Book Review #10: Warriors - The Prophecies Begin: Fire and Ice
Synopsis:
Firepaw has just been given his warrior name, Fireheart, alongside his friend, Graystripe. An all out war seems to threaten his clan, alongside illness which weakens it. Though Fireheart's suspicion of Tigerclaw having malicious intentions only grow stronger and stronger.
My thoughts:
I enjoyed this book just fine! Nothing revolutionary but it is a nice follow up to Into The Wild. The relationship between Fireheart and Sandstorm develops nicely, and so far, the relationship between Graystripe and Silverstream seems just fine. Nothing crazy.

Book Review #9: Warriors - The Prophecies Begins: Into The Wild
New York Times Bestseller
Author: Erin Hunter
Harper Collins
Page Count: 288
Spoiler Free Synopsis:
A young housecat, by the name of Rusty, cannot seem to enjoy his soft, pampered life. He has everything he could ask for : a warm bed, guaranteed food and water every day, and a best friend who lives next door. What more could he want?
A more exciting life.
He can't stop staring into the woods that are right behind his house. He can't stop thinking of hunting on his own, living on his own, and being wild.
When he eventually does go into the woods our of curiosity, he stumbles into fierce, feral cats who offer him a home.
Now we beg the question-- does Rusty leave his friend and everything he's ever known behind in favor for wild strangers, or does he finally live the wild live he's been craving?
My thoughts:
I've read Warriors all the way to the first book of the fourth series, and then some. As the series went on, I had a lot of issues. Poor writing of the characters, a lack of relationships besides love interests, strange story, need I go on?
The first book is amazing. Especially in contrast to the newest books that I've read. The introduction of a character who is just as clueless as the reader is really helps introduce the culture of clan cats, as we are learning alongside him. Not to mention that he's a genuinely likeable character who doesn't hesitate to help other cats in need. He has a good heart and I found him very relatable. The first book is an amazing foundation for the introduction to the world of Warriors.

Hey its been a minute !!! Woa
Firstly, the partner who wanted me to read Harry Potter ended up cheating on me oops. I lost a love for reading and I couldn't continue the book I was on
But now I'm feeling so much better and I'm getting back to reading !! Right now I'm reading Clarice the Brave by Lisa McMann, and Warriors: Into the Wild by Erin Hunter! Very middle grade I know, but I wanna read more childish books because they make me happy lmao

Book Review #8 - Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
New York Times Bestseller
Author: J.K Rowling
Scholastic Press
Page Count: 434
Spoiler Free Synopsis:
I’ll be completely real, I finished this book a long while ago but kept forgetting to write a review. Now that I have the time, I’ll probably be a little rusty because books from series kind of just merge together for me after I read them unless they’re a Wings of Fire deal (p.o.v character changes in each book). Sorry if this is a bit short and vague, I’m trying my best lmao.
It’s Harry Potter’s third year of Hogwarts and he cannot be any more excited to return. He’s tired of living with his wretched family. Although, on his way there, something very.. peculiar happens. Something that causes Draco to have a new reason to tease Harry. Not to mention there’s a criminal on the loose; a criminal from the horrid prison Azkaban, supposedly on the prowl for Harry.
Also, turns out Harry has a family member he had no idea about.
My thoughts:
I really enjoyed this one!! While I don’t think I can write much about it since it was a while ago, I’m currently reading The Goblet of Fire, AND I have a headache, I must say this book has an amazing plot, climax and twist ending done right!

Book Review #7 - The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time
National Bestseller
Author: Mark Haddon
Publisher: Vintage Books
Page Count: 221
Spoiler Free Synopsis:
Christopher is a boy who is 15 years, 3 months and 2 says old. He is on the autism spectrum, more specifically Asperger’s syndrome.
When he finds his neighbor’s dead dog, who was murdered, he feels obliged to find out who committed the crime.
As he goes on his little murder mystery, he finds out a lot more than he bargained for.
My thoughts:
AAAAAAAAAAAAA THIS BOOK WAS SO GOOD
I originally began reading because it was a school project thing, I was given this book by a teacher. She read out the first few paragraphs and I was really intrigued by how crazy relatable Christopher was before she said he’s autistic, then it made perfect sense to me lmao.
After feeling that amount of relatability, I went home and I read more. And read more. And now 4 days later I’ve completely finished it LMAO
Ending was so nice!! Loved it!!! Not everyday I get a happy ending c:
10/10 worth a read!! Honestly rivaling with They Both Die at the End for my favorite book 👀

