Turning his attention to the next two. He blocked a side swing with the Force and drove his blade into the other's shoulder. He dodged back to get out of range of their blades and launched his saber at the one he blocked.
It embedded itself in his abdomen and he quickly summoned it back to block the final Knight.

Chapter 28 (pt. 8)
He didn't have time for this. Summoning his green blade, he ignited it and lunged for the nearest one. His blade crashed through the hilt of the knights saber before he had a chance to ignite it. He shoved him away with the Force as he started screaming from the loss of a few fingers.

Chapter 28 (pt. 7)
"Headed this way?"
His eyes landed on one of his... one of the Knights of Ren. Then another and another. Four of them were surrounding him. He drew his blade.
'Ben, hurry.'

Chapter 28 (pt. 6)
He seemed to fly through the building with ease. He didn't even question which turns to take. He could feel the force guiding him. His Master. His grandfather. Master Kenobi. Master Yoda. So many others he didn't recognize.
This had to be finished quickly. It had to be finished today.

Chapter 28 (pt. 5)
He nearly made it to the door when a massive shift in the air made him stumble. A rush of Light overwhelmed the sky as ship after ship appeared.
He couldn't see it, but he knew Poe was up there. He could feel him.
Unfortunately, the fleet above didn't stay dormant and immediately began firing on the Resistance. Ben turned and continued sprinting.

Chapter 28 (pt. 4)
Rey and Palpatine were there.
The moment his cockpit opened, he took off at a sprint for the structure. He had maintained his calm until now, but he had heard stories of Palpatine's powers. He hoped Rey could hold her own.

Chapter 28 (pt. 3)
He expected more resistance from the fleet above, but they seemed to be letting him pass. Palpatine must want him alive for now, but why?
There certainly weren't any answers immediately when he landed. The ground around him was a barren wasteland. The structure ahead was the only sign that there might be life here.

Chapter 28 (pt. 2)
Then there was Rey. If he hadn't been so overwhelmed by the dark side, he probably would have noticed her first.
She was a bright spot in this dark place. He hadn't felt much of a pull in a while, but he knew he was supposed to be with her.

Chapter 28 (pt. 1)
Exegol. It was as dark as he expected, but a lot less... Intimidating.
Sure the massive fleet in the air was daunting, but the planet itself didn't have many structures or signs of great accomplishments. It was broken and scarred.
The presence of Palpatine was immediately apparent. The man had to know he was here. He didn't feel anyone looking for him, but he knew how easily Palpatine could hide himself.
He wanted to be found.

'We're with you.'
The presence of his Uncle and Grandfather felt like they were joined by dozens of others, maybe even more.
If they all believed in him, maybe he could do this.

Chapter 27 (pt. 11)
R2 was already loaded into the X-Wing by the time Ben dropped in. He glanced to Poe one more time, who shot him a smile and a nod.
Ben only managed to return the nod, before disappearing into the controls. He had to focus now. The fate of the galaxy was the most important thing right now.

Chapter 27 (pt. 10)
Ben's heart lurched as he also stepped back. He wanted more than anything to grab a hold of the man, but this was too important to distract people right now. Besides, this was so new. Poe couldn't be sure this was what he wanted, putting it out there would put him into a difficult spot.
He turned and headed for the X-Wing before a tear could fall. He couldn't think about this right now. More important things were going on.

"Don't be far behind." He looked into his eyes for what could easily be his last time.
"I promise."
Poe looked like he wanted to kiss him, but he took a step back and nodded towards the X-Wing.

Chapter 27 (pt. 8)
He grasped his arm tighter, leaning in a little closer before taking a step back. "Then you better be safe."
He couldn't help but smile at him. The one chance he finally had to make a decision and Poe could easily deny him, but he didn't. He trusted him.
