Heaven has had enough.

It was clear, now more than ever, that the forces of Hell had become much too powerful. They found a way to not only fight back and fend off the yearly exterminations, but also how to kill angels. That could not be ignored. Unlike before, however, destruction is not brought about by slicing stabbing spears. A new form of combat is brought to the field: one that has never been used before due to how cruel and unfair it is.

Chemical warfare.

On each exterminator's back rested a tank, filled with a magenta colored gas that they unleash once they're closer to the ground. It might not be so bad if it were just a few of them—but every single angel has one, and there are hundreds of thousands of them. Their masks protect them from the chemical they're spilling into Hell's streets.

The way it affects demons who manage to inhale it varies based on who it comes into contact with. Some aren't affected at all. Some, especially Overlords, lose whatever powers they previously had. Others suffocate and die from inhaling the fumes, or break out in boils, or begin bleeding from every pore. The worst of them, however, become twisted into beings that aren't recognizable anymore; shambling mutations of their former selves that can no longer distinguish friend from foe.

There is no way to get rid of the gas. Once it's been spilled, it lingers like a toxic fog over the landscape, filling the streets with its sickly purple-red hue. Those that had been indoors during this latest extermination are advised to find a way to protect themselves from inhaling it. It's also a wise idea to have the means to defend oneself against the mutated husks wandering the streets. Survival has been made substantially more difficult, and it doesn't seem as though it'll be getting better any time soon.

This is a post-apocalyptic RP server set in the Hazbin Hotel / Helluva Boss universe. Both canon and original characters are welcome, though only one of each canon character is allowed. Each person is limited to two canon characters and two original characters (for a total of four characters overall).
