being with a man: mid, disappointing, underwhelming
crushing on a man from a distance, wearing cute outfits and smiling extra bright when u pass them, listening to pop songs and creating fake scenarios in your head: god tier, absolute best feeling however fleeting

there are as many minds as there
are heads, then there are as many

dark academic activities (taylor's version):
stand in a nice dress staring at the sunset
move the furniture so you can dance
meet someone where the spirit meets the bones
book the night train (for a reason)
draw hearts in the byline
use your best colors for a portrait
stare out an open window catching your death
sit in a corner you haunt
go to the stone every day, grieve for the living
put the money in a bag and steal the keys
if someone asks you to dance, say dancing is a dangerous game
clean enough houses to know how to cover up a scene
sneak in through the garden gate
cry tears of mascara in the bathroom
wake up in the middle of the night and feel time moving
set off, but not without your muse
have a sad, beautiful, tragic love affair
dance in a storm in your best dress, fearless
sip coffee like you're on a late night show
be fine with your spite and your tears and your beers and your candles
see a film before and dislike the ending
fall behind all your classmates and end up here

too much self reflection is not a good thing honestly. go outside and plant a garden and then cook yourself a homemade dinner then mop the floors and change your sheets and take a hot shower then you won’t care so much

Of course I’ll hurt you. Of course you’ll hurt me. Of course we will hurt each other. But this is the very condition of existence. To become spring, means accepting the risk of winter. To become presence, means accepting the risk of absence.

some things are left unsaid like stories resting on nightstands waiting to be held again, but i will always remember the way you folded me at my corners like there was a part of me you wanted to come back to.

you got quiet on the other line
said the sun was coming up
and i laughed until i couldn't breathe
now i'm too tired to go to sleep
now i can't breathe, and i can't sleep
i don't wanna be stoned
i don't wanna be stoned anymore
don't wanna be alone
don't wanna be alone anymore
i’ve got a good feeling
i have got a good feeling
it doesn't happen very often.

the mortifying ordeal of admitting you do want to be loved vs the mortifying ordeal of not wanting ppl to pity you or feel bad for u vs the mortifying ordeal of wanting to reciprocate affection but being useless vs the mortifying ordeal of being careless with others and actually feeling bad vs the mortifying ordeal of being perceived as vulnerable at all.
