John 3:16 was written to Israel [and to the gentiles by extension via the procelyte system], BEFORE the cross, in reference to the requirement and need to believe that Jesus is the Christ, the only begotten Son of God, God in the flesh, the savior, as was prophesied through the mouths of God’s prophets since the world began [John 20:31; Acts 3:19-21 KJB]. One first has to believe in the identity [name] of Jesus as the Christ, the Savior, the only begotten Son of God, God in the flesh, before one can believe in His redemptive work on the cross for salvation. One can only get salvation through the shed blood and redemptive work of Jesus Christ, who is God, and no-one else!
NOW after the redemptive cross work of Jesus Christ, one gets salvation by believing that Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God [God the Son], came to earth to take the punishment of your sins on Himself. He was punished on your behalf for your sins, so that you don’t have to be punished for your sins by burning in an eternal hell-fire.
God says in Romans 3:23 KJB that all people are sinners. We all do, say and thinks things which are contrary to God’s perfect and righteous nature and will. Thus, in Romans 3:10 KJB, God has declared you inherently unholy, inherently unrighteous.
God says in Romans 5:12,18 KJB and Romans 6:23 KJB that the punishment for sins is death. This is your sin-death.
You are a sinner, thus you have a sin-debt, and thus God has declared you inherently unholy, inherently unrighteous, and thus guilty and therefore the punishment for your sins is that your earthly body will die [your sin-death] and your soul will go burn in the fires of hell forever in a damned everlasting body which isn’t consumed by fire and experiences torment in all 5 senses [Romans 6:23; 2 Thessalonians 1:8; Isaiah 66:24; Mark 9:44,46,48; Luke 16:19-31; 2 Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 14:10-11; Revelation 20:10; Revelation 19:20; Jude 1:6; Jude 1:13; Matthew 8:12; Matthew 13:42; Luke 16:19-31; James 3:6 KJB].
God says in Leviticus 17:11 KJB that blood must be shed, and a life must be given, to make atonement for sins, for sins to be forgiven.
This is exactly what Jesus Christ did for you. He shed His blood and gave up His life to pay for your sins. He died for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead for your justification, on the 3rd day, according to the Scriptures. God the Father rose Jesus from the dead because He was satisfied with the payment Jesus Christ made on your behalf. Believe this and trust in Jesus Christ and His redemptive work on the cross [above] for salvation, righteousness, justification, sanctification and access into eternal heaven.

In 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV, God commands us to “Rightly Divide” the Bible.
For example, this means we need to divide / distinguish law from grace, Christ’s earthly minister from Christ’s heavenly ministry via the apostle Paul, and between the past, present and future in the Bible.
From the body of Christ’s perspective, God has divided the Bible up into The Past [“Time Past” – Ephesians 2:11-12 KJV], The Present [“But Now” – Ephesians 2:13-19] and The Future [“Ages to Come” – Ephesians 2:7 KJV]
Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Peter, James & Jude were disciples of Jesus Christ [Israel’s Messiah] during His earthly ministry. The Earthly Ministry [Matthew To John] Of Jesus Christ [Israel’s Messiah] was in The Past [Times Past], and was still,
- to and for the Jews, the lost house of Israel [Matthew 10:5-6; Matthew 15:24-26; John 4:22],
- under the law [Matthew 5:17-20; Matthew 19:17; Matthew 22:37-40; Matthew 23:2-3; Luke 10:25-29; John 3:19-21; Romans 15:8; Galatians 4:4 & 5],
- under the gospel of the kingdom [John 20:31; Mark 1:14-15; Matthew 24:14; Matthew 13:10-11; Luke 4:43; Matthew 4:23; Matthew 6:33; Matthew 3:2; Matthew 5:18-20; Matthew 9:35; Matthew 10:7; Luke 8:1; Luke 16:16; Acts 1:3; John 3:3; Acts 1:6-7; Hebrews 4:1-2],
- where salvation came through believing in HIS NAME [identity], that “Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God” [John 20:31; John 3:16] – [Please take note that the shedding of Christ’s blood to make atonement for your soul, Him dying your sin- death on your behalf, His burial and His resurrection for your justification is NOT part of this gospel of the Kingdom. This was before Christ did His redemptive work on the cross],
- for an earthly kingdom [Exodus 19:5,6; Deuteronomy 4:20; Revelation 5:10; Revelation 20:4-6],
- when they shall inherit the earth [Matthew 5:3],
- with earthly promises and blessings.
