#my ramblings #bocchi the rock #no fr tho. please read flashbackers!! it's so good! #it's a ryokita doujin made by one of my fave artist and everything about it is just...so great. I can't express it enough #whether you ship ryokita or not it's still a good read! like really it's well articulated and goes in depth about ryo & kita's relationship #and acknowledges how unhealthy it is but the realization of this makes the both of them understand each other more clearly without- #-seeing through rose colored glasses. I just- ughhh! I'm not good with words and I can't stress it enough so once again please read this! #you can really tell how much this artist is passionate and dedicated about the ship #not only that but how they color the cover page (and their art in general) is JUST SO CATCHING! LITERAL EYE CANDY! #and the pacing and panelling of the story is well thought out plus the equal balance of humor and angst is so entertaining & heart wrenchin #and their art style... fricking adorable and expressive and striking!! Just grrr!! I LOVE THIS ARTIST'S WORK SO MUCH!!! #I'm not that particularly crazy about ryokita but they are very interesting to explore and could have some potential if they worked out- #-their own flaws. I've been meaning to draw them sometime (if only I could start posting decent bnj art- #-tfw hyper fixation so strong it overwhelms you and in turn can't make fanart of it even if you most definitely WANT TO) #ehem. anyways I think it's quite criminal that ryokita was one of the least popular btr ships #in other story. Every day I'm contemplating it but at the same time I stand by the thought that I despise updates

I actually haven't updated my tumblr app in like... 4 years??? lmao idk why but I just refuse to do so when I keep seeing posts on how tumblr updates are utter garbage. Even when they introduced the poll update I'm just freaking stubborn and ignored it but felt kinda left out when I'm unable to see or vote on polls on my dash ever since. The only way I see polls is to go on desktop which I rather do on PC but m just lazy to do so

Tho not too happy with using the desktop version either cuz of its twt lookalike design 😑

Well, so far I can still see posts fine on my dashboard (aside from not seeing polls) but lately the "recommend for you" disappeared which is kinda bummer since that's where I wanna see random posts

Flashbacker is my favorite album-only Kessoku Band song cuz I'm such a sucker for melancholic songs but also it can be a song premise for a very angsty "a member of Kessoku Band dies AU" . Primarily I'm thinking of a "Bocchi dies AU" where she lost her life cuz of some accident, and Flashbacker is the last song she wrote. Heck, she probably even record herself playing it on her guitar or even singing a bit of the song before her passing then Kessoku Band found out about it later on. And after like, months of mourning, they held another concert as a tribute to their late lead guitarist Hitori and dedicate the song "Flashbacker" to her

I imagine that performance to be exactly like this ^ and good GOD it just tugs at the heartstrings

Like..... the pause before the last verse gives me goosebumps and Ikumi (Kita's VA) almost sounds like she's crying. I could even imagine that Kita too and the rest of Kessoku Band would get really emotional during the performance (I'd like to think it'll mostly be Nijika but nobody noticed it till the end and cuz she's at the back and trying to focus on drumming but can't help bursting in tears at the last verse)

Only just know this that apparently Maka admiring/yearning to see Crona's smile

is not just present in the anime but also in the manga

-well not really within the story but on a 100th chapter celebration thingy and it's basically Maka's in-character comment on a Crona fanart

But like... y'all know they both haven't seen each other for a period of time and when the moment Maka finally heard news about them and found out what they've done, despite it all she just wanted to see Crona again and when she try to search for them through her soul perception (all over the world btw)

the image in her mind is Crona smiling... like, she just wanted to see their cute smile again 😭😭😭

Also not only that, Crona also remembers Maka's smile despite being brainwashed by Medusa/deep into madness

Every once in a while I learn something new about croma and I go insane all over again. This ship has a death grip on me good LORD

I haven't posted here in a while but I wanna ramble something after having an epiphany

All my life, I thought drawing poses based on references are hard & impossible af but today I finally learned to stop being a FUCKING stuck up about drawing "freeform" and start drawing with bases like circles and blocks and all that geometrical shapes stuff I heard from tutorials, and let me tell it fuckin hit me that it's SOOO much more easier to draw with bases good lord

#the bottom pose took me like I dunno 15 whole minutes trying to sketch it freeform until I gave up #until like a few minutes I'm like you know what? I'll try to start with a base this time and see how it'll look. How bad can it be...? #*after drawing the first base realization hits and I literally took a whole minute staring at it- #-dumbfounded thinking it's the most decent base I've ever drawn in a long time* #unbelievably life changing atm #I know I'm still rusty and obv it's another challenge to draw the line art/final details but at least it's not so time consuming anymore #to draw the first base so it's probably more tolerable to practice drawing poses next time #also this means I'm such a fake artist lol watches tutorials but doesn't try the tips I got from it 🤡🤡🤡
