asking for dead micah fanart is insane ++ racism allegations and i never knew about that despite being on twitter. this is such an eye-opener for me since im a huge fan of error143 as well as recently having played going live! while i did see the content warning for it beforehand, it was still not quite as graphic as it was being advertised as (def thought it was going to be another fun cutesy vn) and after playing it, the endings were definitely meant to be shocking for the sake of it. it is still a very delicate topic that should be handled with appropriately, no matter how someone receives it.

ig i went through the game with rose-colored glasses since it's from a well-known dev. learning that it's also a tactic to get more reviews makes so much sense with her recent tweets, i feel sick.

Hi Just making this post to talk about that issue because I feel like no one talked about it but Im more than disgusted by jennyvipham’s decisions with her latest game ( going live ) and the recent video i saw on my feed.

for people unaware i’m gonna make it short but go dig yourself : the dev is using suicide as shock value to get her followers to rise her ratings on itch.io.

Why do i talk about it ? First off because it’s terribly handled and for a dev who is very successful and already has a big audience she should have approached it with more precautions. She would have had good ratings anyways based on how big her fanbase is. Suicide is a complex topic and one that I heavily believe should be treated with research and precautions EVEN MORE if it’s used in settings that are meant to bring comfort / be cute .

What made me want to writte this post is that I came accros one video where she asks people to send her art of Micah yujin ( her main character of error 143) dead

Error 143 is a very popular game targeted as a feel good romance storie, bringing death content to the main characters as the dev is exposing people to something they didn’t signed up to see + is more than questionable considering the character is one of the rare representation of a black man Li in dating sims.

This add up to the racist controversies that i wasn’t aware about and are not in good position to talk about since it all happened on twitter ( social media that I don’t use )

I’ll also use this post to tell you that you should leave reviews and coms on games you enjoyed on itch.io as it helps the devs grow and simply makes them happy. Getting review shouldn’t be about emotionaly guilt trip your audience using suicide as marketing technique.

Would anybody from the cast go back and rewatch the BOTB season? The idea of Seven going back and just cringing at how intense and dramatic they used to be makes me laugh lol

Like a reality show reunion? hahahahaha I have that tucked away in the back of my mind

other than that, seven wouldn't watch it willingly. They don’t even watch their MVs unless they’re criticizing themself. They’re too embarrassed.

G watches everything they’re in and reads all the comments, articles and reviews. For the job they have, they're quite chronically online. The rest of Misfit Alley aren't interested enough to watch.

Like Seven, Victoria is quite critical of herself. Unlike Seven, she would definitely watch all of her stuff.

August would, mostly because they can't help themself. They do like the show outside of their involvement so it would be unavoidable hahaha

Blake would definitely watch. If O was part of it, they'd watch to see what they did and didn't do wrong/what they could improve on.

If Seb were on the show, he would not watch. Maya would make him though.

As for the band, Devyn is prob the only one who wouldn't want to watch. Everyone else would def watch !

Update - uhmm wtf guys ? 😭I just woke up to this and this is the most craziest y'all have gotten with the love. Thankyou so much and I'm glad everyone is loving the BOOPSTERS. Maybe they'll be back some day or maybe you'll be treated to some new faces soon since my exams end on 23rd.

Also Seb ->I wanted to do one guy per season ( I don't consider season 5 and 6 a season and I haven't played season 7 yet). Back to why I didn't add seb, I feel like he has more of an introvert energy as compared to these guys, like he's the more kinda quite funny one, and all the LIs featured in this are the loud funny ones, so I felt that the vibe was a BIT different.
