Teeth being a class signifier in the US is such a *thing* I swear. It's like... I see people online being like "oooh they have a gap in their smile what a dirty poor hillbilly" and then I'm like... I have one IRL friend over 30 who (I think) has all her teeth and she's the "rich" one.

And we're all pretty comfortable for being "poor" things could get much much more difficult, even in the US.

My SSDI hearing is in like 2 weeks and I'm ANXIOUS. Apparently it's mainly talking to the judge about why my medical records don't talk about my disability back when I had to quit working, but like... the consequences of the hearing are going to greatly affect my life and I also have to talk about how I was gaslit (literally told I was crazy) about my degenerative disability developing and that was the worst time in my life.

Also still dealing the caregiver support program and THEIR stuff too, but everyone involved who isn't on the board that keeps denying me is frustrated and mad about the denials so it's less upsetting than the ssdi hearing.

Life will get better I swear it

Apparently there was some kind of race scheduled at a local park or something so I've been trying to avoid the main trail but a little while ago when I had to cross near it I overheard the following shouted exchange

today I was at the mall in Hot Topic and it's pretty crowded in Hot Topic and I use a wheelchair so I take up a lot of space. someone wanted to slip past, said excuse me, and as I was going to grab my push rims to move and make more space they grabbed me and moved me. I called them out on it and said "hey please don't move me without asking" they lied insisting that they hadn't moved me. I was like "uh okay sure but I know what I felt"
