I AM BACK!
I was facing with many mental issues for the past years. Now, I am in the path of healing.
I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder type 1 and currently taking medication every day. I have to thank Jiang Yue Lou because he is the reason I understand about bipolar and seek treatment.
There is still few diagnostic test left for me as my psychiatrist and psychologist suspects that I have ADHD and/or ASD.
These days I have been travelling a lot and having a blast (controlled) manic episodes.

posting on twitter feels like throwing something you worked on for hours, days, weeks into a river, hoping it'll get swept out to sea for many people to experience, only for it to immediately crash into some rocks and explode. its gone now. if no one sees it in the 0.00003 seconds it exists on their timelines, no one ever will
posting on tumblr is like carefully placing your work in the middle of a dark abandoned factory, and slowly a bunch of weird little goblins manifest from the shadows and touch your work all over with their little raccoon hands and share it with each other. sometimes they find your thing again many years later and excitedly share it again
the weird goblins are much more enjoyable

I started watching Guardian because of you and I’m only halfway through and I am losing my mind over it. Thanks for that. Any chance you might know where to read the novel? ‘Cause I know the show doesn’t end with those two dudes marrying each other and detectiving their way through the city.
lmaoo yeah, the show def doesn’t end like that, although there’s a few really good fis on AO3 that do 😊
the novel was translated in chunks but @merelhyn was kind enough to pile them all together into an epub for easier access and you can find that post right here

I rarely update these 2 weeks because I’ve been busy redesigning my house. My roommates move out so I have the whole house of 3 bedrooms for myself. Hence, I turn one of the room as my mini library/office space.

My favourite spot: my reading nook. Its so cozy!

SHL Fanvid Recs
I guess I should consolidate all my twitter recs @manic_intent into a single post. I’ll start by saying – wow. CN fandom’s video editing skills are godly. Some of the videos edit characters into scenes that they aren’t in, or seamlessly edit the voice over… it’s incredible. I rec browsing bilibili if you can, just to look at the tons of content in there, but here are some of my faves.
Bonus: if you scroll down into the comments of some of these vids, you’d see Wolong Nuts commenting on them too, hahaha.
Spoilers: Most of the WenZhou vids will contain spoilers.