- according to the covenants God made with Israel [Luke 1:72]
- of peace and safety from their enemies [Luke 1:68-75],
- with Jesus Christ on the throne of David [Matthew 25:31],
- thus to fulfill Old Testament prophecies and to confirm the promises made unto the fathers of Israel. Jesus Christ was the personal fulfillment of God’s will and purpose as revealed in the Law and the Prophets [Romans 15:8; Matthew 5:17-18; Luke 4:21; Luke 18:31; Luke 24:25-27, 44-45].
Acts 5:29-32 makes it very clear that Christ’s earthly ministry was to Israel.
Jesus Christ’s ministry was still concerning that which God had REVEALED SINCE THE WORLD BEGAN through His prophets (Old Testament) and Jesus Christ [and His disciples] during His earthly ministry [Acts 3:16-21; Luke 1:68-70 KJV]. This is all in The Past [Times Past – Ephesians 2:11-12 KJV], and the focus was Israel, law, prophesy and the sacrificial system.
When the twelve disciples preached the gospel of the kingdom [Luke 9:2; Matthew 10:7; Mark 16:15] they did not understand the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ [Mark 9:31-32; Luke 9:44-45; Luke 18:31-34].
In fact, the heart of the Gospel of the Grace of God [the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ as sufficient payment for our sins; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4] was not even revealed by God until we come to Paul’s ministry [Romans 2:16; Romans 16:25; Galatians 2:7; Ephesians 3:1-11; Ephesians 6:19; 1 Timothy 1:11; 2 Timothy 2:8]. Israel’s 12 apostles were not preaching the Gospel of the Grace of God, for they did not even know Jesus was going to die, let alone resurrect [Luke 18:31-34; John 20:8-9].
In Romans 11:11,15,25 KJV God tells us that Israel is currently temporarily “fallen,” “cast away,” and “spiritually blinded”. God also says in Romans 11:11 KJV that “through their fall salvation has come to the Gentiles”. Thus, this will be Israel’s status “until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in” [Romans 11:25 KJV]
Remember, we currently live in the dispensation of the grace of God [Ephesians 3:2 KJV], where the middle wall of partition between Jew and Gentile have been broken down [Ephesians 2:14 KJV]. We Christians are members of the Church the Body of Christ, in this present day dispensation where there is no difference between Jew or Gentile (Galatians 3:26-28 KJV; Romans 10:12 KJV; Colossians 3:11 KJV Ephesians 1:22,23 KJV). Thus, currently God sees all people [all nations – Romans 16:26 KJV] as equal on the same level as Gentiles.
Thus, compare the above to the instructions which God is giving to the Body of Christ, in THE PRESENT [“But Now” – Ephesians 2:13-19 KJV], that had been KEPT SECRET by God SINCE THE WORLD BEGAN. God calls this information “THE MYSTERY”, and it was revealed for the first time only to the APOSTLE PAUL, by the glorified and ascended Jesus Christ, from heaven, from mid-Acts onward. This “mystery” information was dispensed to the apostle Paul, for him to preach unto ALL NATIONS for the OBEDIENCE IN FAITH. It is APPLICABLE NOW, in this PRESENT-DAY DISPENSATION OF THE GRACE OF GOD, JESUS CHRIST’S HEAVENLY MINISTRY. [Romans 16:25-26; Ephesians 3:1-9; Colossians 1:24-29; 1 Corinthians 2:6-8; Colossians 4:3-4; Galatians 1:11-12; 1 Corinthians 11:23; 1 Corinthians 15:3; Ephesians 3:3; Galatians 1:15-20; Galatians 2:2; Galatians 2:6-9; Acts 9:15; Acts 26:16-18; Romans 11:13; Romans 15:16; 1 Corinthians 1:17; 1 Corinthians 9:17; 1 Timothy 1:11; 2 Timothy 1:11; 1 Timothy 1:16; Titus 1:1-3 KJV].
