Emily Dickinson’s poems transcend time and understanding. Their profound beauty lies in the meanings left between the lines—and hyphens.
Dare to see—Beauty within SelfThrough the Summer Sky.
A bumblebee:Somewhere from the SoulLove speaks of Spring.
Perhaps,If thoughts were like a bird—Paradise would wait.

Oneness
Diaphanous connections—Instant gratification—Silhouettes of perfection—That is what we do,Raconteurs of politically correct axioms. And then, as wrinkles settle around our eyes,Cantankerous messages suddenly fadeTo make room for the eloquence of experienceImbued with kindness towards the self.Oneness cannot happen without theNervy years of youth.

I have written about Kahlil Gibran quite extensively. And while I have already reviewed The Prophet, I have never explained why this book is so important to me.
“I have a gift for you,” my aunt said to me on a beautiful summer day, over a quarter of a century ago. “This is a special book called ‘The Prophet’. I know…

This digital illustration, which dates back to the end of October 2023, is harder to draw than it looks! But I wanted to give it a try because I am a fan of that kind of art.
I hope to be able to recreate something similar to Katsushika Hokusai’s The Great Wave off Kanagawa eventually…

No, reviews are not just for readers

A few years ago, I came across the worst review ever written about any of my books.
According to the reader, the cover looked amateurish; the poems made no sense; and the whole concept was poorly implemented. The book had zero redeeming qualities and did not even deserve a second look.
Did that review impact sales? Could I have prevented it from being published?…

I cannot remember exactly what time it was on that morning of January 14, 2005. But it was very early, and my depression was trying to play tricks on me.
It expected me to, once again, wallow in the deep hurt I still felt from a traumatic breakup that had happened a few years prior.
I opened my diary and started recording my thoughts. But instead of a long…
