Dude, I’m STOKED!!! And touched. It’s not enough to pan out GODSPEED in a challenge to Warner’s horrible greed that’s spreading in corporate big wigs, but to have this continuation on the horizon? With Warner agreeing (however grudgingly), and then immediately hitting the first wave in 28 hours??? WOW. What’s not to be excited about???!

In all seriousness, I knew Olan would find a way to finish this - rather, to bring his fans a conclusion to this epic journey he clearly cares so much for cause it’s his BABY - but the speed….Hats off to him, his dedication is beyond impressive. Warner really didn’t deserve him or Final Space.

I worry for his health (as much as a simple fan can do so behind screens and in a fandom setting), but it’s inspirational that he backs up what he preaches, on and off screen. He never gives up. All of his content, no matter how dark it can get, his work and ideas, they all always have this element of hope that gets tested and stretched but never dies. An inherent goodness that’s worth fighting for…I grew up with shows like that. It feels rare nowadays, whatever bias that comes with. I’m so glad we can get more of that from him and final space. It broke me out of a bad block and I’m so grateful for this story and his drive. I think I’ll be a fan for life.

But yes, I’ll happily buy the next batch up for pre-order, signed or not, when I get my returns. And yes I’ll probably post about it - I already want to draw again for it, so I can’t imagine it won’t be a lightning bolt of creative inspiration. Godspeed, Olan!

I think a long time ago in your old twitter you drew some doodles based on sum of your FS AUs at the time, and i tried looking for it but i couldn't find so if there's any chance you have somewhere with you, could you repost here? I remember specifically 2 about the Teen Gary AU where in 1 he tells Avocato he's one of the most capaple person of the ship just for Avocato to tell him that his hand is atuck in a cookie jar, so Gary says "i want my cookies. I am getting my cookies" and the other one was Gary saying he's a bad boy and Little Cato tells him that he saw him sleeping with a teddy bear.

controversial opinion but bringing characters back from the dead is fine and doesn’t cheapen the existence of death and mortality if there are sufficient emotional and narrative consequences. i’m talking guilt, i’m talking lingering resentment and grief, i’m talking rejection from those who’ve already begun to move on, i’m talking complicated feelings about being returned to a life you departed from without grace or preparation without your consent and now have to deal with the fallout of, i’m talking repressed feelings that cannot be acknowledged without hurting everyone involved, because you can bring back what was lost but what happened cannot be undone. and that’s why i could fight marvel studios and win.
