Okay so my birthday is on the 21st of this month and I usually love gifts but I don't give a fuck about that this year.
All I want is for people to donate what they can to this disabled elderly Black woman named Beverly. She has Multiple Sclerosis and is unable to move or use her hands or legs. Her wheelchair is her only way she can lift herself or turn over, otherwise it hurts her to stay in one position because then she will get very painful bedsores.
Beverly needs a new custom wheelchair (which she operates with her head) and ceiling lift, and her GoFundMe is close to her target. She's at $26,317, and her goal is $34,575. She just needs $8,259 to be able to have the freedom to move and help manage her disability.
Please please PLEASE donate what you can to her. She reminds me a lot of my mom whom I don't speak with anymore, and maybe that's a selfish reason, but her situation breaks my fucking heart and makes me want to cry hard. I want and need to help Beverly, and I need your help.
Please do Beverly a kindness and donate what you can to her. Let that be my birthday gift. I just want her to reach her goal and have that dignity and ability to move and avoid bedsores and immobility.
We can help Beverly get to where she needs and have her needs met. Every dollar, even a single solitary dollar, helps so much.
Here is the link to her GoFundMe, and a Twitter thread about it that brought it to my attention in the first place, as well as her TikTok for more information.
