For those who had a bad day:
there’s no shame in going to sleep earlier than normal; no shame in leaving your room messy and it’s definitely okay to leave some emails/messages/calls unanswered. if you need today to end earlier, IT’S OKAY. you can sort your life out tomorrow

People often mistake “your feelings are valid” with “your reaction based on your feelings is ok”
Which isn’t the same thing
You’re entitled to how you feel. You’re not entitled to behave however you want based off of those feelings

hi let's go
song asks that get progressively more specific
A song that reminds you of your childhood
A song to sleep to
A song that your best friend loves
A song that hypes you the fuck up
A song you like to daydream to
A song that’s on at least 3 of your playlists
A song that you love from a genre you don’t usually like
A song that you liked when you where 10 that still slaps
A song that makes you want to go on an adventure
A song you’d want to dance with your partner to ( or future partner )
A song to stomp around and pout to
A song to listen to whilst you lie in a meadow
A song that reflects your views on love
A song to sing to the sun
A song you like that sounds like its on the soundtrack to an indie coming of age film
A song that you like that romanticises being a teenager
A song that makes you want to grab your friends jump up and down dancing and screaming the lyrics
A song that you like that the lyrics are just so beautiful they’re practically poetry
A song that you can imagine listening to in an abandoned church ( if it isn’t hozier im judging you, but whatever )
A song from the soundtrack of a film that you like so much after the film finished you immediately looked for it
A song for when the sun has gone down and you are feeling absolutely buck-wild with exhilaration!
A song that makes you feel like you’re strolling through Ancient Greece living your best life
A song that when you listen to it you’re transported to a liminal space, time is pointless and you must sit and wallow in the void that remains
A song to listen to on a long drive when you have the really strong urge to keep driving until you find somewhere to start a new life (preferably a europian city whose language you don’t speak)

when patroclus said “i could recognize him by touch alone, by smell, i would know him blind, by the way his breath came and his feet struck the earth. i would know him in death, at the end of the world” and “i will never leave him. it will be this, always, for as long as he will let me” and “he is half my soul, as the poets say” and “but the ache for him is stronger than by anger. i want to speak of something not dead or divine. i want him to live.” and when achilles said “swear it. why me? because you’re the reason. swear it” and “when i am dead, i charge you to mingle our ashes and bury us together” i had no choice but to burst into tears

meaningful and deep relationships require difficult conversations. often unpleasant conversations about how we can improve and how we can be better friends, siblings or partners to the people around us. special bonds aren’t entirely made of good moments, but the moments that were hard and yet you still made it through because you care about the other person.
