby. They tend to live in groups and dislike being alone.

At one point, a popular Tumblr account claimed to record the day-to-day experiences of a researcher studying wild Tyranitar populations in Nepal. The blog even had names for each of the individual Tyranitar its owner worked with. After several years of popularity, the blog was exposed as a fraud when users realized the university the owner claimed to work for did not actually exist, and actual Tyranitar owners quickly debunked most of their claims about the species' behavior.

A few dedicated Pokemon collectors have managed to capture every variety of Alcremie in existence. One particularly ambitious collector attempted to do the same for every variety of Spinda, despite the urging of their friends and family; they were stopped after a single capture due to Spinda being an endangered species.

With 2023 now behind us, it's worth looking at some of the Pokemon trends from the year.
Fuecoco saw a massive rise in popularity, becoming the most common starter across much of Europe and Latin America. In North America, Sprigatito rose to the top of the rankings for the first time ever. Though it remained low on the rankings, Duraludon saw its largest spike in popularity to date, which many believe is due to its public appearance as a mascot for the underwater Terarium near New York City. Unusually, there was also a rise in cryptid Pokemon sightings - there were more reported sightings in 2023 than any year of the 21st century. It's not clear where these strange sightings are coming from, but it indicates an increased interest in the most obscure parts of the Pokemon world.

While Cyclizar are used around the world as transportation, nowhere are they more common than their native homeland of Spain. Reports of unusual Cyclizar-like Pokemon, nicknamed "Koraidon" and "Miraidon", have almost exclusively come from Spain and adjacent parts of Portugal and Morocco.

i found a shiny pikachu a while back near a local bus stop and couldn’t catch it because i was out of pokeballs. any ideas on how i could find it again?
Unfortunately, you might be out of luck. Shiny sightings spread like wildfire, so especially in the city, by the time you've heard about a wild shiny it's already been caught. My best advice would be to go back to the place where you first saw it, and maybe bring a snack. I've heard shiny Pokemon enjoy Herba Mystica sandwiches, though I don't think there's any official research on it.

I really like tyrogue and its evolutions, but it's definitely not a family that's common where I live so I'm having trouble finding information about them. Any possibility you could tell me what may be involved in raising one and things I should look out for? How social are they? What climate do they typically live in?
Thank you!
Tyrogue are mainly found in mountainous climates. They're very active and need a lot of time outdoors, and are fairly social Pokemon, though they get along best with other fighting-types given their constant need to battle and train with the Pokemon around them. I'd only recommend adopting one if you plan on battling. Tyrogue love battles and will become very bored and upset if they do not get time to practice their battling skills most days.

So i did wanna bring this stuff to your attention cuz i know you like to report on all this,
Apparently there has been sightings of a non-fiery volcarona in the upper Montana / North Dakota region. Alot of people in my town have either completely discredited it, or will pull out their phone to show you evidence.
Supposedly it never flies, rams into whatever it locks eyes with, and doesn't flame up, so you can't see it in the dead of night (supposedly also nocturnal). Idk if this matches up with anything you know of, but I'd love to hear your input!
Have you heard of the cryptid Slither Wing?
That's the closest thing I can think of to what you're describing. It should be noted that Slither Wing is mostly just... a legend. I would guess it's probably something else more mundane - maybe a Volcarona with a strange health condition? - but it does sound awfully close to the most common descriptions of Slither Wing.

I like this blog! 👍
Also, are there other types of gyms that don’t specialize in a specific type?
Definitely! Some gyms have a "theme" that's not tied to a specific type. For instance, the gym in Santa Fe, New Mexico specializes in local Pokemon that were - and are - raised by the indigenous Pueblo peoples. Meanwhile, Geneva hosts a gym that doubles as a research facility where people and Pokemon work together to advance global health.
Other gyms, especially informal gyms, don't even have a theme. While most of these gyms aren't recognized by the IGA, they're common in smaller towns that can't support a full-fledged gym of their own.

Do you know what pokemon would work in the fashion industry, I'm interested in joining.
Furfrou! Furfrou have been on the cutting edge of fashion since the 18th century. The Pokemon's numerous unique hairstyles make it a popular partner for fashion lovers worldwide. Other options include most fairy-types, with Spritzee and Cottonee being great starter Pokemon for those pursuing a career in fashion.

my daughter wants to take on the pokemon league but im not sure what gyms there are in bulgaria since we live here, do you perhaps know of any? dont have alot of close friends and the ones that i do have havent taken on the league before, thanks!
Sofia's psychic-type gym is the heart and soul of the Bulgarian Pokemon League, and it's a great place for beginner trainers to start their journeys. The gym has three gym leaders, each for a different skill level, though the badge is the same for each. The gym is attached to a psychic-type sanctuary where trainers can catch Pokemon like Solrock and Lunatone, not normally native to Bulgaria.
Another good option is the ground-type gym in Plovdiv, drawing on the city's heritage as one of the oldest cities in Europe. It's located in a preserved Roman stadium and is known to be a bit more challenging than Sofia.
A third possibility is the water-type gym in Varna, along the Black Sea coast. It offers picturesque views of Varna Bay while battling, but the gym is also known for allowing trainers to use either double or single battles, one of the only such gyms anywhere in the Balkans.

