Hi! I'm sure you've gotten this ask a thousand times already, but could you recommend any books/ websites to learn more about astrology? I've got the basics down, but I have a hard time understanding how the signs, planets and all that interact with each other.

hii! don't worry about it nobody has actually asked before! an app that i really like is timepassages even though it has the ugliest design lmao it gives very good descriptions about aspects like most websites will just name your chart's aspects but they will not explain them and this one actually does! they also have a quick guide for terms and stuff like that in there if you're interested. books wise.... i found astrology and the authentic self (that's an epub) very helpful although it's mostly a formative book for practicing astrologers and hellenistic astrology (another pdf) of which i have only read a couple chapters but it's very interesting! it's also focused on the history of astrology if ur into that but the first book might be more what you're looking for. i feel like you'll get better at it the more you put it in practice so before anything explore your own chart, your friend's etc so you can apply what you know in a much more tangible way. and again i feel like i'm always repeating this but i am by no means an expert i know astrology in a very casual way and i don't have a lot of time or interest to study it seriously so maybe someone more experieced can give you a larger list of resources, much more personal, contrasted, researched etc

Hi! Sorry if this sounds weird, but is it normal that I don't relate to my rising sign at all? I'm definitely a Gemini rising at 22 degrees, but I just don't find myself relating to any of the descriptions

hello 💗💗 it is possible of course! there's so many things that influence each placement like maybe you have certain aspects that are completely changing the way your ascendant works. degrees are also said to influence specific parts of the overall expression like the 22 degree is a capricorn degree and it's like a completely different vibe from gemini lol. i feel like with the ascendant it is more important to see how the rest of your houses are configured since we are all 12 signs etc etc. mutable risings too can be so varied from one another they may give a lot more freedom or unconformity to your self. your chart ruler (mercury) can also be worth looking at! this is a very wide topic honestly like astrology doesn't really ever give you information in its purest form. there's also many people who say that you become more your rising sign as you grow older and personally i used to not really enjoy having an aries rising before because i don't really like aries as a sign but i have actually become a Lot like them like unconsciously so i don't really know some things come into our lives when we least expect them and astrology is a very good tool for self discovery i don't know!! this is unnecessary long!!!! sorry lol
