Unpopular opinion: I don't feel sorry for Mariana Lawton. I understand not everyone could be brave like Ann at the time to marry a woman, I get that. But she had a choice, she did, and she married a man. Which would be fine if she let Anne move on and that would be the right thing to do, if you truly care for someone. But that woman manipulated Anne for so long, and while Anne wasn't an angel, far from that, she did not deserve to be treated like she was by someone who claimed to love her. Mariana kept hurting her, she shamed her, made fun of her, told her no woman would ever want to marry her and then she kept going back to her bed, taking pleasure because Anne was a good fuck. And then after everything she has done, after all the heartbreak she kept throwing herself at Anne when she visited her for Christmas even though Anne just got married and she knew how important marriage was to Anne. Mariana was wrong, Anne found someone who not only wanted to marry her but someone who geniunely loved her and she was furious, not because she was in the wrong, no, but because she was afraid Anne would finally fall for someone else and would break their bond and she would lose her fucktoy. There's no doubt they loved each other at some point, but it has clearly been toxic for a very long time. Mariana was toxic, she had a strong grip on Anne for years, so no I don't feel sorry one bit for her, she got exactly what she deserved. And I don't care how hot Anne and are Mariana together, I'm not going to enjoy watching it because Anne is going to feel like shit (again). This is not even about cheating or Ann and Ann(e)s, Mariana was just horrible.
