ā¦. I literally needed this so badly ten hours ago
My face is having uncontrollable spasms. Great. It hurts really, really, really bad.
I think part of why I have trouble explaining pain to the doctor is when they ask about the pain scale I always think āWell, if someone threw me down a flight of stairs right now or punched me a few times, it would definitely hurt a lot moreā so I end up saying a low number. I was reading an article that said that ā10ā is the most commonly reported number and that is baffling to me. When I woke up from surgery with an 8" incision in my body and I could hardly even speak, I was in the most horrific pain of my life but I said ā6ā because I thought āWell, if you hit me in the stomach, it would be worse.ā

Secret third thing: Taylor is the albatross, but is she truly a curse, or is that only what the public says? Because the albatross wasnāt originally a curse, remember ā it was good luck! It was protecting them! It only became one when they killed it
āThe Albatrossā immediately made me think of āThe Rime of the Ancient Marinerā by Samuel Taylor Coleridge ā a ballad that tells the story of a ship that cursed itself when the captain shot and killed an albatross that had been helping to lead the ship out of danger. Samuel Taylor Coleridge was one of the early poets of the Romantic period, aka the Lake Poets that Taylor references on āthe lakes.ā I am fascinated by that potential connection. Thereās room for some really cool plays on words and meanings, because thereās also the phrase āan albatross around your neck,ā meaning a heavy burden thatās weighing you down (this comes from the poem actually ā the Mariner who shot the albatross is forced to wear its corpse around his neck as punishment).
Iām just wondering, is the relationship the albatross, and if it is, is it the sacred kind or the burdensome kind? Taylor certainly did feel that it led her out of a very dangerous time in her life. Perhaps she has always thought it to be the former but now itās starting to feel like the latter, but sheās afraid to āshoot it downā and end it because what if it is sacred? What if in doing so sheāll curse herself irrevocably? Or maybe she has ended it, and is struggling in the aftermath of its end and wondering if she did the right thing? And thereās also the Coleridge connection ā she very much associated the Lake Poets with running away and disappearing with her muse, an idea that she had romanticized and held sacred in the past but that recently she seems to have rethought and realized isnāt how she wants to live her life. Maybe thatās the albatross ā that lifestyle was once sacred to her (āsacred new beginnings that became my religionā), but something killed it and it became a burden hanging around her neck.
Much to think about.

So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said ādonāt follow me if we never even had a conversation beforeā and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????
Iāve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now Iām wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that itās totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if weāve never talked before.
Also, Iām legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like itās common sense but is that really a thing?
