The love of my life isn’t a who, it’s a what. It’s music, especially live music.
There’s nothing like experiencing live music. Being at a show surrounded by people who love and appreciate your favorite artists is amazing.
Being able to connect with the artists is such a special and magical experience. It’s indescribable.
I remember that tickets went on sale for the CMMDI tour and then tickets went on sale for her tour with Tim McGraw a short while later.
I bought VIP tickets to both shows and I had no idea what was in store for me.
Last October I was able to share my story with her about how “29” inspired me to chase my dreams.
I had no idea that the silly little headband I asked my sister to make me (I literally came up with the idea the night before the show) would be so impactful.
I decided after the concert that I wanted to get my first tattoo (It says 29 Made Me Do It) in time to show it to her at the concert last night.
The VIP session got really emotional. People were telling stories about the death of loved ones and break-ups, etc. so everyone was pretty much already crying.
I politely asked her if I could show her something. I walked up to her and showed her the tattoo (she remembered me from the last show). I explained my reasoning for being inspired and encouraged by a song that was so deeply personal about the toughest time in her life. I cried and she cried. 😭
She’s truly an inspiration to me. Female tenacity and triumph are everything to me. Every time I look at my arm, I’m reminded that I can get through anything. It’s a reminder that I can and I will overcome anything life throws at me.
“Twenty-nine. By now, I thought I’d have it figured out. But I’ve never felt as lost as I do now. And everybody says, you’re only twenty-nine, but I feel like I’m running out of time. If youth is wasted on the young, have I wasted mine? ‘Cause for me, twenty-nine is the year that I got married and divorced. I held on for dear life, but I still fell off the horse. From a Miss to a Mrs. then the other way around. The year I was gonna live it up. Now I’m never gonna live it down.”
reblog and put in the tags a movie or show that you love and watch for nostalgia/familiarity/comfort reasons, but that you know you wouldn’t like if you watched it for the first time today
