Saw Fredrikson and Kiki like this and I thought this would be worth a post.
A good comparison of normal violet and normal cinnamon violet.
The cinnamon gene turns normally dark patterns into a light brownish... Well, cinnamon colored shade. It is recessive mutation and also sex linked, which means that both parents needs to have this allele in order it to be visible on male offsprings. Females only need one copy of this allele. Ahh.. Genetics. 👌🏻
And I was surprised when Kiki turned out to be a cinnamon! Because I didn't know that his daddy Milo would have the cinnamon gene within him. 🥰
I doubt that any of my birds know their names because they live in a flock, but of course I try very hard to call them by name every now and then... 🙃
This is Pami. My Pam. My bestest Päm. 💙 I've had him since 2018. He was purchased from the pet shop and back then he still had his baby bars. 🥺💙
And this morning I saw Pami sitting near me and I did my usual chant for him.
The flock was so damn loud because I had just opened the curtains. But I think Pami still found my voice worth something. I think he might have heard his name. Because he turned to me. And he said...
"You're late, human. Where is the morning salad and fresh bread?"
I can offer you another very similar video without the cute music, which I hope you will enjoy because the birds are really loud in this one. As they were also in the previous one but I don't have it anymore. 🥺🙏🏻
