Here's some more Dragonball Z fanart featuring some of my favorite characters: Guldo, Chiaotzu, and Gohan. However, this art piece isn't exactly a happy one. You probably might get the hint as to why I say this already, but I'll give you some details.

As a lifelong fan of Dragonball, I was shocked to hear that the creator of the series, Akira Toriyama, had passed away roughly over a week ago. It was like reading news articles about how Toriyama-san was about to announce some new projects and spinoff works he was working on; then, suddenly, the next day, I found out that he was gone. According to official reports, Toriyama-san's cause of death was acute subdural hematoma.  Basically, this is a form of severe head injury in which bleeding fills up the brain area and causes brain tissue to compress. I will leave a hyperlink in case anyone wants to know more about it, but anyway, back to Toriyama...

When I was much younger, I would watch Dragonball and Dragonball Z on Cartoon Network's Toonami and Miguzi segments. Sometimes I would find myself hurrying back home or to my grandma's house from school and my afterschool program to catch the latest episode. I would watch Goku's adventures religiously and see what kind of friends, rivals, and enemies he'd make along the way. I was also a big fan of the Dragonball Z video games, including DBZ: Budokai, The Legacy of Goku, Dragonball FighterZ, Super Dragonball Heroes: World Mission, and DBZ: Kakarot. I would play DBZ: Budokai 3 non-stop with my cousin whenever I went to his house to play his PS2 with him. I still wish I had my PS2 so I could relive my DBZ gaming memories, but I still have Dragonball FighterZ, Super Dragonball Heroes, and DBZ: Kakarot. Matter of fact, I want to return to Dragonball FighterZ at some point since the online modes have been overhauled with rollback netcode. I also want to go back to DBZ: Kakarot at some point to finish playing the game and DLCs!

Fast-forward several years later, I remember not too long ago that during the COVID pandemic, I would binge-watch the original Dragonball series and a portion of the Dragonball Z series while exercising on a machine in the comfort of my home. It was my favorite pastime and a great way for me to lose weight while doing so. In fact, I plan on continuing to binge-watch the original Dragonball Z series with the Kikuchi musical score real soon.

I'm still very shocked and saddened by the fact that Toriyama-san is no longer with us, but as a Dragonball fan and appreciator of his works, I will always keep his stories close to my heart. Dragonball is a series that has given me a reason to never give up on life and everything that I do. It's something that helps me get pumped to exercise, become a better person, and never stop improving myself in the long run. So, to give Toriyama-san a proper sendoff, I'm going to refrain from trying to collect the Dragon Balls to bring him back to life, salute him for all his hard work and his efforts to make my childhood the best childhood I've ever had, and keep his memories and works alive!

Thank you so much for the memories, Toriyama-san. May you rest in peace.

You damn right he's got a lightsaber! Maybe he's a Star Wars fanatic and does all those fancy moves and flips at home despite his giant size!

The Motion Blur was so much fun to work with! I feel like every time I draw my Melogreon characters Daz and Emil, their facial features become closer to that of humans. However, some Melogreons have skin colors nearly identical to humans to the point where they could easily be mistaken for overly large ones. The word "Melogreon" is a portmanteau on "melon" and "ogre." In this case, I'd consider Daz's skin to be colored similarly to the canary melon. Again, this is just a simple random original character doodle I decided to do with no other clear goal in mind besides fleshing out his design.

I haven't done a lot of drawing lately due to this thing called "life." However, I finally got around to doing another sketch dump featuring my favorite Ginyu Force member, Guldo. Yet again, this is just another means to give him the proper respect he deserves.

I want to emphasize that the scenarios I made up for this dump aren't canon in any way. I simply made these random dumps to see what it would look like if Guldo was an actor playing as the character with the same name and what life he could have outside of acting for Dragonball Z. Some questions just popped into my head, including the following: What's Guldo's portrayer like? What does he like to do? What accommodations did he need to get the role? What life does he have outside of Dragonball Z?

Overall, this dump was a nice, refreshing way to get back into doing one of my favorite hobbies: draw just for the heck of it! I wanna do more of this at a later date; but until then, I hope you enjoy it!

This is actually my very first Pokemon Gijinka. Back then, I never really understood the term, yet I thought some of the Gijinka art I viewed were pretty cool! But yeah, here it is: Dr. Darius Noir as a Gijinka.

The summary pretty much says it all, but I'll write it here in case anyone has trouble reading my text.

Classification: Gripper

Name: Dr. Darius Noir

Nature: Calm (After adjustment)

Size: 46'10' (Due to Fairchild berry consumption and shapeshift into a humanoid form and developing legs)

- For some reason, on one of his vacation days, Darius happened upon a strange artifact that caused him to shapeshift into a middle-aged humanoid titan.

He isn't quite used to his new form yet, but his trainer, Keshaun, his sons, and the children of Elderwood Town do their best to help him adjust to this change until they find a way to reverse his metamorphosis.

Darius must now physically move his newfound legs since he doesn't have his wispy tail to float around with.

[Some new features include the following...]

1.) Age marks 2.) Glasses 3.) Earrings 4.) Beard 5.) Jagged teeth 6.) Rings 7.) Pants 8.) Custom-designed boots

- After adjusting to his new form, Darius will still allow children and his nephews to ride on his shoulder!

- Despite his transformation, much of Big D's calm and kind personality remains the same.

- But if you dare to provoke his patients, friends, and family, he will not be pleased.

I'll most likely keep this for future reference because after making a draft of Darius's Gijinka form, I might consider making this a story arc after finishing Otherworldly Goodwill Revisited! I hope you guys enjoy Darius's humanoid form, just as I enjoyed fleshing it out!

