I think one of reasons we develop trust issues is that as a child, no matter how times our caregiver/parent apologized for hurting us again we trusted that they would change and this time would be the last time...but is wasn’t

You how there are great extrovert-intrivert friendships? I feel like that's the type of friendship me and my best friend are supposed to have. Except somewhere along the way, my depression began taking hold of me. I threw off the dynamic by no longer being able to be extroverted.

We're still best freinds but I feel like we would be aot closer of I wasn't so depressed.

I have no idea how to cultivate relationships if I don’t see you in person often. The only place I see the same people is work which has a high employee turnover rate. So if someone I like or I’m cool with quits, then that’s it. I don’t see them again and even if I have a way to communicate with them, idk what to talk about.

And stop with the John Walker, Homelander comparison. Homelander is a man-child who was literally treated like a lab rat as a kid. He’s the equivalent of a 5 year old thinking he rules the world, deserves every twisted thing he wants, and cares for no one but himself.

John Walker is a soldier who cares for his team, cares for his family, but was bred for war. He’s a good soldier which makes him a bad Captain America but not a bad person.

Y’all really only hate John Walker because he doesn’t have a fleshed out back story.

He immediately regretted his decision after killing that man but he had to double down and stand by his actions to keep himself sane. A lot of us do the same thing, we make a mistake and instead of admitting to it we rationalize it because it’s easier; the bigger the mistake, the more likely we are to rationalize it.