Bizarre things that happened because of everyone in China having WenZhou brainrot: (WEDDING EDITION)
1. Wu Yuheng, Zhang Zhehan's company junior and the "brother-in-law" from the infamous Chuang incident that led to non-fans thinking that Gong Jun was married to someone name "Zhang-Laoshi", was interviewed during an event.
Q: "Gong Jun and Zhang Zhehan helped garner votes for you in Chuang. After seeing this exhibit today, did you think of asking them to come visit as well?"
Wu Yuheng: "They cheered me on, so I want to cheer them on as well! I think they'll really like this exhibit too, because it's very beautiful and romantic inside,"
Tumblr media
Fans, who couldn't believe they were hearing this shit: "THEY'LL LIKE IT BECAUSE IT'S ROMANTIC??? WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY?!!"
Alas, Wu Yuheng was not inclined to explain himself and moved on smoothly from the topic.
(There's a rumor that one of the Chuang contestants was caught breaking the "NO PHONES" rule just to watch WOH, and people suspect it's him because then it would at least explain the shipper brainrot)
2. Mobs of fans travelled to Suzhou for the concert to put up flower walls and other extravagant fan supports for Gong Jun and Zhang Zhehan. It got to the point that random citizens of Suzhou who don't watch WOH, believed that a very popular LGBT couple was hosting their extravagant period-themed wedding in their city. The fact that hotels were, for some reason, giving out WenZhou posters to guests did not help curb this bizarre misunderstanding.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Confused WOH fans took to weibo to share their encounters of having WenZhou posters given to them while checking in their hotels, and run-ins with random aunties and uncles with the general sentiment from them being "How nice that this couple chose Suzhou for their wedding! It really brought a lot of young tourists to the city!!"
It was apparent that in this situation, no one was truly in the same wavelength, with WOH fans coming to Suzhou for a concert and random Suzhou citizens believing there was a wedding of the century going on, and the confusion on both sides was, for once, equal.
3. Meanwhile, in Shanghai, someone commissioned a drone display for Gong Jun, Zhang Zhehan and WenZhou, drawing in an enormous crowd of fans and non-fans alike. In the midst of the audience, however, there were 2 men who had a completely different idea of what the drone display was supposed to be for.
Tumblr media
Their conversation, which was thankfully immortalized in a video:
"Zhou Zishu...Wen Kexing...these are celebrities? I thought this was for a marriage proposal?"
"Ah! These two are men?"
"Ohh two men,"
*WOH quotes flash in the sky*
"Ah? What does this mean? I haven't heard of this poem? I didn't learn this in highschool?"
"Aren't there any footnotes???"
*Gong Jun and Zhang Zhehan's names appear*
"It's for these two men! Gong Jun.....and.....Zhang Zhehan......"
"Zhang Zhehan is a guy's name right?"
"Ohh so they're officially announcing??"
While innocent non-fans were brazenly discussing this so-called marriage, the actual fans looked on in both horror and fascination, and were left wondering whether they were living in an alternate timeline. They might be right.
4. And the final cherry on top of this very chaotic cake, was Mango Entertainment covering the post-concert banquet and posting this on their official weibo account:
Tumblr media
Zhang Zhehan Gong Jun, Shan He Ling celebratory banquet. Whispering into each other's ear, singing the song "Love to Fight If You Want to Win"
Fans: "....what's with this suspicious wording?? Why does this sound like an actual wedding banquet???!!"
The concert being a wedding started out as a dumb joke from the fans and cast members themselves (notably Huang Youming) but I doubt anybody actually expected this level of chaos and clownery. Chen Zihan's trending wedding edit, Gong Jun's infamous Chuang incident, and Huang Youming's wedding table jokes....all of it led to this final moment of sheer confusion and I feel incredibly lucky to have witnessed the madness go down. Hail the WOH fandom experience.