Book Review #6 - Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets
DISCLAIMER:
I know that everyone knows this series and it’s been reviewed to death. I also know that the author absolutely sucks. No money has gone to her, I accidentally stole this book oops-
These reviews are mostly meant to keep track of what I read. If I could read lesser known books I would, but it’s important to read these ones. I wanna make my partner happy.
🍄 That being said, onto the review! 🍄
New York Times Best Selling Series
Author: J.K Rowling
Publisher: Bloomsbury Publishing (UK), Scholastic (US), Pottermore (e-books)
Page count: 341
Spoiler Free Synopsis:
It’s Harry Potter’s second year of Hogwarts, and he can’t be any happier to go. Living with the Dursley’s all summer really took a toll on him.
But, yet again, something strange seems to be going on in Hogwarts. The introduction of a new snobbish, celebrity teacher definitely doesn’t help. And Draco, being Draco, tests his patience every day.
Something deadly is lurking around Hogwarts. But what could it be, and how could Harry do anything about it?
My Thoughts:
The series is popular for a reason! It’s pretty good! I’m not sure if I’d exactly call it godly like people make it seem, but I was finding myself dreaming about it.
With this book in particular, the year felt rushed. Of course the author can only do so much in one book, but it felt like Harry went to Hogwarts for a week then left.
We obviously know he didn’t, but with the unnatural feeling timeskips (sometimes she just said that months had passed and nothing else), it really felt like Harry went in as soon as he left. The pacing could’ve been much better.
Other than that I really enjoyed it!! Draco’s my favorite character so far c:
Believe it or not, this is my copy of Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets. I have no idea why it looks the way it does. It just does lmao

Book Review #5 - Wings of Fire: The Brightest Night
New York Times Bestselling Series
Author: Tui T. Sutherland
Publisher: Scholastic
Page Count: 336
Spoiler Free Synopsis:
Starflight is finally back home, and confessed his love to Sunny. Sunny, however, isn’t sure how to take it. She loves him too, of course, but.. in what way?
In the meantime, the Nightwings have been settling in Rainwing territory after agreeing to having Glory as their queen. Everything is fine, up until Sunny finds herself having an entire adventure after being taken without her friends knowing.
My Thoughts:
Sunny my beloved 💕💕 It was so different having things from her point of view. Having her point of view made me really realize how often she’s talked over and brushed off, and I could feel her frustration of her friends never telling her anything important.
Plus, the ending was shakening. I loved it. While reading this book I had no idea how the author could fit a satisfying ending into it, but the ending was more than satisfying. It made me happy.
I’ll be taking a break from the Wings of Fire franchise, mainly so that I don’t have my blog be all about dragons for god knows how long. I’m reading Harry Potter next but I don’t know if I’ll be posting that?? Who knows-

Book Review #4 - Wings of Fire: The Dark Secret
New York Times Bestselling Series
Author: Tui T. Sutherland
Publisher: Scholastic
Page Count: 336
Spoiler Free Synopsis:
After Glory successfully became queen of the Rainwings, Starflight gets taken away by the Nightwings. There, he discovers Nightwing secrets, his father, and a set of “alternative dragons.”
He also makes a Nightwing friend— possibly the only Nightwing he will ever find himself relating to. Not to mention the shocking twist that changes everything we know about the dragonets and the prophecy as a whole.
My Thoughts:
This book is easily my least favorite out of the series so far. I know, starting up with a negative thought, but hear me out.
Starflight is SUCH an amazing character. I love his little bookworm self, the way he’s easily so different from the rest because of his passion for reading, learning, and discovering, how cute he is with the way he expresses attraction and he’s overall such a good boy.
But not a good POV character.
He acts more as a camera. Interesting things happen around him, but he does nothing to make anything happen until the very end. The grand majority of the time reading was frustrating as he kept going “I could do this,,,, but am too spooked” and me saying “OH MY GOD JUST DO IT JUST DO S O M E T H I N G”
We got to learn more about the Nightwings though! That was pretty cool!
This series is still AMAZING! But moral of the story, Starflight sucks as a POV character :D
