Nobody else seems to notice the absence of movement; the constable is watching the sun disappear beyond the horizon and the beach below is empty so late in the evening.

Sherlock tries to stay calm, but he can hear his heart rate accelerating at an alarming rate. Before he knows what he’s doing, he‘s running down to the beach, ignoring the sand that somehow finds its way into his shoes and then the icy water washing around his ankles as he splashes into the ocean.

The only thing about the middle name thing is that if he hated his middle name why would he suggest it sarcastically as a baby name in asib? Surely he wouldn’t want to bring up the name of his abusive father in casual conversation like that. Idk, just a thought. Tbh I do quite like the ‘abusive/drunk father’ headcannon :)