So, it is clear that from Acts 9 onward, the ascended and glorified Jesus Christ moved over to His heavenly ministry, when he revealed this NEW information [the mystery of Christ] to the Apostle Paul, for Paul to reveal unto ALL nations for obedience in faith.
Furthermore, Galatians 2:6-9 KJV says that God made Peter the apostle for the circumcision [Israel], and God gave Peter, John and James the gospel of the circumcision to preach to Israel, in the past and the future. This gospel of the circumcision is the same gospel which all the role players preached before Jesus Christ revealed “the mystery of Christ” to the apostle Paul. This is the gospel of the future earthly kingdom of God on earth, where you get access via the 1st part of the gospel of Christ, that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God, their Messiah, who will rule from the throne of David – [remember, everyone first have to believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God, before you can trust in His redemptive work on the cross for salvation, righteousness, justification, complete forgiveness of sin]. Israel [as a nation] hasn't even yet believed the 1st part of the gospel of Christ, because they rejected and killed Jesus [in The Past / “Times Past”]. Therefore, in the future [“Ages to Come”] God will give Israel a last chance once He has taken the Body of Christ to Heaven.
Galatians 2:6-9 KJV also says that God made Paul the apostle for the Gentiles [uncircumcision] and God gave Paul the gospel of the UNcircumcision to preach to the Gentiles [all nations - Romans 16:25-26 KJV], in THE PRESENT [“But Now”]. This is the 2nd part of the gospel of Christ, which is salvation, righteousness, justification, complete forgiveness of sin via faith in His redemptive work on the cross].
Go read Romans 16:25-26; Ephesians 3:1-9; Colossians 1:24-29 KJV about the "mystery" information which God had KEPT SECRET SINCE THE WORLD BEGAN until Jesus Christ revealed it to the apostle Paul [Galatians 1:11-12; 1 Corinthians 11:23; 1 Corinthians 15:3; Ephesians 3:3; Galatians 1:15-20; Galatians 2:2 KJV], from mid-Acts onward.
Then compare this to the information which God had REVEALED SINCE THE WORLD BEGAN through His prophets (Old Testament) and Jesus Christ [and His disciples] during His earthly ministry [Matthew to John], and after Christ’s earthly ministry through James, Peter, and John, in Hebrews to Revelation. [see Acts 3:19-21; Luke 1:68-70 KJV].
That which is different, is not the same.
All Scripture Is Given By Inspiration Of God, And Is God’s True Word [2 Timothy 3:16 KJV], But We Need To Rightly Divide It [2 Timothy 2:15 KJV] To Find The Doctrine Applicable To Us NOW In This Present-Day Dispensation Of The Grace Of God.
Everything In The Bible Is True, But Not Everything In The Bible Applies At The Same Moment In Time. It Is Impossible To Apply Everything [All The Doctrines] In The Bible To Us Today. It Is Impossible To Obey All Of God’s Instructions In The Bible At The Same Time.
While All Scripture In The Bible Is Written For Us [For Our Learning - Romans 15:4 KJV], Not All Scripture Is Written To Us [Not All Scripture Applies To Us - 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV].
God Said Different Things To Different People At Different Times. God gave different instructions to different people at different times. God’s instructions changed as time passed.
The Bible is a timeline, a progressive revelation of God’s plan and programs with earth and heaven, and how mankind fits into this plan.