Hi! I got a prompt! You know the cliche trope of a married couple fighting and the wife is like “I’m going back to my parents’ house!” Well, maybe wenzhou had a petty fight, and wkx actually uses that line, but he obv has no parents left, so he ran away to yby’s place. Now zzs not only has to coax his husband home, he also has to do it in front of yby, who’s like half freaking tired of the drama, and half get weirdly into it and yakes wkx’s side, making the task even more difficult. Can be modern AU or post canon, up to you 🤣🤣
Hi Nani, sorry this is a bit late hehe 🥰
I’m opting for modern!au for this coz I want to try something new haha
The tap on his car window startles him out of his daze and he winds down just in time to have Ah Xiang poking her head into the warm interior, bringing with her a rush of cool spring morning air.
“You fucked up really bad this time, huh?”
“Language,” Zishu chides on instinct but doesn’t pursue the matter when their foster daughter/little sister rolls her eyes and sighs.
“Are you going in or not? If you are, you should do it later coz the Old Man is still in there. If you’re not, then can I bum a ride with you to school?”
“Did you miss the bus again?” Zishu scoffs, reaching over to the passenger seat and passing over three packed lunches that were definitely bought; one for Ah Xiang, one for Chengling who was staying at his godfather Shen Shen’s for the week (thank the gods), and one for Cao Weining who seems to have ingratiated his way into their little family.
She takes it wordlessly and packs it into her bag. Sticking her tongue out at him, she shoulders the straps of her school bag, scuffing her shoe on the ground. Watching her, Zishu kills the engine of the car and lifts up the bouquet of peonies he’d bought last night and drove up and down the block until he decided against coming over to the Ye household at that hour.
“How mad?”
“I’d say you’ll probably have to grovel.”
Zishu grins, a bubble of amusement enveloping his chest with warmth. Exiting the car, he reaches over to pat her on her head and arranges the collar of her school uniform. “I can do that.”
She frowns. “Grovel and beg and kiss his ass and swear you won’t make him angry anymore?”
“Go to school, kid, and text me if you guys need a ride home today. I’ll bring you guys for some ice-cream,” Zishu says, nudging her along. She huffs, pausing mid turn to suddenly throw her arms around him and hugging tightly.
“I don’t like it when you guys fight.”
“I know. I don’t like it when we fight either.”
Mr Rong is the one who opens the door with a smile. “They’re at the patio,” He whispers. Gathering his coat and his briefcase, he winks conspiratorially as he leaves for work. “Good luck, Zishu!”
“Thanks,” He replies with a confidence he doesn’t quite feel.
Senior Ye and Mr Rong aren’t that much older than Zishu but somehow they’ve had a whole history between them that nonetheless had culminated in a shotgun wedding in Saipan five years ago that only Zishu, Lao Wen and Rong Xuan, Mr Rong’s only son from a previous marriage, were invited to. Senior Ye had a sharp tongue and a frosty wit, while Mr Rong was warm and personable. They’re the true definition of the saying ‘opposite attracts’.
Whilst Senior Ye, the closest thing Zishu had to an older brother in this world, hadn’t made any secrets of his disapproval of his and Lao Wen’s relationship, in recent years the man seems to have mellowed out immensely. Now, his is the house Lao Wen runs to when they have a fight.
They’re at the patio as Mr Rong had said, sitting at the table with the breakfast things all spread out mid meal. His Lao Wen looks radiant in the sunlight, dressed in a soft jumper that was probably Zishu’s at one point, resolutely not looking over when he approaches. Senior Ye gives him a once over and sighs, put-upon, at the sight of the flowers.
Clearing his throat, he ignores the man and goes to a crouch in front of Lao Wen, setting the bouquet on the table beside them. Trying for a smile, Zishu quietly says, “Hey.”
Cool dark eyes flicker to him and narrow dangerously. Before his husband can say anything, Senior Ye takes a quick jibe in. “Hey. That’s all you can do? Hey?”
“Senior Ye...”
“It’s okay,” Lao Wen says, tilting his head towards Senior Ye with a placating smile. “Maybe we could have a minute?”
“Ugh, fine.” He rolls his eyes, voice dripping with utter disdain as he stalks back into homely interior of his home. “I’m keeping an eye on you two!”
“I thought he didn’t like you very much,” Zishu cannot help but to say.
At this, Lao Wen merely shrugs and tucks his hands under his sleeves. “Have you had breakfast?” He asks, hands already moving to butter the bread and spread the jam. It settles something unnerved in Zishu to see him do this for him and it is enough to unlatch the words, “I am sorry, Lao Wen. Please come home.”
The hand on the butter knife pauses mid stroke. “I...” Lao Wen licks his lips. Setting the knife down with a clatter, Lao Wen reaches out for his hand. They tangle their fingers together, sharing a soft, slow smile.
“I’m sorry too. I couldn’t sleep last night without you.”
Zishu feels the words unspool his heart. He lifts Lao Wen’s hand to his lips, pressing kisses to the ridges and dips of his knuckles. “What were we fighting about again?” He asks around a irrepressible smile.
“Can’t remember. Probably something stupid,” Lao Wen laughs, curling into him and drawing him into a kiss. “I love you. Let’s go home.”
“I love you, too. Let’s go home.”
“How long did it take this time?”
Ye Baiyi rolls his eyes, throwing the ingredients into the bowl before he leans back into the warmth and solid strength of his husband, tilting his head back to kiss at a jaw.
“Not long. I gave them the leftovers from last night to take home for lunch after I made them sit through a lecture. That brat said he wants to cook dinner for us this weekend.”
His husband chuckles, the sound reverberating right to his bones. “You’re such a softie.”
“Mm.”

How do you stay motivated?
Motivation is a fickle bitch. Don’t expect motivation. You don’t stay motivated; you work through the periods of exhaustion and disinterest with relentless discipline and enjoy the moments of motivation when they come, ride the wave, and then struggle through the depths again.
(Habit, not motivation, should be your best friend. Routine, persistence, patience.)