Hello ! What kind of Pokémon can we find in France, in the cities near Paris ?
Love whay you're doing !
France, including the area around Paris, is home to a number of wild Pokemon! These include distinctively French Pokemon like Mime Jr. and Furfrou; the largest wild pack of Furfrou lives on the grounds the Palace of Versailles, a few kilometers to the west of Paris. Of course, the area is also famous for its fairy-types, and you can spot flocks of Spritzee and roaming Fidough on the streets of Paris and in nearby towns.
The most popular starter in the Ile-de-France region is Torchic, widely considered the national Pokemon of France. Torchic is beloved not only by trainers seeking a Blaziken to use in battle, but also by non-trainers looking for a warm Pokemon to hug during the winter. Fennekin, Chespin, and Turtwig are also popular starters that can be found in the wild around the area.
One of the rarer sights in the area is Smeargle; France is one of the only countries where Smeargle can be found in the wild. They love to use their tail to paint, and Smeargle-made art is a popular souvenir for tourists. The rarest sight of all is Virizion, which has been seen around Paris though never in the city itself.

The world's largest Orthworm, at least according to legend, was spotted in southern Algeria in the 1980s. Witnesses later described it as nearly the height of a skyscraper, but after a few sightings in the remote region, this behemoth Orthworm was never seen again.

I’m not really sure if this counts as a question, but what kinds of flying and bug-types do you recon would live in Aotearoa (New Zealand)??? I know it’s a bit of a joke that we just have a bunch of flightless birds, but our ecosystem is mostly comprised of very very very gorgeous birds and massive bugs and I can think of a few Pokémon off the top of my head that could work (ie; Kricketune, Pelliper etc)
Kricketune and Pelipper can definitely be found in Aotearoa! Many other bug-types call the country home, including Cutiefly, Sewaddle, and Venipede. And while Aotearoa is known for its flightless Doduo, it's also home to large populations of Swablu, Wattrel, and Oricorio. New Zealand has the highest population of Kilowattrel trainers per capita in the world.

hey, me and my sylveon are currently in the sunshine coast, i know there is a gym in brisbane with dragon types that would be easy, but im wondering about the gyms here in case we can take them on.
Sunshine Coast has a large three-type gym, rotating between water, fire, and grass throughout the year. It's generally regarded as a fairly easy gym where tourists can pick up a badge, so it's not the best place for trainers at the highest skill level, but it's a fun experience nonetheless.

Very curious which pokemon you think would be well suited for someone disabled to train! Are there any that would be happy to help you with tasks but aren't too hard to take care of?
That's a big question! It's going to depend a lot on both the disability in question as well as the personality and preferences of the disabled person themselves. Visually impaired trainers may benefit from a guide Pokemon, often dog Pokemon like Growlithe or Fidough, that are trained to lead people around. Trainers with hearing impairments often adopt psychic-types such as Alakazam and Gardevoir, who can be effectively trained in the use of sign language in addition to their telepathic powers.
Fairy-types and grass-types are also common among disabled trainers, as their soothing powers can be a massive help for people with chronic pain and can also help to calm those experiencing panic attacks. Studies have shown that the presence of Pokemon like Chikorita and Bellossom tend to have a therapeutic effect for people nearby.
I've seen disabled trainers with just about every Pokemon imaginable, though. For instance, for ADHD trainers who struggle with setting routines, just having a Pokemon there to remind you when they want to be fed or go on a walk can provide some critical structure. The exact species doesn't particularly matter.

Important to add that while ownership may not be illegal most states and countries do have laws regulating the capture of legendaries (mainly intended to prevent poaching). However South Dakota law would not apply here as you obtained Articuno in Canada, and Canadian laws - which are if anything stricter than most American ones - make a clear exception for cases of legendaries voluntarily bonding with individuals. Please do not actively try to seek out a legendary solely to capture them, it is not only illegal but incredibly dangerous for both you and them.
I had won tournament with an all expenses paid free trip to Canada as the prize, and during my time there I stumbled upon a Pokémon Hunter attacking an Articuno, after chasing him off I tended to the Articuno’s wounds and now she (I asked her her gender) won’t leave me alone (I think she wants me to catch her) how do I get a legal permit to own a Legendary Pokémon? I have been a trainer for almost a decade and I live in a rural area of South Dakota.
Ownership of legendary Pokemon is so rare that as far as I'm aware, you don't need a permit, at least in many parts of the United States. South Dakota, as far as I can tell, has no laws regulating legendary ownership. This is mostly because the only people who own legendaries tend to be researchers; it's almost unheard of for a regular trainer to catch a legendary. I would notify the Canadian government - Articuno is an endangered species, and while they'll likely be willing to let you keep her once it's proven you've formed a bond, it would be a massive help to the country's Articuno tracking efforts.