This is several days late, but I FINALLY finished my Independence Day piece! Or maybe in this case, it's more of a summer Dragonball Z piece featuring my Boulean OC, Dulien. Yeah, he's a significantly larger Boulean than the now-dead Guldo. Emphasis on "larger." Maybe I'll call this type of Boulean a "Prime Boulean," a special type of Boulean born with ten times the power and size of a normal one like Guldo!

I figured somewhere along the line, Dulien could make good friends with Tien and Chiaotzu and teach them a few things, particularly to Chiaotzu since it seems most Bouleans are born with psychic powers. Something about Dulien teaching Chiaotzu a few tricks with his telekinetic abilities felt so right to me. The little boy on his lap is his adopted kid too. Since Dulien has more experience with his psychic and time-freezing powers, he shows more aptitude and confidence and takes no crud from anyone, not even Guldo. Guldo's only allowed in this plane of existence for a while to enjoy the fireworks though. But as much as I like him as a character and wish he could've had more potential, he has let me down during the Frieza arc, so as a result, he's been punished and demoted to a cushion.

Anyway, all of this is still a concept, but I really enjoyed putting this together. Happy Late 4th of July, everyone!

I finished watching the entire Planet Namek and Frieza saga in the original Dragonball Z Funimation dub with Kikuchi's musical score last weekend. And after seeing Guldo in action and feeling how much potential he could've had as a character, I decided to create my own Boulean character: Dulien. I haven't really started his backstory yet, but what I

can

say is that he's not affiliated with Frieza, has a story that correlates with the Planet Namek saga, or has any affiliation with the main cast. Well, not yet, at least. In fact, his concept is more non-canon and just for fun more than anything else.

Another thing I can tell you is that he more or less has the same powers as Guldo and his entire Boulean race, but he has more control over them and has more potential, given how calm and collected he is when he normally uses them. I dunno, man. I had to do something to cope with my disappointment with how Guldo was handled. Haha! XD

I mean, it's not like it Guldo's character was all THAT bad, but it was just sad that he got wasted too quickly. Plus, I actually found the Boulean race design pretty cool. It's also safe to say that Dulien is a lot taller, smarter, and rotund than the average Boulean. That would probably explain the major outie belly button on his suit! Maybe I'll call this type of Boulean a "Prime Boulean."

Anyway, here's Dulien! So I hope you enjoy! Hopefully I can draw him a bit better next time! Also, don't take off his hat. You don't want to know what's hidden there. Wink-wink! ;)

[The name "Dulien" is actually a pun or wordplay on the durian fruit.]

I’ll keep this in mind. I have a Dr. Noir comic idea that might require a motion blur for one of the frames.

So, when you use a motion blur for moving objects in your comics, do you usually use one layer or duplicate a layer to use for the blur? I wanted to ask just because I might want to try something like that one day.

So Dr Noir do you have instances of your patients being scared of you? Some people especially young kids do tend to get scared depending on what kinda treatment and such they need after all

It was quite a process, to say the least. But even for a giant Dusknoir doctor, one must take baby steps to win the hearts and trust of your patients!

* Must’ve gotten a promotion in the Ginyu Force!

Okay, so get this! For the past few weeks, I’ve been rewatching the original Dragonball Z series with Shunsuke Kikuchi’s music score and playing Dragonball Z: Kakarot. I’m currently nearing the end of the Frieza arc. I saw the Ginyu Force fight against Gohan and Krillin. As you can see, I wanted to deliver Ginyu Force member Guldo some long-overdue justice. I HAD to. For a while, I really felt like the creator(s) and animators did Guldo SO dirty! As most of us have seen, Guldo hasn’t really amounted to much other than his inferiority complex, his hatred for the Saiyans, his desire to get even with Vegeta, and the fact that he was very unfit to be in the Ginyu Force in the first place. As such, I felt like creating a sketch dump to create some scenarios and tap into some hidden potential Guldo could’ve had so he would’ve at least been some force to be reckoned with. The robes and hat I made for him were just personal touches simply because I felt like it. I hope this will help bring some justice to Guldo and gather some artists and Dragonball Z fans alike who appreciate him and wish he could’ve been around for a while longer before meeting his demise. Soooooo~... Tomorrow's Memorial Day and I actually had this piece finished beforehand! I thought I should leave this piece a day early. Again, I've never really watched the old Donkey Kong animated series, but just like I made a custom take on Kaptain Skurvy, I wanted to make a custom take on General Klump! I felt Klump would be a great thing to draw for Memorial Day, as well as to pay tribute to all of our troops in the US Army and my late grandfather who was a war veteran. The friendship dynamic between Klump and Dixie Kong was actually very heartwarming even though they had to spend the rest of the series separated after K. Rool readmitted him under his rule. I'd like to think Klump and Dixie still hang out with each other in secret. Maybe they'd even form an uncle-and-niece relationship! I might consider building up on this in the future with some short sketch dumps and one-shots. I was bored and wanted to do a quick crossover doodle mixing Fatgum and Spiderman together. Who knew Peter Parker and Taishiro Toyomitsu could prove to be a good fusion! Or maybe in this case, Tai Parker or Pete Toyomitsu? Who knows? I also doodled this because there is this Spiderman cosplay pattern I kept trying to find on the internet so I could purchase a copy of the pattern and have it sewn for a potential cosplay, but when I found the pattern and its creator, I couldn't buy it. This led me to believe that the creator closed their account or shop and the pattern no longer exists.