Planet earth is terrifying I hope I never see a volcano
hey, you should be glad these things are around, they’re a sign that Earth isn’t going to let cosmic radiation cook you alive anytime soon!
Tumblr media
volcanoes erupt when plumes of liquid magma rise up through the more sluggish magma closer to Earth’s crust and melt their way up to the surface, like how the cheese bubbles up through your pot of unattended macaroni! (except WAY less delicious)
Tumblr media
and this magma rises in the first place because it’s been superheated by Earth’s core, which is a constantly-rotating semifluid ball of supercompressed hellfire iron hotter than the surface of the sun!
Tumblr media
the unimaginable pressure down there combined with the physical rotation turns Earth’s heart into a primitive dynamo engine that generates a powerful magnetic field, which acts like an enormous forcefield and prevents most of the cosmic radiation Earth encounters from ever reaching the surface!
Tumblr media
which is good, because it would immediately blast the surface of the Earth clean of life if it ever did make landfall.
so if you ever do encounter an erupting volcano, remember that all things are connected, and stop to give Mama Earth a pat of thanks for protecting you from the cosmic forces of the universe which would very much like to make you extremely dead!
and then run like hell.

Bizarre things that happened because of everyone in China having WenZhou brainrot:
1. The official Youku weibo account posting an original video-edit of Gong Jun and Zhang Zhehan to promote Gong Jun's new firefighter show that Zhang Zhehan isn't even in. They edited together footage from the firefighter show and scenes from a totally unrelated film (the bravest) where ZZH acted as a firefighter. They even tagged both of them in the post.
Tumblr media
People were confused. Youku took it down after three minutes. People were even more confused. Youku offered no other explanation.
2. Sichuan News tagging Zhang Zhehan on their weibo post, inviting him to "visit Gong Jun's hometown" and JiangXi News also tagging Gong Jun, inviting him to "visit Zhang Zhehan's hometown".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This has never happened before and people are perplexed. Again, no further explanation was provided.
3. For Gong Jun's firefighter show, his hometown Sichuan's Fireman Unit tagged him on their official weibo post to help promote it. Nothing strange about that, no, the weird thing is Zhang Zhehan's hometown JiangXi's Fireman Unit also promoted the show on their official weibo and tagged Gong Jun. Again, this show has nothing to do with Zhang Zhehan at all.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
People are still wondering what the fuck is going on but have mostly given up on getting any kind of explanation.
4. Official public accounts for their respective hometowns Sichuan and JiangXi continue to roleplay as in-laws on weibo, to everyone's utter bewilderment. From tagging each other on random official posts to outright inviting the other hometown's "son" over. In Gong Jun's first Bilibili video, Sichuan Satellite TV posted a comment inviting Zhang-Laoshi over to Sichuan to play. And this roleplay extends to various versions of these official hometown accounts, from tourism accounts to weather report accounts.
Tumblr media
And this is still going on, well after the concert and official promotions for WOH have come to an end. In fact, it might have gotten worse because instead of in-laws they're now acting like a married couple. For 5.20 (Chinese Valentines Day) the two hometowns collaborated to give away special editions of their newspapers, tagging and commenting on each other's post, affectionately calling the other 西西 and 川川. By this point, people are just rolling with it as if these public accounts calling each other pet names on social media is perfectly normal and not at all completely beffudling to those who don't know about WOH.
5. OK! Magazine doing the equivalent of a desperate fangirl piecing together random screenshots of two characters to make content for her rarepair ship. They took Gong Jun and Zhang Zhehan's unrelated solo photoshoots and smushed them together, filling the Haidian Huangzhuang Station.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
All I can say is...I have never had a fandom experience like this and I don't think I've ever seen such widespread support and adoration like this for a CP, and it's especially satisfying knowing how this casting was mocked and ridiculed throughout the whole production period because people claimed chemistry between the leads would be impossible 😂 Now people are clamoring just to see them in the same shot.
