A part of being an adult is living with regret and not allowing it to consume you. The older you get, the more mistakes you’ve made, opportunities you’ve missed, people you’ve disappointed. And every day you have to remind yourself to be kind and forgiving of yourself. You accept and love the you from the past and understand that it’s all a part of the process. Then you move on and live your best life, knowing now as old as you feel today, you’ll never be this young again.

when indya moore said “when I tell people oh I love you, they think it’s weird, but that’s okay. you don’t have to understand. my love is not measured in reciprocity. that’s not the way I learned love. I love you” i felt that

I am so tired with this life...with this day. But I also don't want to sleep.

He asked me, "Are you okay?"
I said nothing.
It's like I was sucked out of all my strength.. that my legs have been washed off my muscles. It's like I will never be able to stand again, ever.
How to tell him that, without breaking his heart too.
So, I said nothing.
I cried and cried
Till I couldn't
My tears are dried
and my eyes burn
But more than anything else
My heart breaks into pieces
They pierce my soul
From time to time
Making me bleed
for years to come.

the only famous person that was right about the pandemic was francesco guccini when he said “no we will not be better after covid. and we will learn nothing from it because man never learns. it is human nature to forget about tragedy as soon as it is over and to resume life as if nothing happened”

If you didn’t get as much done as you planned, it’s okay. If you tried, but you didn’t get as far as you wanted to, it’s okay. If you made an effort, but it wasn’t as good as you expected it to be, it’s okay.

“Your first love is an illusion. You throw all these concepts and attach them to a person. And everyone after them will never measure up. This is because your first love has no expectations. You enter that relationship blind and naive. You love them unconditionally and give them your whole heart because you don’t know any better. And that is why it’s devastating when they leave, because we haven’t experienced the pain that follows their departure.”

please stop living for the weekend!! doing things that make you happy everyday will make your life so so much better! visit your grandma on a thursday evening, drink your favorite tea while you study, go on a date with your s/o after work, watch that comedy show after school, wear your best parfum everyday!! it’s ok to have boundaries but please don’t get stuck in boring daily routines

I wanna learn Latin, but I also wanna learn Japanese, and I also wanna learn the meanings of different flowers, but I also wanna learn astronomy; so I can give flowers to people with special meanings, so I can cite quotes perfectly, so I don’t have to read translations of books I love, so I can point out constellations to someone while star gazing.

No need to rush things that will come to you eventually, such as healing, luck and happiness. Don't be afraid to take your time.

I am gradually adjusting to the idea that there is nothing wrong in living inside your head, indulging in fantasies and the stories in your mind and daydreaming your way through days because the world is cruel and some days are harsh and we all deserve a soft pillow to lay down our head on.
