I feel like I can't even share my hcs in my own discord with friends without someone twisting them around and then getting more attention from what was obviously inspired by me 😅😅😅 i can't even promote my friends and I's collabs and mutual hcs about a character and religion that is so important to them and the sucky thing is you write a Jewish character and get no attention but write about Christianity and wow everyone suddenly loves religious exploration. My friend can't even write their own fics without people nearly copying their plot points word for word and then getting mad when ppl suggest it was stolen intellectual property there is a thief in this place yall its ghetto and me and Cas are tired actually 😅 because even after leaving tumblr our fics and hcs are still being remorphed and repackaged

It is quite exhausting cause at first when it happened to me. I literally didn’t even care. I didn’t care. But then when it became obvious, & happening more. & then happening more & more to my friends. Then it gets very exhausting to be like. Hey this is literally what nini said. Like. He said this & you were there & you liked it, everyone liked it but then it becomes someone else’s ‘idea’, & y’all like it more now? Make it make sense. Is it cause it’s now more watered down & has less meaning & importance & impact? Because. It’s not your idea in the first place? Think about it. Sleep on it. Cause to me the intentions seem obvious.

Also we really don't care if ppl get inspired by our hcs what bothers us, me especially, is ever since I started promoting my original ideas ppl on tumblr have always gotten more attention from MY hcs. They get more requests, they get more anons, from an idea I gave them. And instead of ever crediting me they've always just played along as if it was there intellectual property in the first place

At least when I was on tumblr I could call it out more often so ppl had the decency to start tagging me when they used ideas inspired by me, but now that I'm gone I've begun seeing shit that is obviously inspired by me blow up and get hella attention and whats worse than that is seeing ppl say "this is my original hc btw" and whenever you say: no I don't think it is. There's a million excuses as to why I'm wrong and no that is original and no its not my idea

And now it's happening to Cas too and it started happening when someone wrote a fic that was literally Cas's fic word for word and Cas was barely even tagged for inspiration. It keeps happening to us and its bs because we're not even on tumblr to go: that sounds a lot like my fic actually

Literally could have not said it better myself. We have had the discussion of hcing what you want for a while now especially when it comes to not crawling up peoples asses about it. But then when you’re trying to second hand sell ideas from people who have expressed many times how important these ideas are, & are hailed as a child genius? Hmmmm. Hm. It was questionable at first but now it’s just a fact. & there wouldn’t be any issue if it was just inspiration but now it’s like. Copy & paste almost.
