I do need to point out that in the initial set they are both confronting a dangerous person and in the above image they are about to complete a banking transaction -- so I was thinking a bit more this:

I also must admit that I can't deal with the 7x10 hair even though I do think Mickey is smoking in that episode in all other ways. But because I'm a Canadian xennial (and maybe a bit because Noel is from Vancouver) I can't look at him without thinking of Relic. And no one is going to know what that means, but it doesn't change the fact that... he looks a little bit like Relic.

Regarding your tags on peak Gallavich hotness -- I'd like to also submit 7x11 as a strong contender.

As someone who was always bothered by that Ian line in season 11, I appreciate you connecting those dots.

Subtle (?) way Ian is absolutely unhinged about Mickey n.30002

Mickey says he's going to kill Frank cause he saw them together,Ian is not upset about him wanting to kill his father,but because he would end up in prison for doing so

Somehow this concept gets picked back in season 11 of all places (probably unintentionally) when that woman talks about Terry killing her father cause he opposed their marriage

"So why didn't you marry him after that?"

"...cause he killed my father?"

"Oh.."

Gotta love that messy moral compass, you know in an alternate universe Mickey killed Frank and Ian forgave him like... A week later.

What is a moment in Shameless that makes you crack up every single time you even think about it, even if it's not really a big joke moment? I'll start.

When JimmySteve shows back up for the third? time and they're on the street outside of Patsy's having an argument and then Fiona answers the phone and it's Mickey and JimmySteve gets so excited? 'Mickey Milkovich?! Tell him i said hi!' like on the one hand what the fuck JimmySteve? read the room you piece of shit. But on the other hand it is so unexpected and the delivery is so pure, it gets me every time.

This past week I got five new AO3 comments despite not having posted anything in two years. Two years that have been, on a personal level, rather unpleasant. But occasionally sort of incredible. Anyway.

I don't really think this can be a coincidence, but I also can't really figure out the how or why, but in case one of those people wanders over here, I did want to say -- that was awesome. You guys are the best fic readers imaginable. And thank you.

Hey guys!

This blog is still growing and the flow of asks is pretty constant. Despite having several mods, we still can't keep up, so we need your cooperation on one issue we're facing :)

Lately, we've been getting a lot of asks that we consider "unnecessary" since there are specific tags on ao3 or even on our blog that you can look through to find the fics you need.

We just can't keep answering questions like:

I have read everything in *** tag. Do you know more? (Probably no.)

Do you have any fluff/sports AUs/stories with Svetlana in it? (Yes, we do. And so do these specific ao3 tags. Are you searching for a sports AU fic that is not tagged as a sports AU? Now that's a different question.)

It's just counterproductive for us to keep acting as the ao3 search engine double.

We'll still gladly point you in the right direction or if you happen to search for a specific scenario that you're not sure how to start searching for! All the lost fics, asks for specific moods and tropes, asks about the fandom events - all welcome!

So from now on, we don't want to keep reccing the whole tags and answering asks that could be solved with a simple search. We want to find lost fics and curate lists for your hard to find or very specific ask, not regurgitate the fics that can easily be found with a quick Ao3 search.

We’re sorry if one of the asks we don’t answer is one you have sent in in the past, but in order to best use the time we have to share our love of fics with you all, we need to free up inbox (and brain) space for other asks.

Well, I am delighted that alone makes you happy! It has never been abandoned, no matter how much it might look like it is... Just a chapter that is a beast and a whole lot of family drama, mixed with some issues with chronic pain. That are steadily abating.

New stuff was written this week... but we will see what that ACTUALLY means. Has anyone within the sound of these words read Wonder Boys? I mean, it's not Wonder Boys. But I do relate to that. Frequently.

Summary:

A good day, a good week, even several good months don’t mean shit when there is one single, tiny, random thing that catches you off guard and throws you for a loop. Doesn’t matter how good you did or how far you have come. It sneaks up on you and fucks you over.

“Don’t want ya to do this shit on your own, Ian.” Mickey says sincerely. And Ian exhales a shaky breath, gives him a small smile and scoots closer. He takes Mickey’s left hand and brings it to his chapped lips and kisses each digit slowly, caressing the rough skin with his mouth, loving the feel of cool metal when he reaches Mickey’s ring finger.

Absolutely no pressure, but I was wondering if you’re planning to finish Bound? Not trying to make you feel guilty but I loved the one-shot but haven’t read since you started expanding it. As a rule, I like to wait until WIPs are finished so I don’t drive myself crazy, but if this is as far as it goes, I will gratefully read what I can get.

Absolutely no pressure felt -- or, like, a pressure I prefer. A pressure I find helpful. Because it's nice to hear that people are still... interested.

So, I fully get where you are coming from. I have tried that path myself. I have also violated that choice and lived to regret it. Know thyself. Do what makes you sane.

That said, I have some not-great news, which is that I am, despite all evidence to the contrary, still working on it. More than makes sense. More than I can possibly make anyone understand. It just sits there and I beg it to GO somewhere and it's just... like... "Why?"

Because I would like you to have an ending. And while someone did kindly tell me that it currently drops at a place that is not the absolute worst place to leave off, it's still not finished. I know it. The fic knows it. And yet. Here we are.

I'm in a ranty mood today so I'll add that in responding to this I realized that the last things that actually got written in the chapter are largely about how haaaaard something is and why the hell is it so damn hard?

Huh. I might be projecting. Just a tad.
