"Ah, what price could be too high to pay for a view of such splendor? I can assure you ma'am, we have nothing like this in merry old England."
While he was admiring the view, Walter was perfectly aware that there were eyes on him. It didn't bother him too much-there were very few beings he couldn't give a good fight, or at least escape from.
"You see, I teach High School history. And while nothing could be more fulfilling than imparting valuable knowledge to young whippersnappers, it has been a long while since I've enjoyed some peace and quiet. I had hoped that the forest could lend me some of its tranquility."
That was half the truth anyway. True, coming to Mystery Mountain he had hoped to relax after a stressful school year, but at the same time the stories of missing visitors had attracted him like a fly to honey. Something-or someone was capturing them. Being a spy and a scholar of both the human world and the supernatural, he could never pass up the opportunity to find out what was going on.
And if he played his cards right, maybe he could convince whoever was responsible to join the Pale Lady's side. The Janus Order could always use more allies.

Walter put on his best “oblivious tourist” impression, speaking in the calm, friendly manner he always did when addressing his students. The British accent (as strangely placed here as Darlene's Brooklyn) helped a lot when it came to creating the guise of a mild-mannered gentleman.
He knew that something was up-the aura of this place emanated a sense of unease and hidden danger, but he doubted that it was anything he couldn’t handle, even if danger should strike.
“I’ll have the full experience please, but first I would love to take a tour into your lovely forest.” He reached into the pocket of his tweed jacket for his wallet and placed the money on the desk.

He had decided to spend his vacation on a small road cross-country road-trip, and so far he wasn’t disappointed. The cool, foggy forests of Oregon was a welcome break from the sweltering heat of Southern California.
The Spider Queen maintained her ‘human’ glamor, and eyed the stranger crossing her gravely lot to her booth. She could smell a non-human a mile away, literally. But, hey, if the guy wanted to play a game with her, sure, she’ll play it. It’s been a slow week what with the spring breakers going back to school and all. Well. Some of them.
Heh.
This guy had to be up to something…they all were.
She took one more drag of her cigarette, and then doused it on the ledge of her booth, placing the cigarette case back in her purse. ( Well, it was her case now, the owner long digested. )
“Sure sweets. Ya lookin’ for a full forest tour, or just the cafeteria-and-back-lot-kinda deal? ‘Cause the full park experience is 55 bucks. The short run is 35. Takin’ selfies and hangin’ out in the front of the visitor center is the only free ride ya’ll get here. No refunds, no substations, and call ya mother ta’ come get ya if you don’t like my rates.”
No wonder Stanley Pines vibed with her–fake tan or not.

Drow society is supposed to an EVIL matriarchy where the women hold all the positions of power and political influence, while men are treated as a servant class who’s value is measured by their usefulness to their female benefactors. Because apparently nothing is more terrifying than a society where men are treated like women and vice versa.
Yet in Dungeons and Dragons, and many similar franchises, always seem depict drow women going to ridiculous lengths to cater to the male gaze. They dress not for comfort, practicality or to flaunt their wealth but rather to showcase their sexy - even when they’re supposed to focusing on misandry or being dangerous.
But perhaps I am just being jaded and cynical, perhaps there is a simple explanation! So I am running a contest and offering a Steam copy of Life Goes On - a game that perfectly encapsulates everything Bikini Armor Battle Damage stands for by combining gender equitable armor and gratuitous violence.
All you have to do is think up a caption and submit it either by Tumblr’s answer function or the Disqus comments below. The competition will run for exactly seven days, and the winner will be judged by myself and announced the day after - all entries will be expected to adhere to our Submission Guidelines (specifically the “what is NOT welcome” section).

I’ve been trying to develop Walter Carter and how he differs from his series counterpart. Here are the ideas I’ve come up with so far.
About Walter Carter:
he’s a changeling, who in the book universe are trolls made to replace human infants like in the series. However, being a much darker, more violent universe the fate of these human infants more often than not end up as a snack for trolls than stored somewhere safe in the darklands. Carter and his siblings make up this world’s version of the Janus Order, they are the children of the Pale Lady, an ancient cthonic goddess who wants to take back the earth from humanity to give Trollkind, who she views as her children a better future.
Personality-wise, I think Carter is very similar to Strickler, they are both older, mild-mannered gentlemen and scholars with a love for history. I’m still not sure how their personalities differ, but their backgrounds are quite different.
Instead of being shunned by trollkind like in the series, changelings in this world while seen as mysterious and somewhat sinister receive nowhere near the same amount of hatred. Rather than being considered lowly and inferior Carter and his siblings have always been told that they are special and have a sacred duty of taking the world back from humanity for the benefit of Trollkind.

What's the worst Wyatt's ever been injured?
I imagine that it must have been an incident early in his career, back when he was young, cocky but without the experience to match. He had been hunting after a bounty but underestimated their strength and during the fight was beaten pretty badly. Wyatt won, but his victory cost him some blood loss, a few broken bones and scars.