Keep in mind that God is all-knowing and all powerful. He knows the end from the beginning and thus set out all His plans and programs in advance.
Learn to Rightly Divide the word of truth (the Bible) as God commands us to do in 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV.

FAITH IN WHAT?
Sometimes people ask, “is faith enough for salvation?”, or, “do you have faith?”
…Faith in what? There is nothing special about faith in itself.
Every thinking man is a man of faith, but faith in what?
Every false religion has men of faith, but faith in what?
Every Bible ignorant churchgoer says they are people of faith, but faith in what?
It is the object of our faith that makes a weak faith or strong faith.
Faith not based in reality is powerless.
Faith in the wrong thing is unacceptable.
Faith without content is not faith at all, but ignorance.
Merely having faith is pointless, unless it is faith in the right thing. The right thing is always what God provides as the object of faith.
THE JUSTIFIER OF THE UNGODLY
“But to him that worketh not, but believeth on Him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” – Romans 4:5
Most every religion teaches that to be counted righteous before God, we must prove ourselves righteous.
The faith of every religious man is in vain if they believe that ungodly men cannot be justified before God.
Of course, ungodliness is wrong and is rightly condemned by God and man, but God has provided a means to justify ungodly people without their good works.
If your faith squirms at this admission then your faith is entirely unacceptable to God, and you have no faith in the gospel that saves.
Evaluate the content of your faith, you may find it is faith in yourself and your own godliness, instead of God’s provision.
God can justify the ungodly who place their faith in the blood of Christ as paying for their sins.
FAITH IN THE DEATH AND RESURRECTION
“But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.” – Rom 4:24-25
If your faith does not include the resurrection of Christ on your behalf, which constitutes the finished work of Christ, then your faith is in vain.
“And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain;…” – 1 Cor 15:17
However, righteousness can be imputed to you if we believe in God, who delivered Christ for our offences, and raised him up for our justification.
Many “people of faith” claim ignorance about how God saves them, or that their faith is found in circumstances, or “every day miracles”. This is not a faith God respects.
Faith comes from hearing the word of God (Rom 10:17). Even then, when the Bible says to have faith, we must ask, “faith in what?”
Not all men in the Bible had faith in the same thing. Faith in a covenant, the law, the kingdom come, or even the name of the Son of God is not the content of the gospel today.
Faith in Christ’s work on your behalf is what has been offered for your belief. It is not faith in any thing that matters, it is faith in the right thing: faith in the gospel for today.
BELIEVE THE GOSPEL
“By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” – 1 Cor 15:2-4
Without Christ’s death and resurrection Christian faith is blind, impotent to save, foolish, and unacceptable to God. This is why Paul places so much emphasis on the preaching of the cross as the object of your belief.
If this doctrinal faith makes you uncomfortable, or conflicts with what you think God should accept, then your faith is not based on the Bible, and is not based in reality.
People believe miracles, and can be condemned when they die.
People believe in angels, and good deeds, and karma, and will be guilty on judgment day.
People have faith in humanity, good will, and charity and will not be saved because they have rejected God’s provision.
We are saved by simply trusting the gospel of our salvation, not by faith in feelings, churches, popes, religious systems, good works, hard work, church going, angels, miracles, or any of the millions of things people of faith believe.
The gospel of our salvation is the finished work of Christ on our behalf (Eph1:13).
One thing saves. Only one faith is acceptable. Only one faith was taught by Paul as the gospel. That is faith in Christ’s death for our sins, His physical burial, and His literal resurrection for our eternal life.
Christ’s Cross Work is what saves. Is your faith in that?
Grace ✝
For those who have ears to hear, let them hear.
All Glory be to God Almighty, in Christ Jesus. Amen and Amen.

