I was looking at some XDU cards and i noticed something in the hibiki and miku with wedding dress cards. The last art of their cards seems to complete each other, like if you put them side by side with hibiki's card on the left and miku's on the right it looks like they are looking at eachother not the player, as if the player was actually their pov (miku's card is hibiki's pov and hibiki's card is miku's pov) while looking at eachother, idk if im just crazy or if its my brain filled with hibimiku seeing things, i just wanted to share this.

Oh don't worry, back when the cards released the idea that they were reaching for each other was a pretty popular one. Especially since they're the only two in the set doing it

comparing sympho to the yoi movie is wild to me too because sympho has always been a passion project and involved a ridiculous amount of well-known and talented people. I know there's a bigger, worldwide hype for yoi but behind-the-scenes sympho has more to support itself staff-wise. People wanted to make it happen and it happened because of this self-hype by the creators. Budget-wise I think the 2020 live, the pachinslot and the 10th anniversary expo racked money too

Meanwhile, last year the MAPPA CEO had talked about how YOI didn't really make them money despite its success (I'm guessing this is related to how the production committee and their contracts were set up?), so I figured that they had probably quietly canned it a while ago

I saw some fans (including on the JP side) already worried about the Symphogear movie because of the news about the YOI movie cancelation, but...well, for starters it's too early to panic yet. The movie was just confirmed to be a thing less than half a year ago as opposed to 7 years ago. Not having more info at this point is pretty normal

I can't speak for what may happen in the future, but the situations are a bit different. For starters we don't have uh...complete and total silence about the franchise.

Even with XD Unlimited having ended service earlier this year, Gear thankfully still has a couple other things keeping it afloat for now

The manga spinoff, Shirabe Meshi, started in 2021 and is still ongoing with new chapters released monthly (with a few exceptions, it recently had a small hiatus due to the artist catching the flu) and has four volumes so far.

The next update, which should be the first half of chapter 30, is scheduled for next week

Then there's the pachislot machines, which are strangely popular among people who have never seen the anime to the point some people don't even know they're based on one. A new machine (they're still on AXZ material) is coming out soon

And then there's the fact we know that one of the co-creators, Akifumi Kaneko (who is also the writer of the series), has been trying to both design and write a new RPG (the other co-creator, Noriyasu Agematsu, is one of the composers for the game) so at least we have an idea of why news might take a while.

GX site is finally back up after being down over a month

Okaaaay, so the G, GX, and AXZ official sites are all currently down (the GX one has been down for daaaays), while the season 1 and XV sites are currently fine

Giggling because I'm just sitting here like, man, I love the whole Symphogear cast...Chris attempted kidnapping, Maria, Kirika, and Shirabe were thrown in prison for terrorism, Hibiki got put on house arrest for breaking an order from the government (it was just house arrest because it was an emergency), Tsubasa was arrested for helping kidnap someone (she wasn't entirely in control though)

...yeah, they may have committed some crimes 🤣

Once again thinking about how the Beef Stroganoff Song of all things was the thing that somehow found its way outside of the Symphogear fandom and there are people who get mad at it for being a terrible recipe without knowing that it ended up sucking 😂😂😂
