1. For My Lover by Tracy Chapman

Sometimes I forget that Tracy Chapman songs exist and then every once in a while I am reminded of her genius. This time it was her performace at the Grammys. This song in particular reminds me of an old roommate, we use to jam hard to this in the house.

2. The River by Fievel is Glauque

If you want a song that will absolutely lift your spirits, it's this one. I don't even know what they're singing about but it always makes me want to dance. Plus, any song with sax is a good one imo.

3. Hammond Song by The Roches

How did I just discover The Roches? I'm in love. I've listened to this song everyday for a few weeks now. I'm also loving The Train and Losing True. They have a great humor to their lyrics so it's been really fun to discover each song.

4. Hammer And A Nail by the Indigo Girls

THIS SONG!! We all know Closer to Fine is a banger but yall are sleeping on this one! I was on a conservation job in the desert for 3 months last summer and it was like this song was singing my life.

5. The Man in Me by Bob Dylan

This song flew under my radar until now but at least now it has graced me. I think I heard it on an episode of Sex Education or something. It just has feel good vibes and the message is sweet, not common for Dylan lol

I love sharing music and finding new gems. The songs I'm sharing are fairly new to my "favorites" playlist. Two of them were discovered through the amazing fanfic, Give Me Death In A Big Cup by @indigovigilance

1) "I Am Here" Pink

I worked up the courage to go to a gay bar by myself for the first time a couple nights ago. I made a few new friends. This song played. It was perfect. It's now on my favorites list.

2) "You're Gonna Go Far, Kid" The Offspring

This is one from GMDBC fanfic. I absolutely love the energy; and, of course, I will always imagine Crowley dancing to it!

3) Organ Sonata No. 4, BWV 528:II. Adante [Adagio] Transcr by August Stradal. Johann Sebastian Bach, Vikingur Ólafsson

Have you ever heard a piece of music for the first time; but,  felt like it was pulled straight from your soul? This was originally written for the organ but transcribed for piano. Not sure why I feel connected to it, but I do.

4) "Same Same Stars" Sleepy Man

This is another one from GMDBC. Totally different energy from the other one. Much more soft, gentle,  and romantic.

5) "True to Myself" Ziggy Marley

(I like a wide range of music.) This one sort of speaks for itself.