HOW TO GET ACCESS TO HEAVEN:
Jesus Christ [The Son of GOD / GOD The Son] came to earth and became flesh [fully man yet still fully God] shed His SINLESS BLOOD and died your sin-death on your behalf on the cross on Golgotha, to pay your total sin-debt in full so that you may receive the complete forgiveness of all your sins [past, present, future]. He was buried as proof of his death. On the 3rd day he resurrected from the dead, so that you may be justified and get covered by the righteousness of God to be allowed into heaven and have eternal life. [See bottom for the King James Bible Verses in support of this message].
Sinning is to break God’s laws as set in the word of God, the Bible [written by the divine inspiration of the Holy Spirit].
Every person does, thinks and says unholy things which are against the perfect and holy law and nature of God [eg. lying]. God’s law is outlined in Exodus 20, expounded on throughout The Bible, and it is best summarized in Matthew 22:37-40: “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”
Have you completely adhered to this command every moment of your entire life? Of course, you have not! No-one is able to completely adhere to this command every moment of their entire life.
Thus, you are a sinner [Romans 3:10-12,23 KJV] and thus God has declared you inherently unholy and unrighteous [Romans 3:10 KJV] and therefore your earthly body is destined to die [Romans 6:23, Romans 5:12,18 KJV] and your soul is destined to spend eternity in the fires of hell as punishment for your sins [Romans 6:23 KJV]. This is your sin-death. You soul, which is you and your consciousness and the mental and physical abilities to experience loss and pain, will be put in an everlasting body which isn’t consumed by fire. Luke 16:19-31 KJV teaches that your soul-body has memories, feels emotions [eg, fear and terror etc], gets thirsty, and feels pain and suffering! Hell is designed in a way that all five senses are tortured day and night with no rest and no escape. And, the body given to the unsaved / unforgiven in hell are designed to live in that torture forever. Going to Hell is similar to falling into a huge fire and burning alive forever! [Isaiah 66:24; Mark 9:44,46,48; 2 Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 14:10-11; Revelation 20:10; Revelation 19:20; Jude 1:6; Jude 1:13; Matthew 8:12; Matthew 13:42; Luke 16:24; James 3:6 KJV]
God wants to forgive your sins and save you from going to Hell – 1 Timothy 2:3-4 KJV. He wants you to go to heaven. Going to Heaven is experiencing happiness and joy with Jesus Christ forever [if you are forgiven and saved].
God decreed: LIFE IS IN THE BLOOD. BLOOD HAS TO BE SHED AND A LIFE GIVEN TO PAY SIN-DEBT / MAKE ATONEMENT FOR YOUR SOUL / FORGIVE SINS.
Leviticus 17:11 KJV “For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.”
Romans 6:23 KJV “For the wages of sin is death [Eternal Hell-Fire]; but the gift of God is eternal life [Eternal Heaven] through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
See also Romans 5:12&18 KJV
Here is the GOSPEL OF CHRIST / GOSPEL OF THE GRACE OF GOD WHICH TELLS US WHAT JESUS CHRIST DID TO PAY YOUR TOTAL SIN-DEBT IN FULL / MAKE ATONEMENT FOR YOUR SOUL / FORGIVE ALL YOUR SINS / JUSTIFY YOU / MAKE YOU RIGHTEOUS / SAVE YOU FROM GOING TO HELL & ALLOW YOU ENTRY INTO ETERNAL HEAVEN:
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 [KJV] “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the GOSPEL which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are SAVED, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES; And that HE WAS BURIED, and that HE ROSE AGAIN THE THIRD DAY ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES”
Jesus Christ took the consequences of your sins, your punishment and the wrath of God the Father for your sin in His body on your behalf. God The Father’s wrath and anger for your sins rested on Jesus Christ. This means that Jesus Christ was punished in stead of you for your sins.
