Im sick of you guys perpetuating the rumor that Ninjamuffin is racist, antisemitic, or transphobic. Im sick of seeing that harmful rumor going around Tumblr. It's from a long time ago, he no longer stands by those awful tweets, he regrets them, he apologized, and learned from his mistakes. He's human, he makes mistakes, I don't want to see you guys cancelling him for it all. If we crucified each other over every dumb thing we say, we'd all be racist, transphobic, or whatever, no matter now many times we apologize, make it make sense! So, stop it. If you don't believe me, here's the link below. Y'all, about the whole "knuckles black" controversy going on at Twitter, I'm seeing some really bad takes, guys. While I agree that the "artist" that "fixed" the original artist's humanized Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles was horrible, it's not for the same reason as everyone else. That "fixing artist" trope is super annoying and somewhat destructive behavior towards art in general, nobody likes that kind of person on their high horse. It's fine to make your own version of it, but when you claim to have "fixed" something, that's when it crosses a line, don't do that. Also, yes, they're right, Knuckles is black/jamaican coded, there's no denying that, it's just a fact, or at least it was during his debut. While I really don't agree with how he's black coded due to it being based on stereotypes, he just is. (Doesn't make any sense considering his Echidna tribe's culture is based on Mayan culture, and Echidnas come from Australia.) You don't have to make him black if you don't want to, he's a fictional animal without any human race. Speaking of which, Knuckles is a fictional anthropomorphic Echidna, you are allowed to see him as any race you want, same goes for all the sonic characters. Just don't go taking your own depictions as fact over someone else's view, that's when it gets toxic. Also, because of this controversy, I've seen someone say that white people are no longer allowed to draw black people? Like, what the fuck, guys? Do you realize how harmful and counterproductive that is? At our current age, diversity and inclusion is a thing for many artists to strive for, and telling them they can't draw a certain race because they're a certain color is inherently racist, if we want to strive for diversity, we can't say that to young artists that just wanna include everyone, absolutely no more of that. I do heavily recommend and encourage white artists to do their research and listen to POC stories to prevent them depicting other races based on harmful stereotypes. We shouldn't condemn other artists from drawing certain races, we should encourage them to do their research to depict other races and cultures accurately. Anyway, with that said, if anyone wants to perceive any sonic characters as black, white, Asian, indigenous, or whatever, then let them, it doesn't hurt nor concern you, they are fictional anthropomorphic animals, but if it is based on harmful stereotypes or said person forces their headcanons onto you or someone else, call them out on their toxic behavior.

There's another piece of evidence I'd like to add to this post. Look at these salmonids.

Look at what they're wearing. They're wearing clothes. Not just animal skins, these are fully threaded cloth paired with handmade belts, all in great condition too! There's no possible way that these salmonids just stole thrown away inkling clothes, as all of the clothes these salmonids are wearing have no signs of wear or tear, and these clothes seem to fit them perfectly and would not at all fit an inkling's body. It's as if the salmonids made these clothes for themselves specifically, for their own species, all by themselves without inkling interference. Another thing, there's no way an inkling simply threw these out, not only because of the reasons I mentioned before, but also they match each other, as if the salmonids have their own fashion trend or uniforms of some kind. Clearly the salmonids made these outfits themselves, and in great quality too! As minimal as their fashion is, it's nowhere near primitive, these guys clearly know how to make clothes for themselves and each other! No animal knows how to make clothes, especially advanced and high quality wear. The only ones that do are fully sapient creatures, like inklings, octolings, and the humans before them.

Let’s talk about Salmonid intelligence!

There seems to be a wide misconception that Salmonids aren’t intelligent, or at the very least, aren’t as smart as Octolings or Inklings. This idea couldn’t be farther from the truth! And because I’m the Resident Salmonid Fanatic™ it’s my job to talk about this. 

In hopes to make people consider and think of Salmonids in a better light, and NOT as pets, I’m going to do my best to pull evidence from in-game, as well as interviews, that imply or outright confirm that Salmonids are sapient, much like our beloved Octolings and Inklings.
