v. sexuality: Iā€™m part of the directory of the equal rights association of my university. Many people, especially lately, believe that it is necessary to step out and declare oneā€™s own sexuality unapologetically and with a smile on their face, to give courage to the ones that have not yet accepted themselves. It is a beautiful concept, but itā€™s not for me. I make the choice not to disclose too much, since I donā€™t oweĀ informations on my private life to strangers.Ā 
I am comfortable with myself and happy, and Iā€™ll be down to march / support / do whatever I can to help the community. Simply, I donā€™t wish to give much details to strangers.
vi. hogwarts house:Ā Hufflepuff and proud! On Pottermore I was a Hatstall between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, and I chose Ravenclaw because of some stereotypes I held against Hufflepuffs. Nowadays I have no doubts that Iā€™d choose Hufflepuff!Ā 
vii. favorite animal:Ā Cows! Theyā€™re gentle giants.
viii. average amount of hours of sleep: I have relatively healthy sleep patterns when Iā€™m home; when Iā€™m living on campus, it truly depends...

xi. dream trip:Ā Iran and Japan are the first two that popped up in my mind! Still, I would love to see the Turkish Aegean Coast, visit my friends who live nearby and practice the language.
xii. dream job:Ā In a world where both careers were not a Russian roulette, journalist and musician. But Iā€™d love to work for an ONG, mostly concerning topics of equality and education.
xiii. when i made this account: I made it some months ago, then stopped completely... Since now I will be studying abroad, I guess I will have more to share, so I wanted to give studyblr-ing another try!

How to Feign Your Life is Together
Have a signature accessory, clothing article, make up look, or hair style.
Have a fragrance. Make your hair scents and lotions match your perfume.
Itā€™s okay to dine alone. Bring a book or people watch.
Love your hair. Research the best brands for your hair type and use masks weekly.
Your nails donā€™t need to be fancy, but keep them maintained.
Stay worldly. Know works of art, artists, designers, films, books, politicians. Spend your lunch break reading the paper or a magazine.
Crying is not a weapon. Itā€™s okay to feel your emotions, but never use them as an excuse to avoid your problems.
Jealousy is boring. Love and appreciate others. If you canā€™t love them, forget them.
Boost others. Flatter others, but donā€™t deprecate yourself in the process.
Donā€™t sulk. Donā€™t let the whole world know your problems. If you donā€™t want someone to give their opinion, donā€™t share your situation.

Good news: Iā€™m on week 4 of learning Japanese and I havenā€™t given up yet! This is the grammar book I bought. I like it so far, the explanations are short and precise and it comes with lots of example sentences. I also use Lingodeer, a lot of different online resources, and a trusty Japanese friend to help me through the maze. (It really does feel like a maze at the momentā€¦)

12:12pm: moved down to the conservatory for a change of scene and a less cluttered desk. Iā€™m slowly moving through the topics now ā€” my main focus is to cover everything once, and then my plan for the next few weeks is to make sure I go over everything multiple times. Thatā€™s the key to memorising material that is a little dry.

100 Days of Productivity - Biblioteca Marucelliana, Florence.
This library dates back to 1752. It is also referred asĀ ā€œthe most ancient democratic libraryā€, as it was the first of its kind to open its doors even to the deprived sectors of society. On its faƧade you can read the Latin sentence:Ā ā€œMARVCELLORVM BIBLIOTECA PUBLICƆ MAXIME PAVPERVM VTILITATIā€, which stands forĀ ā€œThe library of the Marucellis, for the public use, mostly for the poorā€.
I decided to complement these pictures with a quote by Vittorio Alfieri, an Italian author that was born three years prior to the establishment of Biblioteca Marucelliana.Ā ā€œVolli, e volli sempre, e fortissimamente volliā€ meansĀ ā€œAnd I willed, and always willed, and passionately willedā€: the author referred to the time he would chain himself to the chair in order to study, and even shaved half of his hair off in order to look ridiculous and thus avoid leaving home altogether. Of course, thatā€™s far from being considerate towards your own well-being: still, the fortissimamente volliĀ of Alfieri is a mantra that can remind you how far strength of purpose can take you.

just wanted to put a little something together because we all get pooped at the end of a busy busy weekĀ 
i. face masks!!! after my skin routine at night, if iā€™m feeling like i need a little treat, iā€™ll whip out a cute little face mask to calm my skin as i read a book / scroll through social media / take a little nap on my bed.Ā 
my favorite brands are mediheal (they have super cute line collabs), nature republic, and papa recipe (the honey mask smells AMAZING), but if youā€™re feeling a little bougie, go for the dr. jart rubber mask (hydration is my favorite) or the jayjun real water brightening black mask.
2. calming musicĀ  i love listening to lofi music or instrumentals - especially piano or cello. bonus is if itā€™s a kpop song cover. and when i mean listening to music, i seriously mean just finding a comfortable place to sit or lie and just be there, with the music of your choice. if you have a designated calming playlist, perfect! because thatā€™s all you really need. youtube has great compilations (1, 2) and my favorite piano covers are created by funguypiano, doopiano, and smyang!
3. watch something
watch an episode of your favorite show, vlive, or some youtube (since i donā€™t watch tv anymore, i somehow always end up on vlive and then youtube afterwards). but donā€™t forget toĀ set a time limit,Ā maybe an hour max. remember, binge sessions will only add stress.
4. read a bookĀ  get in the zone for some peace and quiet. thereā€™s not much to say except to find a place to chill and get some of that reading going. hereā€™s my goodreads if anyone is interested!
5. take a walkĀ  after dinner, walking around your neighborhood is a great way to digest. i like to take around thirty minutes without any electronics and stroll around. try not to listen to music. instead, listen to the world around you. enjoy the little thingsā€“the cicadas chirping, the laughter of kids, the wind blowing pastā€“and just observe.Ā 
6. exerciseĀ  as everyone knows, exercises releases endorphins. personally, i love running in nature so i get to embrace my surroundings and enjoy the view while i work out my body! remember to curate a playlist so you can always jam out whether your working out at the gym or outside.Ā 
7. hang out with friends considering itā€™s the end of a long week, meeting up with friends over a meal or dinner is a lovely way to vent and get everything out. talking is a great way to destress, and when there is someone you trust listening, the entire process is extremely therapeutic.Ā 
8. clean and declutter yes. do it. because cleaning and working is a destress mechanism even though it is more work. having a fresh room or work area will also freshen up and clear your mind. your environment reflects your inner thoughts, so tidying up your belongings will inspire you to refresh your mind for a new week!!!
9. createĀ  this can mean anything including doodles, collages, printing pictures, scrap booking, or writing. similar to talking to a friend, having an outlet to brain dump all the jumbled thoughts has a cleansing effect. grab a blank notebook and get everything out in any form you prefer. (on another note, iā€™ve been meaning to try outĀ morning pages. it seems super helpful for practicing mindfulness)

A stop-motion video of my Accounting notes. How pretty they are, but how much toil do pastel colors hide!
I decided to try writing downĀ ā€œaesthetic notesā€ for this exam because of how demotivated I felt when opening up the book, facing concepts that I felt were so far away from my actual field of study.Ā 
I entertained myself with pastel colors, and did exercises swapping names and activities for each company. I found myself giggling while analyzing the balance sheet of Jack Kerouacā€™s coast-to-coast driving agency, and I explored whatever weird scenario that could keep me awake: what would happen to a pet-cuddling companyā€™s balance sheet if its koalas leaped out their way to freedom?
Weā€™re all passionate, but sometimes we must find odd and goofy ways to spark our interest again.Ā