Jesus Christ SHED HIS PERFECT SIN-LESS BLOOD TO MAKE ATONEMENT ON YOUR BEHALF. This means that Jesus Christ was your perfect blood sacrifice for the complete payment of your sin-debt and thus the complete forgiveness of your sins [past present & future]. This way He effected substitutionary [replacement / on your behalf] blood atonement [payment / reconciliation] for you unto God The Father. Jesus Christ repaired the wrong [damage / brokenness] your sins caused between you and God. He satisfied God’s wrath and anger caused by your sin.
Jesus Christ DIED FOR YOUR SINS ON YOUR BEHALF, WAS BURIED, AND THEN ROSE FROM THE DEAD BACK TO LIFE [RESURRECTED] ON THE 3rd DAY FOR YOUR JUSTIFICATION. Jesus Christ died your sin-death [because you are a sinner] on your behalf.
GOD THE FATHER RESURRECTED HIS SON FROM THE DEAD BECAUSE JESUS CHRIST’S BLOOD SACRIFICE AS PAYMENT OF YOUR SIN-DEBT, AND HIS DEATH ON YOUR BEHALF FOR YOUR SINS WERE ACCEPTED BY GOD THE FATHER AS ALL-SUFFICIENT TO MAKE ATONEMENT BETWEEN GOD AND YOU / PAY YOUR TOTAL SIN-DEBT IN FULL / TO FORGIVE ALL YOUR SINS / JUSTIFY YOU / MAKE YOU RIGHTEOUS / SAVE YOU FROM GOING TO HELL & ALLOW YOU ENTRY INTO ETERNAL HEAVEN.
YOU HAVE A SIN-DEBT, which MUST BE PAID. Either you pay for it by your body dying and your soul [the real you] burning in the fires of hell forever as punishment for your sins, OR Jesus Christ pays your sin-debt by you believing and trusting in His finished work on the cross as the all-sufficient and complete payment for your sins.
If you believe and trust that Jesus Christ did all of the above-mentioned for you PERSONALLY you will get forgiveness of ALL your sins [past present & future] because He paid your sin-debt, and you will be covered with His righteousness.
The effect is that you will be saved from an eternal hell-fire!! You will be saved from the consequences of- and punishment for your sins [eternal hell]. Jesus Christ became sin for you [your sins], so that you can become righteous in Jesus Christ. You get His righteousness. Your eternal destination will be glorious Heaven with Jesus Christ.
In the Old Testament times people had to sacrifice animals and their blood had to be shed for the remission of sin [temporary atonement - Leviticus 16:27]. Now, in the New Testament times [our modern time] Jesus Christ is our one-time perfect and all-sufficient blood sacrifice. He shed His sinless blood and gave His sinless life [on your behalf] for the complete payment & thus complete forgiveness of all your sin [past present & future]. Complete all-sufficient Atonement.
Now, start a relationship with God via prayer and daily Bible study [the King James Version]. Start with Romans to Philemon, because Paul is the apostle and spokesperson for this present-day dispensation of the grace of God we live in now. Then study the rest of the Bible.

ROMANS 3:20‭-‬25 KJB
20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood …
ROMANS 5:1 KJB
1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

CHRIST AFTER THE FLESH
By Justin Johnson 😊
Have you ever wondered what it would have been like to live in Israel when Jesus did?
Each year thousands of tourists travel to Israel to walk where Jesus walked, to see the sites of Biblical stories, the waters Jesus walked on, and the path he took through Jerusalem to Calvary.
Maybe you’ve wondered what Jesus looked like in the flesh, or what his personality was like when he was not sermonizing on mountains. Did he laugh? Did he play games? Did he ever stub his toe?
It is not a new thing for writers to surmise what Jesus the child would be like. Since there is even less Biblical description of him as a boy, their fictions mesmerize those who want to get a sense of the real presence of Jesus after the flesh.
What we know of Jesus’ earthly life and ministry is the purpose of what are popularly called the four Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These books about Jesus’ life in the flesh are where most of Christianity spends its time in preaching, teaching, and learning about Him.
After all, is not God coming in the flesh and living among us the greatest message of Christianity? Well, not exactly. This is commonly accepted, except that it is not true.
