This is a somewhat biased hot take but I'm actually bored of the 'c!technoblade had no choice!! C!schlatt used him as a weapon!!' Like uh.

This is biased because in one of my favorite stories ever the protagonist is literally brainwashes via trigger word to disintegrate an entire City. We Watch on Screen a child drown in mud. Like its in a chibi anime style so its not graphic as it couldce been but it was still bad enough that at the time the EU was like ahahaha no thanks to it veing localized there.

And you know what! The other characters do Not give the protagonist free rain to jsut pretend it didnt happen. It Actively changes the characters' opinions on the protag and he takes that into account. He actively tries to do better so the same thing doesnt happen again.

So when I see people say technoblade has no responsibility for what happened or owes tubbo an apology becaise schlatt 'made' him do it I just. Remember a story where the protagonist ACTUALLY didn't have any control of the situation but still tried to make it better in the end.

I mean, we have that same thing in the Dream SMP canon as well with the Eggpire plotline. The Eggpire did exactly what Techno did: publicly execute someone. And they were being mind-controlled by the Egg. But now they are free and Ant was absolutely horrified by what he'd done and BBH was mostly in denial, but he also apologized. Also Puffy didn't let either of them get off scot-free.

Mind you: they were literally being mind-controlled and it's still canonically recognized that they're in part to be blamed for their own actions.

Why is Techno being pressured any difference? It's fine to say that he felt like he had no choice because he probably did. But that doesn't excuse him from the responsibility for his actions. That doesn't exempt him from owing Tubbo an apology at the bare minimum. That doesn't make him fighting Tommy in the pit afterward for it as an excuse not to apologize anymore okay.

Basically: "Your honor, I was peer-pressured into murder" is not a valid excuse.

i think the most exciting thing about the benchtrio meetup for me is how tommy will react to ranboo's sheer irl power. not only is he taller, he has more energy - like, we all saw the wii stream. ranboo is a bendy and bouncy boy armed with a Tubbo Protector badge and a (not stomped on) nerf gun. i'm afraid to say jealousinnit stands no chance

i know ranboo has said that he’s really expressive with his movements, but nothing could’ve prepared me for actually seeing him on-camera like this. he moves like a rubber hose cartoon character. i wouldn’t be surprised if he had the ability to hover in the air for a second before falling for maximum comic effect. tubbo’s going to bonk him over the head and little birds and stars are going to manifest around him. i refuse to believe he isn’t a toon that escaped containment.

techno has canonically noted that dream and dreamxd share the same face.

the book is usually used during a resurrection ritual- implying that the wish is resurrection.
