The many faces of Andrew Hozier-Byrne! Drew these from his interview with Lewis Howes which was so lovely! Also if you haven’t listened to Wasteland, Baby! Extended, go do it 🫵
So, we contrasted No Plan with the common Carpe Diem motif when reading Dead Poets Society and a few weeks ago we spoke about colonialism and analysed Butchered Tongue.
Looking forward to more opportunities to bring his music into the classroom 🖤
The joys of analysing Hozier's songs like they are the poems in my engish class
hey. i really love your work!! please keep writing (whenever you want and can of course!) 💗
You know…I’m struggling so much right now. And not only because time is a real luxury at the moment. But I find that my personal and work life are draining me so much that my brain is not in the right mindset to write when I finally find a moment to actually sit down. I know exactly what I want to write, the chapter is lined out, the dialogue is finished, but I just can’t bring myself to piece it all together. And that frustrates me to a point that I start doubting my writing abilities as such. Even thinking about it this very instant makes me want to cry.
Also the lack of interaction here doesn’t help either. So I’m glad that you reached out to send me this beacon of kind words. Thank you, anon. This means so, so much. 🖤
❝ ...this maybe is what's most important to me, is that the music I want to make and the music I feel moved to make does not necessarily belong in the spaces of the top ten. ❞
❝ Have you ever thought about that? How to navigate a long career with such a big hit early on, and not let needing to chase downloads, or streams, or charts be the driver for you like your first single? ❞ (x)