Knowing Christ After the Flesh
The greatest message of Christianity is not Jesus life and ministry in the flesh, but what he did and revealed after he rose again from the dead.
Read what the apostle Paul says about knowing Jesus in the flesh.
“…yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.” – 2 Corinthians 5:16
Knowing Christ after the flesh is learned from the stories of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. The Word was made flesh in John 1:14. His conception and birth of the flesh is described.
Knowing Jesus in his earthly ministry is to know him as the Son of David, the Son of Abraham, the Son of Mary, and the Son of God made flesh. He ate, he slept, he wept, he walked, he lived, and he died. He was circumcised; he kept and taught the law; he observed holy days.
In the flesh he was a Jew, and his ministry in the flesh was toward the lost circumcision in the flesh of Israel.
“…and of [Israel] as concerning the flesh Christ came…” – Romans 9:5
“Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:” – Romans 15:8
Jesus said, “I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” – Matthew 15:24
It was in the four Gospels that Jesus was made in the likeness of sinful flesh (Rom 8:3), suffered in the flesh (1 Pet 4:1), and died in the flesh (1 Pet 3:18).
Remember, Paul wrote, “we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more [after the flesh]” (2 Cor 5:16).
When Paul made this statement Jesus’ entire earthly ministry in the flesh was over. The events of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John were finished. If we no longer know Christ after the flesh, then how should we know him?
Knowing Christ From Now On
The risen Christ revealed to Paul a new way of knowing him that was not after his life and ministry in the flesh. Paul called it the mystery of Christ, and it concerns the gospel of Christ to all men (Rom 1:16), a heavenly Body of Christ (Eph 3:4-7), and the hope of eternal glory by God’s grace given freely to all (Col 1:25-28).
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” – 2 Corinthians 5:17
Instead of knowing Christ in the flesh as the Jewish Messiah prophesied since the world began, we know him as establishing a new creature seated in heavenly places kept secret since the world began (2 Cor 5:17; Rom 16:25).
We no longer know him as a Jew born as the son of David, but in Christ there is no Jew nor Greek (Gal 3:28). We no longer know him as King of the Jews, but the Head of this glorious Body called the church over all things (Eph 1:21-23).
This knowledge of Christ is not after the flesh, but rather, as the risen Lord and Saviour offering grace to the ungodly and sinners worldwide through faith in the cross.
This message of the grace and mystery of Christ is the greatest message of Christianity and can not be found in the four Gospel books that reveal Christ after the flesh. It is the unique message of the apostle Paul given to him by Christ after his ministry in the flesh was over (Gal 1:11-12; 1 Cor 15:8-10).
Exploring Jesus in his life after the flesh as a baby, toddler, teenager, or what Jesus would do in his earthly ministry toward the circumcision will only lead to an inferior knowledge of Christ today.
To know Christ as he should be known now is to know Him as he would want to be known: according to Paul’s gospel and the revelation of the mystery.
“Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began…” – Romans 16:25

Paul’s “My Gospel”
Justin Johnson
If Paul taught the same gospel as those before him, then why did he call it “my gospel” three times?
Paul uses both phrases “the gospel” and “our gospel” in his epistles, but when Paul mentions “my gospel” it shows that he had a unique message.
My Gospel: to Jew and Gentile
Paul’s gospel made no distinction between Jew or Gentile. All are counted in unbelief as sinners, and are judged by God without respect of persons whether given the law or not.
Therefore, Paul says:
“In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.” – Romans 2:16
During time past, Jesus’ earthly ministry, and up to his encounter with the Roman, Cornelius, there was a distinction between Jew and Gentile in Peter’s ministry preaching. The Jews had a special spiritual standing with the Lord. Gentiles did not.
My Gospel to Stablish
Paul says “my gospel” is how God stablishes the Romans.
“Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began…” – Romans 16:25
To the Corinthians, Paul claims to be the masterbuilder who lays the foundation of the grace of God upon which other men build.
