so kelly kline was one of the most influential politicians in the united states head of white house staff and in a good position to move upwards in the golden years of her political career still a young person with real goals and desires both personal and career wise. then a man (who happens to be the devil at the time) gets her pregnant and all of that stops mattering. suddenly all she wants is to be a wife and mother. we wonder if she ever even cared about government or if it was all a ploy to get at potus romantically. and ultimately none of it matters bc narratively her life begins and ends with her pregnancy and birth. she gets pregnant on accident, is pushed towards termination despite her own wants, is pushed towards keeping it despite her own wants, ultimately gets no choice because the baby wont let her die, only to die shortly thereafter in childbirth. the only person she can trust is the same kind of monster that did this to her in the first place, an angel, who only deins to help her after being touched by the child. and then her only support disappears at the moment of truth and she goes through labor with a complete stranger who we are supposed to view as suitable because she has given birth as well. but really mary is a stranger to kelly, seeing her at her most vulnerable, the nakedness of birth and the nakedness of dying. she doesn’t even get to experience the bloody catharsis of childbirth, the painful moment when the child becomes a separated entity and the first moment of contact with it as its own entity. she gives psychic birth to an adult man she never gets to hold and dies instantly. she’s burned on a shared pire with the angel that promised to keep her son safe, by the man who tried to take him away. supernatural and women huh.
Someone asked Alex who Jack would most want to smoke weed with and his response was ‘you want a three year old to smoke weed??’ then said maybe Dean because he might’ve been much nicer
even if you're not a supernatural fan, if you've been on tumblr long enough you are, like, culturally. like cultural christianity in america except it's the cw's supernatural. you may never have watched an episode or set foot inside the tag but your regular life shuts down on their holidays and all of your world news is delivered through that point of view. something to think about
misha telling the story from njcon last year and how it got picked up by so many news outlets and warner brothers told him to just not say anything about it. oh god why
