Posted @withregram • @childrensla To round out the end of another great #MakeMarchMatter campaign, on Thursday, March 21st, CHLA patients and their families were treated to a very special Literally Healing story time with Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex. They were laughing and singing as she read patient favorites like Rosie the Riveter, Pete the Cat and I Saw a Cat. With literacy, development and fun in mind, the mom of two also helped kids with activities tied to each book that let kids explore counting, colors, problem solving and more.
Literally Healing is an innovative reading program that gifts families at CHLA more than 65,000 books annually and provides a unique opportunity to promote literacy, as well as supports and strengthens our patient families through additional therapeutic literary resources. Thank you, Meghan, for helping #MakeMarchMatter by giving our patients such a special experience! 📚❤️
“The Prince and Princess are both enormously touched by the kind messages from people here in the UK, across the Commonwealth and around the world in response to Her Royal Highness' message.
They are extremely moved by the public's warmth and support and are grateful for the understanding of their request for privacy at this time."
- A statement from Kensington Palace (this statement is the last we will hear from the prince and princess for a while)
4 Years ago H & Meg and sweet bubba Arch took their "freedom flight" from Canada to California to begin their lives together in the sunshine, searching for home, happiness and the chance to start anew + thrive.
4 Years on, The Duchess launches American Riviera Orchard, a new chapter once more 💫
Sad he's had to share it but gorgeous to see nonetheless.
"The original Jpeg without the black and White grade, I expect a full apology and retraction from @MailOnline @Telegraph @victoria_ward
No trees or meadows were moved or swapped, this is the image straight out of camera.
Also that is a Jacaranda Tree, not a willow tree." - Misan Harriman.