“According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon.” – 1 Corinthians 3:10
Resurrection According to My Gospel
Resurrection was a part of Jewish prophecy, Jesus foretold his own, and Peter preached the resurrection of Christ before Paul was saved. So how could Paul say this?
“Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:” – 2 Timothy 2:8
The fact of the resurrection was prophesied, and both Paul and the twelve taught it (1 Cor 15:11). However, the resurrection of Christ was preached by Peter as proof of his Messiahship, and assurance of the kingdom come.
Paul preached the resurrection of Christ as the means of salvation and sanctification for all humanity as part of a new creature, the church the Body of Christ.
Unique to Paul
Paul’s gospel message was entirely of Christ, and so Paul stands alone in calling it “the gospel of Christ” and “Christ’s gospel”, but that he also calls it “my gospel” can only be explained by the fact that Christ gave it first to Paul exclusively.
No one else in scripture could claim “my gospel”, nor can we. We learned the gospel from Paul’s writings, and the twelve apostles taught the same gospel as John the Baptist and of which the prophets spoke (Mark 1:4; Mark 1:15; Acts 3:19-21).
Paul repeatedly says that the dispensation of the grace of God was given to him (Eph 3:2; Eph 3:7; Col 1:25; Rom 15:15).
The Lord revealed to Paul a mystery kept secret since the world began (Rom 16:25; Eph 3:3). Paul was the chosen vessel of the Lord, appointed to the office of apostle of the Gentiles (Rom 11:13; 2 Tim 1:11).
A “dispensation of the gospel” was committed unto him (1 Cor 9:17). His gospel was not received by man, nor was it of man, but given to him first by the Lord (Gal 1:1; Gal 1:11). Even Peter had to learn that God had given Paul further information about God’s grace (Gal 2:9).
It was truly his gospel from Christ, and it was his responsibility to preach his gospel wherever he went.
“If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward…to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:” – Ephesian 3:2-9

Verses in the Bible [King James] in support of the message above:
Isaiah 64:6; Jeremiah 17:9; Mark 7:20-23; Psalm 9:17; Psalm 14:1-3; Leviticus 17:11; 2 Thessalonians 1:8; Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 20:15; Revelation 21:8; Acts 17:1-3; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8; Romans 1:16-17; Romans 3:10-20,23-26,28; Romans 4:3-5,7-8,14-15,24-25; Romans 5:1,8-12,18,21; Romans 6:3-4,14-23; Romans 7:1-13; Romans 8:1-4,10; 1 Corinthians 1:30; 1 Corinthians 6:11; 1 Corinthians 15:51-55; 2 Corinthians 5:17,19,21; Galatians 2:16-21; Galatians 3:11-13; Ephesians 1:7,12-14; Ephesians 2:1,4-6,8-9; Ephesians 4:32; Ephesians 5:2; Philippians 3:9,20; Colossians 1:13-14,21-22; Colossians 2:10-14; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Titus 3:5-7 KJV
Paul, the divinely appointed apostle [Acts 9:15; Acts 20:24; Acts 26:17-18; Romans 15:16; 1 Corinthians 11:23; Galatians 1:11-12 etc] for this current dispensation of the grace of God [Ephesians 3:2; 1 Corinthians 9:17; 1 Corinthians11:1], writes about justification by faith, for imputed righteousness, without the deeds of the law:
ROMANS 3:20‭-‬25 KJB
20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
ROMANS 4:24‭-‬25 KJB
24 But for us also, to whom it [God’s righteousness] shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
25 Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
ROMANS 6:23 KJB
23 For the wages of sin is death [hell]; but the gift of God is eternal life [Heaven] through Jesus Christ our Lord.
EPHESIANS 1:7 KJB
7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace
EPHESIANS 2:8‭-‬9 KJB
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
COLOSSIANS 1:12-14 KJB
12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.
