The broadcast addressed the Korbin situation in the first half and they showed her on the bench a couple of times and she looked awkward and uncomfortable. A lot of nervous smiling. The only person she talked to was Lily. And then in the second half when she was subbed in for Coffey they quickly glossed over it. I think it was an unplanned sub cause when Coffey left the field with the trainers, they said Korbin was told to get up and start warming up and then next thing we know she’s in the game but they never showed her subbing in.

It was definitely an injury sub that they never wanted to make. And Japan was still very much attacking and not sitting back so it’s very understandable why they made that sub specifically. It sucks but I get it, unfortunately.

You might think that I'm joking when I say that we need cyborg rights to be codified into law, but I honestly think that, given the pace of development of medical implants and the rights issues raised by having proprietary technologies becoming part of a human body, I think that this is absolutely essential for bodily autonomy, disability rights, and human rights more generally. This has already become an issue, and it will only become a larger issue moving forwards.

i know this isn't the take everyone wants but obviously the best thing is for Korbin to grow and change not whatever retribution people seem to want. There are other religious players on the team and I hope they are willing to have conversations with her that might help in her growth just for her as a person. she's not excused by her previous environment at all, but also let's not have unrealistic expectations of people who haven't been well exposed to better viewpoints.

I believe people can change and I hope she does eventually. Being around the woso community at large instead of her toxic vibes family may be what she needs to (unfortunately slowly) deprogram her belief system. The kid should still be in college, which is where you’re supposed to be exposed to the world outside your bubble.

That said, I hope she receives some level of consequences. Not full on bullying, that may just cause her to double down on demonizing people, but something serious enough to make her consider her actions. She IS at an age where her actions can start meaning something now
