Alright Ciao Poveglia fans.... did you know that Dr. Deittman’s team is officially getting a podcast? That’s right! On August 26th, join Ash and teammate JB (because Ash can’t be left in charge without setting something on fire...) as they set off on different investigations each episode! There are thirteen episodes in total, airing every other week on Fridays wherever you listen to podcasts! I have no idea how people are still managing to find Ciao Poveglia, but here we are! I’m still receiving reviews and Kudos, and people still keep finding this tumblr page! Happy Hauntings Investigators!

Ciao Povelia fans.... it’s been a while! I’ve been staying busy, as always. You’ll likely start seeing some further updates from me regarding my other projects (I am writing and producing a narrative fiction podcast based around Dr. Deittman’s team, pre-Ciao Poveglia.) It occurred to me that I never shared this!! A good friend of mine has taken up book binding, and she gifted me a copy of Ciao Poveglia to display next to Echoes and Ashes! (I freely admit and embrace the fact that a fanfic spun my book/TTRPG/podcast series.) I woke up this morning to Kudos on Ciao Poveglia. It never ceases to amaze me how I still get readers, despite the fic being finished SIX YEARS AGO. And in such a niche genre.... If you’re someone who has recently found the story, or someone who has gone back and done a re-read... Concept art! Each of our character classes will have their own ‘tarot card’ style artwork! These are two of our classes and each in the concept stage (so the Pyrokinetic is not finalized, and the Telekinetic will be in color, etc.) But... The Ciao Poveglia fans get the first look at the concept art, as you all are the ones who will likely recognize the characters first! (The “Echoes and Ashes” readers who have not read Ciao Poveglia aren’t likely to make the connection with the Telekinetic... not yet, at least!) After some thought, we’ve decided to add in another potential stretch goal... Ghost Hunt fandom.... this one is for you! What happens when a character dies? Or if a player wants to experience the game with the inability to communicate with most of the living? Well, they would play as “the Spirit.” This class would be considered neither a Psychic nor an Investigator. It would have entirely unique mechanics... perhaps as a Spirit Guide for another character. Because of the mechanics rewrites that would need to happen, it is currently only set to be included if we hit what we expect to be our highest stretch goal. We launch in just four days! Back cover our “the Deittman Files: a Ghost Hunting RPG” playbook! The limited print version will be a hardback and we think the art by Gabrielle Burke Art will look fantastic in our players’ hands! We have the concept art for two of our classes, and once we have the final art, we will share that too! (The Pyrokinetic - Ash, obviously, and the Telekinetic - Markus, which is really something for just the Ciao Poveglia readers, as the Echoes and Ashes book hasn’t touched on anything of the sort ;) ). Seeing the concept art for Markus makes me chuckle because, in my opinion, the artist has certainly given him a look that is appropriate for a ‘rival’ of Naru! RYAN: [Narration] Today on Buzzfeed Unsolved, we discuss the mysterious death of Dr. Eugene Davis.

SHANE: Eugene?

RYAN: Yeah, Eugene.

SHANE: I only know, like, one other Eugene. When was this?

RYAN: Like, recent. If you’d let me get through the intro…

SHANE: Fine, fine. Go on.

RYAN: As I was saying, today we discuss the mysterious death of Dr. Eugene Davis, one of the most renowned mediums of our time.

SHANE: Medium. Right.

RYAN: Yes, medium. Dr. Davis, known as Gene to his family, has been called the perfect medium–no other person has thus far been able to so accurately communicate with other spirits. Not only could he channel on near demand, but he also showed, on numerous occasions, speaking fluently in languages he did not know.

SHANE: Oh, sure. Like that can’t be faked. This bullshit has been literally faked for hundreds of years. Picking up a few lines in French isn’t exactly convincing. I’ve said it before. All psychics are bullshit.

RYAN: Yeah, fine, maybe not. But how about entire conversations with loved ones in Russian? Or Arabic? Can–can you do that?

SHANE: Just cause–okay, well, you can learn languages. There are people out there who have learned dozens of languages over their life–

RYAN: Did I mention he was sixteen?

SHANE: …

RYAN: Yeah, think about that a bit more. He’s seventeen and apparently he fluently speaks, uh, Japanese, Mandarin, Korean… English, French, Spanish, Italian, Portugese, Russian, Arabic… Like, people have tried to disprove this kid and–

SHANE: Wait you, said Dr. Eugene Davis.

RYAN: Yeah–

SHANE: Doctor?

RYAN: We’ll get to that.

SHANE: Yeah. Okay. I call bullshit now. This is already ridiculous.

RYAN: It gets weirder.

SHANE: Of course it does.

Did I just order wayyyyy too much tea? Maybe. But how am I going to get through the @ghosthunthq Ghost Hunt prompt exchange and finishing the Deittman Files TTRPG without it? (Don’t even get me started on storing this... I think I need a new tea cupboard.) I’m fairly certain I’ve come across Cynthia S. elsewhere in the Ghost Hunt fandom, but I can’t be sure! If you’re seeing this, I can’t wait to try all of the flavors! Quarantine has depleted my massive tea collection, so I stumbled across this at the perfect time!
