Karie would smile again as he watched and heard Ann differentiate between the two of them. Hugging Ann again as he walked over to Solaris with her in his arms. Doing his best to kiss the Charizard on the cheek.

"She's already growing up so fast Sol. She seems to understand almost everything I'm saying to her as well." He would say, grinning a bit

"Won't be long before she's fully talking if you ask me."

Solaris, who was in the other room, turned around to see Karie and Ann standing behind him. He leaned down a little to be at Ann's level. "What's up?" He asked.

It wouldn't take too long for Solaris to figure out what was up. "Da," she said again, pointing up at Karie. While the Charizard was expecting to hear her parrot the word again, he was surprised when he heard what she said instead.

She then pointed at Solaris. "Da da," she said.

The Charizard stood back up, a big smile on his face. "Her first words... And she can already differentiate us..."

Karie would gasp and smile wide at hearing Ann successfully say ‘Da’. “Oh my gosh you did it Ann! Your first word, that’s right. I am Da.” Karie would chuckle and scoop the Charmander into his arms as he stood up, needing to show Solaris what their daughter could say.

“Solaris! There is something very important that you need to see!” Karie would call as he began to make his way to his mate, wanting him to hear Ann’s first word himself.

Karie couldn’t help but smile as he watch Ann attempt to speak for the first time. At least, it was what he assumed she was trying to do, it made the most sense after all even if it didn’t exactly come out correctly.

“Are you perhaps trying to say ‘Da’ hun?” Karie would ask, tilting his head playfully. Even if he didn’t know if Ann understood what he was saying, he still wanted to talk with her “That was close if so, would you like to try again?”

Karie wouldn’t do much to protest about his current situation. Simply watching Bell as he uses his magic to heat up the pond that he had dragged Karie too. Soon the Typhlosion would follow suit with entering the now heated body of water. Sinking below the surface a bit as he let his body relax.

“Not exactly what I was expecting for time off from the store Bell.” He would eventually say.

Bellum hoists Karie over his shoulder, and walks away from the shop with him.

Why? Because he needs time off.

Karie simply blinks as his brother in law hoists him over his shoulder. Watching helplessly as he is carried away from what he was in the middle of working on. Knowing full well he can’t do anything about it now.

The Flygon would turn away for a moment, her cheeks flushed with a deep red color from the paw smooch and the gifts. She knew today was a day of romance, but she was still more than happy Rivor was showing her such love and attention. Before accepting the gifts she would lean down and plant a kiss on Rivor’s forehead “Happy Valentine’s Day Rivor. You truly do spoil me, you know that?”

Karie would gently return the hug in a way that wouldn’t crush Ann between them while still giving her a comforting embrace. “I love you too Sol. I love both of you so much.” He would softly respond as he closed his eyes. In this moment, he was content and happy. Thankful to be blessed with a loving mate and another child to look after.

Ann let out a giggle as Solaris tickled her, and he smiled wide at the giggling and let out a chuckle. When she saw Karie's paw, she grabbed onto it, then traced her eyes along his arm to make eye contact. The Charmander locked eyes with Karie, staying silent for a moment before she beamed at the Typhlosion.

Solaris smiled, and wrapped his free arm around Karie. "I think you got the Ann stamp of approval." He chuckled.

Karie would beam right back at Ann. His paw gently tickling Ann's claw as he leaned his head against Solaris' side "Looks like it hun. I wonder if she knows just how special she is?" He would ask, continuing to watch his new daughter.

"So, do you think the others will be able to put two and two together when they see her?" He would ask. No doubt her blue flame would be a dead giveaway for who her parents were.

“Ann. It is a wonderful name Sol. It fits her quite well if you ask me.” Katie would say, his eyes going wide at the sight of Ann’s opening for the first time. He couldn’t help but chuckle a bit as he watch Solaris lightly tickle the newly born Char.

“Hi there Ann.” Karie would say softly. A paw coming up to gently grip Ann’s claw “You’re so amazing, you know that?” Admittedly he was feeling overwealmed by emotions, but he was trying his best to keep his composure as to not possibly scare his new daughter

And it was on this day that Solaris felt the egg jump, and saw a fairly large crack in the shell. "K-Karie... Karie! It's happening!"

Karie had been drifting between sleep and consciousness while in bed with Solaris. Though at Solaris' voice he would perk awake. His eyes getting wide at the sight of the large crack in the egg, gripping Solaris' claw as he watched the moment unfold "I'm so excited Sol... To think, our child will be coming into this world..."

Karie couldn’t help but to give as wide of a smile as he could at the sight of the Charmander that had hatched before him. To think, this was his and Solaris’ child. That Eva now had a baby sister, he was as overjoyed a parent could be.

“Her flame, it’s just like mine Sol.” He would say, staring right at the flame at the end of her tail. Of all the things to inherit, the color of his flames wasn’t something he was expecting that could be passed down. His paw would gently grip Solaris’ claw, trying his best to keep from sobbing himself.

“What should we name her Sol? I’ve always been bad at picking names, if you have any in mind I wouldn’t protest.” Karie would ask, still staring at his new daughter.

Bellum brings someone to Karie.

The tall, and wide in wingspan Valkyrie looks around curiously as he does so, looking at all the trinkets Karie has made.

"Karie. Got someone i want you to meet. This is Xossa... its hard to explain, but he's family."

Karie would give Bellum and Xossa a smile when he saw the two. Watching as the Valkyrie looked around his shop and at the objects that Karie had made, seeing if anything would catch his eye

"Well, hello there to you Xossa. I am Karielor, but you may call me Karie. I am Bellum's brother in law, it is a pleasure to meet you."

”I’m so happy as well Sol.” Karie would respond as a paw came up to rub the back of Solaris neck a bit as they embraced. “To think, our child will be coming into the world soon.

Karie was experiencing a cocktail of emotions as he felt the egg along with Solaris. Feeling the egg shift a bit, their child no doubt would hatch before long. He thought of Eva and how her egg was simply left on his shop step. This was different, so very different.

“We’ll have to let everyone know Sol. I’m sure our babe is going ti be quite curious with meeting everyone.” Karie would say. Wondering how Jo and Morello were going to react to this knowledge.

Solaris nodded. "It is, but... I don't understand how... I was under the assumption that we had to be more... Intimate for us to have an egg."

The Charizard sat himself up, and cradled the egg as he thought. "Audie had said that Isaak told him that the way it can work is through an exchange of energy, and that it can happen intentionally or unintentionally. Unless... It was unintentional and it happened during our time spent cuddling last night. That's the only way I can think of..."

Solaris would trail off into thought as he stared at the egg. It wasn't until a bit that the weight of what he was looking at hit him. It was something he had only ever really dreamed of, and definitely something he didn't think would ever happen. Tears started forming in his eyes - tears of happiness - and his tail swooshed lightly back and forth.

"We're... We're having a baby..." He said quietly as he covered his mouth.

Karie would sit up along side Solaris and pull him into a big hug. One that took care to keep the egg he was holding into consideration. He didn't exactly understand what this 'exchanging of energies' fully meant. But whatever it was, he would take it if it meant him and Solaris would become capable of having a baby like this.

"Oh dear Arceus Sol." Karie said, clearly being unable to contain his excitement "To think, little Eva is going to having a sibling along the way." Karie would say as he kept Solaris in his arms. Solaris deserved happiness like this. They both did to be fair, but Solaris was long overdue for some good news for a change.
